    Chicken Dum Biryani
    Katie T.

This place is pricy, but delicious! The atmosphere felt like a mix of contemporary and bourgeois. There is a pretty large menu, so I guarantee there is something for everyone. I went with the garlic naan (holy moly to the amount of garlic on this!) and the chicken dum biryani. The waiter cautioned me it was medium spicy, and I almost changed my order, but they tried hard to make it as mild as possible (apparently they make large batches). Definitely doable once I added the white yogurt sauce! It was delicious and the chicken (despite having bones) had lots of flavor. As for drinks, they focus on wine and cocktails. There were only about eight beers to choose from, so pretty basic. It was often hard to communicate with the staff given the language barriers, and one of the waiters seemed new as he kept bringing items to our table that weren't ours, but everyone was helpful. I think there is a covered outdoor patio but they weren't seating anyone in the area when I visited.

I absolutely love Urban Angeethi. Parking is usually easy, restaurant has this wonderful ambience with an array of music choices (my fav is when they do smooth jazz). This place makes for a great date night but also a wonderful family and fun restaurant. They have a really nice covered patio and I've dined there during dinner hours. On the weekends they've started having a lunch buffet which is one I didn't except to like the way I did. I LOVE that the vegetarian food doesn't share a fryer with meat/seafood because it makes this place safe for all shellfish/seafood allergies giving you this array of options! The staff is always patient with me answering allergy related questions and it becomes a great spot for everyone else to enjoy a meal of their choice too! They do table service for the naan during buffets which is another extra that sets them apart. I absolutely hate when restaurants just dump naan in lots in a buffet tray, compromising the value and goodness of this amazing bread. Not at Urban Angeethi and with their quality of food- we will always return

    Chicken Jangezi

The ambience is great as compared to other Indian restaurants. The food was good too. We ordered chicken 65 as appetizer and chicken Jangezi as our main course. The dinnerware were ethnic. The food was delicious. The restaurant is a little expensive for what it is.

butter naan, paneer pasanda, methi chaman

delicious food!!! my original plan was to sit inside and eat, but it was raining so hard when it got to dinner time that i decided just to get takeout and go back home. i placed the order over the phone and it was ready in 20 minutes! i ordered 2 butter naans, paneer pasanda, and methi chaman. the naan and paneer were nothing extraordinarily special, but still really good - on par with other indian restaurants in the triangle. the methi chaman was absolutely delicious! i like when indian restaurants have something a little different to distinguish themselves from the hordes, and i really enjoyed this dish. prices were slightly higher than average, but nothing crazy, and the portions were large, so i'm happy! the ambience inside looked nice, so i'd like to dine in sometime if i get the chance!

Urban Angeethi is RTP's newest indian restaurant. I finally got a chance to try it out. There are so many Indian restaurants in the area that you really need to step up your game to be successful. The price point for Urban Angeethi is on the higher end as compared to it's competitors in the area. With that being said, we went for dinner on a Tuesday night and surprisingly it was busy. It was four of us and we ordered a couple of appetizers and drinks to start off with. Karara Palak Chaat : I was a little skeptical about ordering fried spinach but it was actually really good. The crispy fried Spinach topped with Yogurt and chutneys made a great combination. Lamb Seekh Kabab : It's a classic tandoori dish. The lamb was grilled perfectly and was a bit on the spicy side. Jhinga Dil Tikk : The sesame coated prawns were really flavorful and were cooking to perfection. Chicken 65 : Considering that chicken 65 is one of those dishes that is available at almost every indian restaurant, it was not cooked well. The chicken was simply fried and served with no seasoning whatsoever. Murg Shahjahani : We wanted to order something different so we ordered Murg Shahjahani which was also their chef's specialty. The gravy was really rich and falvorful and the chicken was also cooked perfectly. Shahi Tukda Nawabi: This was also a disappointment. Considering it was a dessert, it was not sweet at all. Not sure if it was that specific batch that turned out that way but it was not at all what we were expecting. Overall, it is a nice spot with good food. I will definitely go back again!

    Chili paneer

My friend and I came here for dinner last weekend. We were impressed as the restaurant had very fresh ingredients. The chili paneer was much different than most Indian restaurants. The sauce was seasoned well and spicy. We also got schewan noodles. These were also very well flavored. They were also spicy. We also ordered their signature paneer sabzi and garlic naan. The sabzi could have been spicier. But it was actually good after the spicy food. I got the guava spritzer, which was very unique. It had chaat masala. The drink was also unique and nicely made. I'll definitely be back to try different items on the menu. If you go here get the indo-chinese, it's amazing!

I'm going to let the pictures speak for themselves!!! The service and food were great tonight! I really appreciated the manager taking the time out to read the customer's reviews! A few weeks ago I wrote a review about some items being removed from the menu! He responded back and added the items back to the menu!

I have to say that Urban Angeethi is one of the best places in the area for Indian food. I've dined here three times in the past 1-2 years and every time i enjoyed it. The food is freshly made and is very flavorful. Every single item i tried here has been a hit and worth it. They have lot's of gluten free options too. Their outdoor area is pretty nice, covered and has heating. Even my 6 year old enjoyed her mango lassi, papad and the food, perfect spice level. The chicken 65 was a hit! Will definitely be going back again in the future.

    Madras Chicken Curry

We came here last night for dinner and got seated right away. The decor and ambience inside was nice, that is what I noticed first . They give you like a pitcher of water for the table to pour for yourself , water was lukewarm though. So the menu is overwhelming, took us a minute to figure out what we wanted. Decided on the Madras chicken curry that came with white rice and some cheese naan. The portion size was good and the naan had like 4 big pieces. We was able to share all of that between 3 of us. I chose a mild spice level and it was perfect. The rice was nice and moist too and the naan tasted good. Overall a good experience here.

The food gets a 5. Chicken tikka masala med was mild. Very flavourful and creamy. Chicken tender. The tandoori

Had high expectations of this place when walking in and it was packed full of Indian people. I guess maybe they only cater to Indians, but we ordered chicken biryani, the waitress asked what spice level, we said mild. The dish came and it was so hot we knew if we ate it there would be consequences, lol! We said to the waitress that the cook must have made a mistake, she said they will remake it mild. Comes out and it's just as hot as the first dish! Again we spoke to the waitress and this time she says "biriyani can't be made mild, only medium and extra spicy"! Come again?! Would have been nice to have told us that....when we ordered!! What a waste of money, and this place isn't cheap either. I'd say if you aren't a fan of super spicy Indian food, this probably isn't the best place to eat dinner.

The food is where it loses me because of how expensive it is and how it just not good enough to justify the price. We went for our 5 year anniversary. We called ahead to have the whole duck. But it definitely not a whole duck. It definitely was a lovely experience but it a bit expensive and not every part of the duck like we thought. We got some appetizers. We ordered the wellness soup and the tea smoked fish fillet. Both were super yummy. We ordered this lobster dish which right away was too rubbery and overcooked after one bite. The wait staff was quick to suggest us to order something else after noticing we didn't love it. He took our lobster away and we went with the seafood Tom Yum. It was yummy but again not worth the price. I have had more flavorful options for a better price. We got the tea which was wonderful. It was nice how they kept it warm and kept refilling the hot water. We got some dessert which was yummy but nothing special. Again I think it was a good place but for the price it needs to be more consistent and have a better wow factor.

The food is consistently high quality, made to order, generously portioned, and offered at an excellent price point. Equally impressive is the service--the staff consistently makes guests feel welcomed, appreciated, and valued. On this particular visit, however, I experienced an issue with my meal. I ordered the Butterfish, one of my favorite dishes, but unfortunately, it arrived cold. I brought the matter to the attention of our server, Mo, who immediately took action to resolve the situation. What happened next is the real reason I am writing this review. The Culinary Manager, Mr. Thomas Johnson, personally delivered the corrected meal to our table and offered a genuine and sincere apology. He explained that he takes full responsibility for the quality of the food served in his restaurant and acknowledged that my meal should never have been served that way. He also assured us that it would not happen again. What impressed me most was Mr. Johnson's willingness to take complete ownership of the situation. He could have simply allowed our server to return the corrected dish with an apology and considered the matter resolved. Instead, he personally came to our table, addressed the issue, apologized, and ensured that we were completely satisfied. He also graciously removed the dish from our bill and provided us with a coupon for a complimentary appetizer on our next visit. WOW! The purpose of this review is not to highlight a mistake--mistakes happen in every restaurant and every business. What distinguishes an exceptional organization is how its leaders respond when something goes wrong. Mr. Johnson's response was an outstanding example of leadership, accountability, service recovery, and genuine customer care. Mr. Johnson did not make excuses, shift responsibility, or leave the situation for someone else to handle. He owned it, corrected it, and went above and beyond to restore our confidence and ensure our satisfaction. That is leadership. Mr. Johnson exemplifies the level of customer service, professionalism, accountability, and compassion that is too often missing in today's service industry. I was already a loyal Bonefish Grill customer; after this experience, I am a lifelong customer! I sincerely hope the executive leadership team at Bonefish Grill sees this review and recognizes Mr. Thomas Johnson for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the customer experience. Employees and leaders like him are tremendous assets to an organization and its brand. Kudos to you, Mr. Johnson! Keep up the exceptional work--you are truly making a difference.
