I've been to a fair share of brunch places in the Denver Area and hands down this is the best one I've been to. The great thing about this place is the ample menu items selections and the taste of the food. All of the other brunch places have a variety of menu options but the taste is just 3/5. I ordered the protein scramble with egg whites and a chicken sausage and it was great P:P (price to portion) with a great protein content. Also - service was very friendly and nice! The Urban Egg has been on my list for a while and it did not disappoint! We went here for brunch on a Monday afternoon and did not have to wait. Food and service was great! The corned beef hash was a rockstar, it gets 5 stars from me. The beef was well seasoned, tender and moist. I've been disappointed with all of the corned beef hash I've had here in Colorado but this was the best of them all. That jalapeno chutney was perfect and paired so well with the saltiness of the beef. It made for the perfect bite, especially with the over easy eggs. The blueberry pancakes were a hit! It was fluffy, sweet and was a good finish for our big breakfast. I highly recommend the pancakes here. My gf had the garden bowl and said it was great! It was filled with flavor and add in some hot sauce made for the perfect bite. The bowl was healthy and protein packed. I've always had a great experience at Urban Egg. The service is always quick and friendly and the food is always great. Anytime we have friends from out of town or are in the mood for a mix of comfort and healthy brunch food this is where we go. My friend is from California and she loved the healthy egg white farmers market omelette and Heavenly Dew (honeydew fresh juice) she got. I enjoyed my corned beef hash with sourdough toast and Ginger splash juice! She usually doesn't enjoy ginger but had a taste of my juice and loved the balanced flavors! This is a solid breakfast/brunch restaurant with exciting options to temp your pallet. The atmosphere is clean and spacious with a steady roll of customers walking in. I was surprised at how many people were dining there on a Monday morning. I bet during the weekends it's packed. Our meals were cooked fairly well, quickly, and served with a smile. The server was very accommodating allowing us to swap out sides and add things like a cup of green chili even though they don't really have a cup, they have small sides. We did enjoy the green chili by the way! The only menu item we didn't enjoy that much was the corned beef hash. Next time I would get it without the bacon jam. Those flavors just didn't mix in our opinion, and my husband's corned beef was pretty dry with some of it having the texture of jerky. We would for sure visit again. read more

Did another brewery tour while in Denver this past weekend! I swear, I could do one almost every weekend and never get the chance to visit all of them as there are thousands!! To kick off the day, we opted to try this brunch spot because of all of the great reviews and we were not disappointed!! It was snowing and icy out but the place was packed. Definitely recommend joining the wait list before heading over. We had a 35 minute wait so by the time we arrived our table was ready however by 10:45am, the wait was over an hour so plan accordingly!!! I ordered a Bloody Mary to sip on while perusing the menu and it was quite nice. I loved the pickled veggies and splash of pickle juice added to the mix as well as the large olives. It was prepared mild of which for me was perfect and the server brought over a variety of hot sauce in case I wanted to spice it up some. In my opinion, any restaurant offering a variety of hot sauce and not just the cheap stuff (tobasco or cholula) knows great food and flavors!!! My friend ordered the Wild Pacific Salmon Avocado Toast of which was prepared with fresh local made multi-grain bread, topped with smashed avocado, an egg cooked medium (or to your liking), cured wild salmon, cotija cheese, toasted capers and sprouted quinoa served with a market salad topped with fresh melon. Best avocado toast I've ever had. The balance of textures and flavors were perfect and the salad and fruit was refreshing and a great pallet cleanser!! I chose the "Urbano" gourmet sandwich which was prepared with Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, an egg over medium, dressed greens, sliced tomato in a pressed baguette smeared with an amazing black peppercorn mustard aioli!! They will not accommodate big parties! If I could give them a 0 I would. Service was horrible. We called ahead and they said they could take us. Upon arrival they told us it's a 25 minute wait then after a 40 minute wait they told us another 30 minutes. Staff got defensive, instead of apologizing. They always hype up the green chile and huevos rancheros which are good but not excellent. We eat at Urban Egg frequently and until today it's been great. First, let me say, our server was friendly and enthusiastic. Only complaint about service was that she didn't check back on us so I couldn't remedy my food issue. The food issue- I had classic Benedict and it appeared cold hollandaise had been put on my overcooked eggs. My partner's omelet was piping hot and good. Both of our potatoes were barely warm. This was one poor experience from many good ones so I'm reluctant to downgrade my review more than one star. On its own, this would have been 2 stars. We'll take a break from UE for now. read more

Went on Yelp to find a breakfast place and this was number one on the list. Located off the beaten path, this is a must go-to. Very unique in decor and fits a lot of people, but don't be fooled. It fills up fast! We got here at 7:30 am on Saturday and by the time we left at 8:30, there was a line. Food is great. Fresh ingredients, made to order and delicious! I had a vanilla cafe latte to start which gave me the warm fuzzies. Next up was my waffles loaded with fresh berries, whipped cream and something I can only describe as creme brûlée. Yummmmmm. If you're looking for brunch around DTC, this is absolutely your spot. I've been here a few times and always pleased with everything I order. I've ordered the pancake flight (you can pick 3 out of the 4) - all delicious. This past week they had a cherry pancake special which a few of us got and shared - tasted a bit like pie filling, was sweet and delicious, and definitely did not need syrup. Last weekend we went and I switched out my usual sweet brunch for savory and got scrambled eggs with toast and carnitas - it was actually too much food for me, but everything was good. As a bonus, I always recommend to people to get "The Cure" which is a delicious juice drink with pineapple, OJ, coconut water and the special addition of vanilla which makes it *chef's kiss*. It gives it a creamy cocktail-y kind of taste for just a juice beverage. So good. There's almost always a wait on weekends so definitely go to their site ahead of time and put your name on the list (they usually say approximately how long the wait is - last weekend it said 60-90 minutes, but it actually dropped to about 45). read more

I went in to eat brunch on my break from work yesterday and had a very unfortunate experience. There was a VERY loud man on a business call sitting a few tables away from me, he was raising his voice and yelling during his call. I spoke with the waiter and was informed that the loud man was the CEO of the company?!?!? Is this the standard you are setting for your company? I understand it is a shared space, but there has to be somewhere else for this rude man to conduct his business. The waiter was great, food was great as always.
