Seriously wtf is this bullsh*t. You got one barber who always cancels when you have an appointment and then others who don't know how to cut hair. The only one who seems to know how to cut is the owner.

We've been to just about every barber shop within a 5 mile radius and hopped and skipped from barber to barber until we settled on Urban Cuts. I'm definitely particular when I comes to precision and quality of work and Noland is by far one of the best in the area. My husband and 2 boys always look great! He is able to perfect whatever design or idea my boys have and most importantly he is consistent. Pricing is reasonable and in line with other shops in the area. So far I have no complaints.

I have been going to the same barber since the 7th grade. But, I had grown tired of the lack of creativity and forward thinking my barber was lacking. On my first journey to Urban Cuts, I was immediately impressed. I received a haircut from Noland and got the best haircut and beard trim I have had in decades. He took his time and made sure I walked out amazed with his skill and I was. I also observed the quality cuts the other customers were receiving and I can see why the seats are filled. No matter your hair texture, race or ethnicity, you too will find a new home for shaves and cuts at Urban Cuts. I will be returning to Urban Cuts and highly recommend it to all in the area. read more

January 5, I drove around the Gaithersburg area, mainly Germatown and Kentlands and to no avail, I could not find a barber that I felt confident enough who could cut my hair. I figure I'd go to downtown Gaithersburg, hoping to find what I was looking for. I drove around and I saw the word Urban and knew this was as good as it was going to get. I parked, walked in hesitantly, and proceeded up the stairs. I walked in to a Barber shop. Two guys there cutting, I went for the brown dude (I'm Af-Am and female, so I am biased based on some basic understanding of the barber shop in the "hood". Anyway, I waited and watched Ayo do his thing on this Hispanic guy, and I know those guys don;t play either about their hair; it was fabulous! Ayo sat me in his chair as I took off my hat and told him to talk my mohawk all the way down to the roots, give me a gentle lining and make me still look like a lady. Ayo is amazing; he did everything I wanted...totally understanding my basic desire. I have gone natural but he will be shaping and lining me up for a while. Thanks Ayo! read more

I went urban cuts today and it's the nicest shop I've ever been to. JP cut my hair and left me looking fresh. He took his time and made sure he perfected my haircu. Its the Best barbershop in Gaithersburg in my opinion! read more

I took my Son to Urban Cuts after they quoted me $20 for a haircut over the phone. My Son's hair hadn't been cut in years and was very long and had terrible damage on the ends, split ends. While there I noticed lots of smiling faces and many sharp looking, though short haircuts. nothing like my Sons long hair. After waiting maybe 30 minutes and wondering why my Son had not been called a young woman showed up and immediately saw to my Son. They explained to me that she spoke little english, but was their stylist, focusing more on women's hair and long hair. She spent well over an hour on my Son's hair paying meticulous attention to details. We asked how much for her to also trim his beard, she said $5. We s aid OK. After she finished my Son looked great. I asked how much we owed. She spoke with another gentleman and they said $20. I was very surprised. After all that work I was not comfortable with that. Though I am not a rich man I had to give her $40 for such work. I never caught her name. I am very pleased with Urban Cuts. read more

I've been going to urban cuts since they opened two months ago. The only reason I decided to come to urban cuts was for Twin. He's been my barber for three years, ever since his previous location at Exclusive cuts. I'm very particular about who cuts my hair and refuse to go to any barber that isn't him. I have yet to have a bad experience with him and honestly doubt I ever will. He's very loyal to his customers and takes time to really get to know each customer individually. I've gone to him so long that when I go in, I don't really have to explain much to him-he knows exactly how I like my hair cut and shaped up. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for a nice shape up/cut. He will not disappoint you and you WILL leave with 110% satisfaction guaranteed. I've been going to twin for almost 8 years now. He is very professional, and very skilled. The thing that sets him apart though, is he loves what he does and you can actually see it in his work and demeanor. He holds himself and the rest of the staff to a high standard which is reflected in the work they do. If you want a cut by Twin you are going to need an appointment. There are however other barbers available. The shop is well maintained and spacious. I would and have recommended this shop to anyone who wants a good cut. read more

If you are in need a very professional barber go here!!!!! I can not explain how many compliments I got from people. I believe this is the best barbershop in the state of Maryland. They are very professional and the atmosphere is amazing they keep a conversation going so you feel like your time went by super quick. This place is absolutely amazing, a couple of buddies recommended it to me. You cant go wrong with which barber you choose they are professional barbers with years of experience . I needed a cut and beard trim like crazy. Walked in here after reading the yelp reviews. Had to wait a little but but only because these guys take their time with the clients. Fun atmosphere. The guys talk and joke with you and the other guys. They pay attention to what you say and work their magic. Great job. Found my new barber shop. Prices are great too. read more

I can't say enough good things about this spot, all the barbers there are talented so it doesn't matter who you go to. My regular barber JP is very understanding and versatile his fades are perfection just explain what you want and he can make it happen!
