My friend ordered the chili shrimp (decent but not spicy) and what looked like the Indian version of chicken fajitas, and that was equally as tasty. I've come here a few more times since my last review, and unfortunately I need to lower my rating by 1 star. In general, I've had solid experiences here, but I'd say the quality of the food isn't quite as good as some of the other Indian restaurants in the area. For example, the lamb saag is not bad at all but I've experienced better elsewhere. I think an upgrade in the review is deserved. We had bad experience 9 years ago but I have since visited 3-4 times recently and experience has been consistently good. Went here the day after thanksgiving to catchup with some family members we were unable to host on thanksgiving day. I love every appetizer and entree I've been served here. This place as recommended by many that I asked for a good Indian meal, so we went for lunch and had a couple types of curry (Chicken Kozhambu, and Goat Kahai) I'd never heard of before. Stopped in on a Thursday at around 12:30. My BIL said he has been craving Indian food and was raving about Nazara's lunch buffet. Unfortunately, it must have been a pre-Covid thing because they didn't have this available when we went (Dec 2022). Luckily, they did have some lunch specials. The four of us shared two orders of samosas (1 order comes with 2 pcs) and three lunch specials and it was more than enough food. The samosas were a good size and came with this really flavorful and addictive green chutney ($)/sauce. For entrees, we shared the chicken tikka masala, palak paneer, and malai kofta. All specials are served with rice, naan, dal, raita, salad, and dessert. I didn't love the veggie dumplings in the malai kofta (probably a texture thing), but the sauce was good. The other two dishes were great - can't go wrong with a tikka masala. I also tried dal for the first time, which I really enjoyed, to my surprise - since I don't usually eat lentils and definitely not peas. Dessert was a rice pudding, which was okay but I was also very stuffed by then. Each couple also shared a mango lassi because you it's a must when eating Indian food. My daughter got the Kerala chicken curry and my husband and I shared the butter chicken. We shared both generous dishes as a table and had some leftovers. The Kerala is "hot" so the chef made it a little milder at the waitresses' suggestion. I am telling you: this food is so flavorful. Everything that touched the table was flavorful and well-seasoned! The only downside was the wait :/. I came on a Friday night just before 8. There was a very large party there and maybe two other small parties. My group was included 5 people. We were seated very quickly, but it took the better part of 25 mins to get water. Once we ordered, the wait time was much more reasonable. White rice comes as a side dish, and we were given two large bowls for the table of five; it was plenty of rice!! They rice was also really good and served hot! I ordered the Kerala Chicken Curry, and it's very tasty! It's slightly spicy (maybe a two out of five?) very tender, and has a nice, thick sauce. I highly recommend this dish! Side note: the bowls are very cute and has a cute slant. Stylish! The naan was beautiful! It was very hot and fresh, and just glistening! They are served in large triangles, which is perfect so that you don't have to break off a piece in put it back in the bread basket. I only sampled the dessert and it was quite good! Came here for lunch and had a delicious spicy chicken curry. Love how they serve the meals on the tray, something I haven't had since the very first Indian restaurant I tried more than 20 years ago. My friend and I met here for dinner intending to try out H-Mart, but it was closed to dine in. We both like Indian food so decided to try this place which was open and just on the corner of the same building. We were glad we did. We split an order of Vegetable Pakora (fried vegetables with great dipping sauces) and ordered and split a lamb curry dish called "Lamb Rogan Josh and the chef's specialty bone-in chicken curry dish called "Murg Mussalam" along with good Indian basmati rice and garlic naan bread. With the hopes of this restaurant being amazing last time, I brought my parents here for dinner and we were disappointed this time. Most of the dishes were bland and tasteless, including appetizers and beverages lacked favor. I'm hoping it was an off day or I'm unsure if their regular chef has changed, but they better pickup the slack or else it's not looking good. Below are the items we ordered today. Drinks: -Ganna mojito: could not taste any sugarcane. They just threw a stick of sugarcane in hopes of making it seem "fancy" but it was really disappointing -Mango fizz mocktail: this was an ok drink/average Apps: - pineapple paneer tikka: very disappointing. Paneer was hard. Peppers/Veggies were raw and not grilled. Dish was not warm, in fact was served cold. - tawa chicken: pretty average my husband said. It didn't look as appetizing either. Portion size was good. Main: Chole bhatura: possibly the worst chole we've had. Chole basically had no flavor and lacked taste. Bhatura was ok, but what's the point of a good bhatura without good chole. Very disappointing! Lahori paneer masala: dish lacked flavor. I mainly taste only tomato purée and it was spicy. Disappointing! Dal makhni: ordered this as mild for our son. Came mild but lacked flavor. Chicken mirch malai: average dish. Not something to rave about but not terrible either. Breads: - garlic naan/chilli garlic naan/roti: all average. Chilli garlic naan has some good heat but the naans were all on the crispy side which I was hoping it's more soft and fluffy. In any case, i am hoping this was just an off day because anyone that asks me for a restaurant recommendation, I say Nazara! read more

I frequent the plaza Nazara is in for Asian groceries and always wanted to try out this place. I'm so glad I did! We were promptly seated and the service was great, our water was refilled multiple times and the server came to check on us to make sure everything was to our liking :) We ordered gobhi manchurian, garlic naan, palaak paneer, and kerala chicken curry. We especially enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer, it had a crisp crunch and was tossed in a sweet and sour sauce. The garlic naan was cut like a pizza which is something I don't usually see haha. It was thinner that most naan I've had but I liked it - there was also a generous amount of garlic and butter brushed on. We ended up finishing this before the palaak paneer and kerala chicken curry even came. The palaak paneer was creamy and thick, though tasted a little grassier than I would like. The curry wasn't too spicy and paired perfectly with the rice. The price point is on the higher end given the portion sizes but I think the plating, service, and ambiance definitely make up for it. read more

Best Indian food I've had in a very long time. We had the butter chicken, a scallop dish, rice, and garlic naan. The butter chicken was tasty with a mild spice and plenty of chicken. I tried the scallop dish was a bit too spicy for my pallet however the perfectly hooked scallops made up for it. I don't remember the name Of the dish and it's not listed on their website. The garlic naan was the best I've ever had. As full as we were, we made sure to dip our naan in the butter sauce until there was no more. Bottom line is I went from one tasty folk to the other trying to decide what was best, and it all is best. Great food. Great service. read more

My chicken dish had great flavor but they had put the whole chicken carcass in the dish. So there were ligaments and other things like that which I personally really don't like. Nazara is located in a bland suburban shopping mall that belies its great flavorful food. I've eaten in all sorts of Indian restaurants from the anonymous hole-in-the-wall joints to very refined dining experiences. Nazara offers very good renditions of typical Indian dishes such as pakora and curries. Spice levels are right at what I'd say would appeal to the great majority of diners. I like spices but you don't want them to overwhelm the dishes. Here they have a skillful touch in seasoning so that the dishes are enjoyable and not too spicy or hot. It's a great casual eatery not far from H-Mart so it's a convenient restaurant when you're out shopping or running errands. Nazara has fast, friendly service too. Recommended. read more

Went on Sunday and had 2 of their buffet on a plate specials. Food was delicious. Each dish was served in a small metal bowl. All went well until we got to the bottom of the bowls. The bowls were new, and still had the paper labels glued to the bottoms. We brought this to their attention and they were unapologetic. The told us the bowls were new and that removing the labels would scratch them. I guess patrons need to expect to eat some paper and shelf dust until the labels wear off enough. The interior of this restaurant is eye catching and relaxing. We were greeted first and sat quickly with spacing allowing for lots of distancing between small groups. After selecting the Lamb Rogan Josh and the Tikka Masala we were given our own water vessel and promptly received our dishes 15 minutes later. The lunch menu is easier separated into non-meat and meat based dishes, and your tray separates the items. I liked that aspect and wish I had more of the sides rather than rice, but was still happy overall. If you have room for more unlike me the garlic naan is crisp without being crunchy, and you use that as your serving platform. Or like me- take it home with you for later and crisp it in a toaster oven to share with family. read more
