I really wanted to love this joint:( Now on to the donuts- We got a dozen to take home to the kiddos. $36 dollars worth. (It can be way more depending on your picks) Donuts range from $2 bucks and up. I have to say we have eaten donuts from all over. These donuts weren't good. All hype and no substance just good 4 pic opportunities. All their dounts are overly sweet. I mean a few were just ok, but not memorable. Maple bacon was ok, The Chocolate overload was ok, and the plain one in my pics was ok. The others were way too sweet. Like the Big Poppa Yuck! (Talk about Overkill sweet and nasty) The Unicorn all frosting! (Super gross) I mean disgustingly sweet. My girls didn't like them and said they were too sweet. When kids say something is too sweet you know something's wrong. The toppings and fillings were overboard sweet and lacked good flavor. mans upfront today was rude. me and my sister walk in, he greets us as he's stocking donuts and we say hi back. we walk straight past the donut case because we aren't ordering donuts and straight to the register to order lattes. he continues stocking and keeps us waiting there for a while, whole time we're like uuhhhh is he gonna let us order..... orrr? and then in a tone goes "let me know when you're ready to order". i don't know if he thought we were rude for not telling him our order at the case..? but is that not normally how you order? by walking up to the cash register ..??? i just found it unprofessional for him to act petty over something like that lol we were never rude to begin with and YOURE THE WORKER. annoyed you have to tend to customers? like it's just silly to act like that as a GROWWWWN man. The aesthetic of this place was super cute and a great location in downtown Riverside. I liked how the mission inn was walking distance and all lit up for the holidays! H the r doughnuts weren't too bad. Definitely had a nice variety of selection that looked great. Taste wise , it wasn't anything mouth watering after trying it. It was your normal doughnut but it definitely looks appealing. I tried the fruity pebbles and the Salty Sally which looked super cute with the face drawing! W O W. I have heard amazing things about Donut Bar but didn't have the chance to try them until recently since I no longer live in Riverside. Let me tell you this donut shop makes me wish I still did! Donut Bar has a variety of different flavors- some on the standard side and others more unique. Some of their donuts are gigantic as well! Everything about the aesthetic is nice. The place and doughnuts were vibrant and pretty looking but I have to say it stops there. I ordered three different doughnuts and they all tasted very similar. For the sugar intake and price, I wouldn't say it was worth it. I'm all for supporting small businesses but if you really want a tasty doughnut I can't say you'd find it here. Heard a lot of hype surrounding The Donut Bar, especially when this location opened up in Riverside. Finally got the chance to try it out awhile back when I was in the area and - I thought it was just okay. Some of the donuts are tasty and most of the donuts look fabulous, but nothing to really be excited about. Located in Downtown Riverside, Donut Bar does have unique hours, so make sure you pay attention to when they're open. They also close after they sell-out, so it's best to come earlier. There's a free parking structure nearby that's super convenient. We came on a Saturday evening and the place was pretty crowded. Line was out the door with only a few parties allowed to enter at a time. But it went by quickly and we waited in total for maybe about 15 minutes or so. The interior is made to kind of resemble a bar-type setting. Dim lighting, bright decor - your eyes are definitely drawn to the donuts in the display cases. Unfortunately the donuts that I had wanted to try were not sold the day I visited. So I went with a few others - twilight sparkle $3, leche flan $4, strawberry cheesecake $3, lemon pistachio, red velvet, and a blueberry. It seems like most of the specialty/pretty donuts are the same regular donut with glazed topping - the only thing that differentiates one from the other is the unique design. Sadly out of the six donuts that I got, we maybe only enjoyed two of them. Most of the donuts were incredibly dry with very hard outer shell even though they had just come out of the oven. I liked the blueberry and pistachio lemon, but the others - especially that strawberry cheesecake - was super dry and crumbly. Service was not the best either. The person helping me out seemed to really over it and when I mentioned that I wanted to use the Yelp discount, I kind of felt a little shamed from the way he kept mentioning that it's a "secret" discount, etc. If you don't want to give it to customers, maybe take it off of the Yelp page? Overall, can get better donuts in my nearby mom and pop donut shops. Likely will not be returning. read more

These donuts are awesome! I'm not a huge fan of donuts but when I get a craving for some (which isn't often), I want the best. Downtown Riverside has a lot of great places but I'd say this one is a best donut shop around. I love the idea of being able to have a donut and a drink for breakfast! The beer/drink concept is pretty cool because sometimes we need a cold one to start off the weekend! I haven't tried any of the drinks here but I got to taste a few different donuts. First, they are soooo large. The price is a little high but the donuts are definitely shareable. Each one is bigger than two regular donuts at any place like Dunkin or Winchels. They range anywhere from $4-8 I think. We tried the original glaze, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, chocolate, unicorn, and some midnight cosmic one (I don't remember the actual name). There were al so rich and fluffy. I love how airy the inside is but also they are filling. It took us awhile to finish out donuts but even though they were out all day, they were still fresh at the end of the day and didn't taste stale. The parking might be hard to find. We got lucky a few times and parked in 10 minute parking right outside the shop. Street parking on the weekend is hard to find but there's structures all around the area for a small hourly fee. Simply put... Urban Dripp is one of the best and most unique donut shops in the Inland Empire. I would even go as far as to say it's one of the best in Southern California. That's the simply put version. And now for the details! Urban Dripp is located in Downtown Riverside, across the street from Mezcal and across from the UCR Modern Art Museum off of University Ave just before Market Street. Until about a year or so ago, they used to be called The Donut Bar. First and foremost are the donuts themselves. They are made fresh early every day, and they often sell out. So if you see something you like, get it! And I'm pretty sure you *will* find something you like. Their donuts are works of art and are absolutely delicious! They range from $3-$6 each but are sooooo worth it! They have pretty much any flavor you can think of and many you've never thought of. My fave are their apple and blueberry fritters, while the wife's is the "honey bunny". They also make donut creations in tune with the seasons and special events. They also offer several vegan options. Next are the other items they offer. They are also an espresso bar so they offer many of the coffee/tea drinks you'd expect. Most of their coffees and expressos are sourced from local roasters. Pro-tip.. their iced chai latte is one of the best I've ever had! But wait, there's more! They also offer craft beers from local Riverside/Temecula area, as well as mimosas with a variety of juices. Yummmmm! You can usually find the owner, Gil, in the shop most days. He's a very personable fellow and very helpful in making suggestions. All of his employees have always been friendly and accommodating each of the half-a-dozen times we've visited. Seating inside is a bit iffy. There's a few tables available but most of the inside is devoted to the looooong display case for the donuts. However, they do have a nice fenced-in outdoor dining area. And of course, you can their donuts to go. If you ever find yourself strolling around the Downtown Main Street Pedestrian Mall in Riverside, pay Urban Dripp a visit and take a trip to sugary donut heaven. Stopped in this morning to get the kiddo some vegan doughnuts. Decent selection of four kinds: berries n cream, matcha, spiced chai, and I think raspberry cheesecake? All of the donuts were very good and definitely worth coming back for. Located in a cool downtown feeling area (not familiar with the area or sure if it's considered to be downtown Riverside?). I was able to snag a 10 minute parking spot right out front, but looks like there's some nearby parking garages as well. Nice outdoor patio seating area with a big tree providing shade and spots of color for ambiance. I've noticed a common theme with donut shops that offer only a few vegan donuts - obscure options such as matcha and chai, and none of the traditional options such as glazed, chocolate, maple. I've been vegan for a very long time, and I know that it isn't difficult, especially these days, to offer the staples in a vegan option. I understand that it's also based on customer preference and ensuring that you sell what you make, but my two cents is to stick with the staples if you're offering vegan options, with the adventurous options on occasion, or in a more limited way. The Donut Bar is pretty bomb. They sell specialty donuts that are "off the wall" flavors. For example they sell a pistachio flavored donut, cheesecake, etc. They have plain ones like traditional glazed twists and chocolate rings. All the donuts are good, but I advise going for one of the specialty ones since that is really what they are known for. The basic b!tch donuts are good, don't get me wrong. But you want an extraordinary donut. Because you deserve extraordinary LOL Anyway, be prepared for a long line. It's always crowded. Every time I have hit this donut joint, the line is out of the place and wrapped around the building. The service is pretty quick though. The line doesn't take forever.
