My vehicle is consistently well-maintained. The staff is highly professional and welcoming.

The service is just not there at this neighborhood car wash. The staff spends a lot of time chatting with each other while washing your car which delays the job. I have shown up when there was only 1 car ahead of me and was told they couldn't take care of my car, because I needed an appointment. If that is the policy, it needs to be clearly POSTED up front so people don't waste a trip driving there. For a neighborhood car wash, I expect a decent, no hassle car wash to go to. This is the third time this has happened-and I have come at varies non busy times, during the week. Its not like they are inexpensive or the only car wash in the area. I won't try to get my car taken care of Gibson ever again. Huge disappointment. read more

I drive by the location quite often and thought I'd give them a chance to detail my Honda CRV. I had just finished a trip to Virginia and back so the car was very messy. I bought the wash 3 for interior and exterior detail. I was very pleased with their service. The employees were very friendly and the detail was perfect. my dad brought me here yesterday and it was such a good experience. Immediately when my dad walked up, the owner and his son recognized him and they were both super personable, funny, and kind. They really do everything by hand and considering how good and detailed of a job they do it's pretty quick and a really good price. it took about 45 mins give or take and my car looked new. We waited in the barber shop next to his washing station and the women working in there were so nice even though we were only there for our car, definitely coming back. read more

Long story short, the minimum charge here is $45 and not the $20 or $25 advertised. I confess I'm quite disappointed. I pulled up and chose the $24.99 option which included exterior and vacuuming at which point the attendant asked, "You got dog hair, right?" I don't own a dog and have never had any animals in my car. There is lint from Armorall wipes on my dash but nothing that even resembles dog hair. Their up charge for dog hair is $20, almost doubling the price. Still hoping to patronize a small business, I asked what I could get for $25. The attendant said they would still have to charge for dog hair. Ummmmm. Luckily, no one had pulled in behind me and I could easily back out. In truth, I can't say they do a lousy job cleaning because I felt like I would have been taken for a ride had I stuck around and I didn't allow them to clean my car. There are shiny cars parked outside, after all. But this place gave me that scammy vibe. I just don't have time for that. read more

Just got home from a wash, which wasn't these clowns. I live south of his place so I was traveling south on Friendship. From that direction you have to take a left onto Hog Mt. Rd and then make a quick right into the parking lot and proceed behind the convenience store. Upon coming upon his business I encountered NO SIGNS, EMPLOYEES OR ANY TYPE OF DIRECTIONS what so ever. I continued around the building and through his cones where I was met by a man with his arms out in the " what the hell jester". I stopped, rolled down the window and told him I wanted a car wash. I was then informed in a demeaning manner that they " washed cars back there". I rolled my window up and immediately decided to FUCK HIM and left! He acted like he is the only game in town. There are two other car washes within few miles of his so i went to on of his competitors and have decided to never return. read more

Decent job, but the up charge is crazy high. They advertise 49.99 for their best wash, but you better be driving a Prius. I made a reservation on line, but the weather was bad, so I made another and again, the weather was bad. Some made another and explained to them via email what my intention was. Each reservation is 12.50, so they said that they would apply that to the total. So I had 37.50 in deposits, and when I got there, my 49.99 wash went up to 85.00. I knew that there would be an up charge because I drive a truck, but I didn't know that it would almost double. Then when it was time to pay up, my charge was still 65.00. If you take 36.50 from 85.00, my cost should have been 47.50. I don't understand that math, but instead of making a scene, I paid and hopefully this review will help someone. read more

I've used them quite a bit although it's been a while now. I have to say it's no longer price worthy. Wanted to get their #2 wash which is $20.00 more than the #1. They want to add an extra $15.00 because I have an SUV. It's not a big SUV but a Santa Fe Sport which is midsize. They always did a good job in the past but I couldn't warrant having it done again at that much so I said thanks but no thanks. Ridiculous prices and deceiving. Sign says $25 in and out wash (does not state based on vehicle size). However, I figured mine would be a tad more expensive being a standard SUV. All mats were already removed to make it easier for them to vacuum and crumbs and debris on ground. No stains or anything requested to be taken out and they wanted $75 to wash, vacuum, and wipe down. Very unfriendly, as well. He replied to another review claiming I had neglected vehicle and had dog hair in it. There's never been a dog in my car and I shook off floor mats and placed in trunk to make it easier for them to vacuum. He claimed I asked for "full service" when I asked for wash, vacuum and wipe down. Other washes do excellent job for half the price. Save your time and wallet. read more

They quote you one price and at the end of services you charged a ridiculous amount for services you did not ask for and they will not provide details of what they have done to your car. When I confronted the owner about the $277.00 upcharge he claimed that's what I asked for, not true. I was quoted $35 for a simple vacuum and hand wash. I have a 2016 Chevrolet Equinox what can be done to it worth $277? I called the owner the next day with my concerns and he immediately got irate, yelling, cursing because he knew he was in the wrong. A.dispute was filed and the charges are under investigation with my bank. As I said, earlier, this place is a rip-off, don't get caught up in the scheme. What an amazing find! Gibson Family Car Wash gave my car the best wash it's ever had. I was nervous because a few machine car washes had damaged previous cars I had owned, and it was hard to find a car wash service that didn't run the exterior through the machine. But Gibson Car Wash was done so carefully and completely by hand. My experience was truly favorable, and I will definitely be coming here regularly for all of my car washes. The customer service was excellent, to begin with. The owner himself greeted me and explained the different car wash options to me. The wash itself was incredibly thorough. The exterior was sparkling and given multiple scrubs, and then the team dried the car by hand, polished it, cleaned the wheels, dusted the interior, and vacuumed the entire SUV. Even in the bitter cold, they didn't rush and paid attention to all the little details. There are multiple levels for the wash, too, so the price was extremely reasonable given the wonderful service and quality at Gibson. I really couldn't recommend it more!! read more

The job they performed was well above average. I had my headlights refurbished and my car washed and waxed and cleaned insides and out (I arrived too late for a full detail). Pretty awful experience. I called ahead of time to make an appointment, got there and pulled up just to have one of the attendants have me wait a good 5 minutes as he answered his cell phone to talk to somebody. Then he just started spraying my car down without making sure he knew what I wanted. Then I sit under a tent they had on these uncomfortable chairs for TWO HOURS in the hot sun. Only to have the same attendant tell me that they need to upcharge my total by $25 bc I had dog hair in my car. I thought that was a little ridiculous but I thought "hey, dog hair is prob a little difficult to get up from cloth seats". Then 20 min goes by & he walks up to me again and says he had to bump me up from bubble 4 to bubble 5 (a $15 higher price package) bc I quote "I had to do all that crap anyways". Then he brought me up to my to look at it, and one of the other attendants told me that they had to charge me so much more and that it's taking so long to clean bc I neglected to tell them the condition it was in on the phone. Basically blaming me that it was taking so long even though they stopped cleaning my car at one point so they could clean & finish a different car that came after me.... really?? All in all I got charged $75.99 when I originally asked for a $35.99 package. I may have had dog hair on my mats & seats but a $40 up charge for a mediocre job and crappy attitude/customer service was not worth any money at all. Btw, there was no notice on their websites or their on the site signs that they will charge more for dirtier condition... only that they will charge more for bigger size cars. I have a 2 door coupe.
