Owner called me a d**k head because when I was leaving I said "ridiculous" to my self because they couldn't install Bluetooth speakers on a 71 land cruiser. All I needed was speakers mounted to a roll bar and power ran from battery. Said they couldn't get them without even looking. I even offered to source them but they won't install unless they sell. It's a simple job that I'll just do myself, I just wanted to pay someone to do it. Guess they don't need the business. Good for them! Well if saying Ridiculous is getting pissy then yes, I got Pissy. You are so fortunate to own such a thriving business where you can turn down simple jobs. Yes I think it's ridiculous that a car audio shop that's been in business 34 years can't source waterproof speakers. The owners here are great and extremely knowledgeable. I had window tinting done initially which they did extremely quickly and very professionally. The tint looks far better and has weathered better than any other company I or my family has used. I also went here for my car audio. I wanted subs for my truck, and they were able to give me suggestions that would be best suited for my vehicle. Mark went above and beyond trying to find a box that would be better for me than the normal sealed boxes that are usually available for my truck. All in all the sound was far better than I had ever imagined it would be and for a lower price than I anticipated. They even carpeted the piece of wood they mounted the amp to, to make the install look that much more professional. Mark and Missy are truly one of a kind. We have been doing business with them for 30 years, yes since 1991 and the service has always been 100. Professional, Dedicated, and Exceptional Customer Service, they are the only company I trust with our vehicles. I called Missy to tint the Telsa Model 3, she said we tint the S, but not the 3 and she referred me to a company to get it done. I remembered that I made a mistake and took the Challenger to another company in 2014, not on her recommendation of course, horrible job that other company did and I ended up taking the car to Missy to repair it, so lesson learned. I called her back and said that her and Mark's attention to detail is definitely top notch, so let us be the first ones... So when I needed a new radio I went back and they helped me pick out the best buy on the radio including hands free phone and a back up camera. Installed it in less time then they promised and could not have been more pleasant to deal with. And they did a perfect job with the choice of equipment and the quality of their work. However, I went in to inquire about prices to get some audio work done on my truck, and the lady behind the desk was a complete b!tch. The workers didnt seem very knowledgable about sound systems, so I will gladly take my money elsewhere. I really have a problem with employees who treat customers with a snotty attitude. read more

The business is owned and operated by a couple. Both stand out for their impressive knowledge and conscientious approach to their work. I bought a new radio for my daughter's Jaguar X-type as a 17th birthday present. They solved the technical issues relating to fitting a new radio to the Jag's dash, which apparently is difficult. The radio we agreed on looked and sounded great at a very reasonable price, and was a vast improvement over the factory radio. Though they had a busy installation schedule, they made room for me so that the radio would be ready for my daughter's birthday. A strange thing happened after the install. The check engine light went on, apparently from some glitch in the Jag's programming. The time they spent and the concern they showed in helping me solve the problem was truly amazing. My husband went to Uptown Tint and Sound in person to ask about tinting services, and dealt with a woman he described as "moderately helpful" who said she would probably have some time to tint the windows on my car in the next few weeks. When we were able to get an appointment, my husband and I drove up to their questionable looking building and were met by the same woman, who I would describe as completely UNhelpful and extremely rude. It is her job to know about window tinting, not mine. In spite of this, she was completely exasperated that we were unsure if the back windows required tinting or if the privacy glass was sufficient. She did not provide any explanation of services or benefits either way; she was just very annoyed and short with us as we tried to determine what services we needed on our own. I then asked about getting my windshield slightly tinted for UV and heat protection, which I had done years ago in another state without issue on my previous car. She cut me off before I could finish my sentence and snapped at me that she couldn't do that because it was illegal. I told her I'd gotten it done before in another state and she rolled her eyes and repeated herself louder. It turns out she's right, and even transparent film is not legal on windshields in Georgia - the very nice people I chose to take my business to happily explained that to me, since it is an issue they deal with on a daily basis. I am totally accepting of the fact that the law is different than I believed it to be, but I deserve to be spoken to like a human being. Apparently the woman at Uptown Tint and Sound is above explaining herself to people, and thinks she can just make faces and snap at customers and still expect to be paid for her services. I was honestly taken aback at how terrible her attitude was, and her complete lack of customer service skills. After being snapped at and scolded, I told her I was actually not comfortable leaving my car there and would prefer to go somewhere else. She responded with "okay great, thanks for wasting my time." Truly, she treated our whole conversation like a complete and utter waste of her time. That's not how I like to feel before I spend several hundred dollars, so that's not where I chose to spend it. read more
