    Chicken Tahchin

I think here in Coquitlam, you can find one of the best Persian restaurant. We ordered Kashkbademjan for appetizer, that was really good. If you are an eggplant lover, I really recommend that to you for appetizer. For main course, we ordered Vaziri Kebab and Chicken tahchin. They both came with salad and the taste was very good. They have really beautiful interior design with friendly waitresses as well. Behind of the restaurant, they have grocery and bakery. You can find very nice Persian cookies there.

Used to come here often. Loved the koobideh and deep fried pickles. They no longer have the pickles on their menu...and the kabobs shot up in price by like $4. The service was absolute shit last night. This girl took our order and never filled our waters. Came back with our meals...BEFORE our appy. She clearly forgot, so we asked what happened to the appy. She pretended it was on it's way. Once we finished our meals, that's when the appy arrived. She didn't take it off our bill or apologize. We are never returning. Too bad, this used to be a good place. Service sucks. Food was only okay.

Pretty good here. My server was friendly and quick. She came around just enough to ensure my water was filled. Got the lamb shank. It was so tender, fall off the bone tender. It had enough flavor and was delicious. My food came out quick. They gave an ample amount of rice too. It was good, I may come back when I'm in the neighborhood.

Love it and will return! We struggle for lunch date places (tired of browns, milestones, romers). Today we tried UG for Persian. We started with the eggplant dip dish. So yummy and filling. Then my hub and I shared the platter kabob dish (chicken steak and koobideh). It was pretty decent and reasonably price for the portion size. We also went into the grocery store attached to it. We bought pita bread and a big bag of green beans for $3.30. Sooo cheap and fresh!!!!

This pub is strange due to the fact there is a grocery store attached. You can actually see into the grocery store from the pub. Not great. The service was bad. It is clear that the waitresses were hired for their looks not their minds. I sat at the bar for 10-15 minutes being ignored by one waitress after the next. Then one came over to flirt with the old men at the bar and after talking to them for several minutes she turned and said some thing like "oh did you want something?" As if it was crazy to expect service. Then a male bar tender interrupted and said "what can I get for you?" I didn't stay long.

Nice place to visit : We ordered Calamari , Chicken Fingers and Kabob wings . For the Calamari and the chicken fingers everything was perfect as they were lightly breaded and well seasoned . The chicken wings plate was accompanied with rice and salad : first thing to notice is the quantity tha was a little bit smaller than what we were expecting (exactly 5 half wings) and the wings taste was average , rice was a bit dry even using the butter didnt really help while the salad was good and well dressed. Lovely people working there.

I wish that there were more stars available only for this persian food treasure. They have the best persian food that I tried outside of Iran and believe me I've been to so many of them from europe to north america. Everythind is perfect in this trendy casual place with lots of screens, from their amazing presentation of foods to their tastes and for sure the high quality service.

Anyways I came here today because I wanted to buy some supplements as I'm a bit of a health nut so I was in the vitamin/supplement section plus I wanted to use my gift card for something as this woman who I guess was working in the vitamin/supplement section approached me saying "Can I help you with anything or are you just looking?" I just felt awkward because her tone of voice was not friendly and when I replied "No, thank you, I'm okay, with a smile" she didn't smile back, just had a grumpy, bitter look on her face. I kind of felt more like she was suspicious I was going to steal something and I was being racially profiled rather than someone genuinely wanting to assist me. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at this No Frills location today…read more This incident happened today at around 7:45 PM. I was shopping for an Uber customer's order and had been in the store for almost two hours trying to find items. When I could not locate a product, I politely asked a staff member who was stocking shelves for help. Later, I found out from another coworker that this person was actually the manager of the store. The first time I asked for help, he responded in an annoyed manner, saying "it should be over there." I thanked him, but he did not respond. When I needed help finding another item, his attitude became even more unpleasant. He told me that he was not required to help me and that I was asking too many questions. His way of speaking made me feel disrespected and uncomfortable. After this interaction, I spoke with another coworker to ask if this was normal behavior, and that coworker informed me that the person was the manager. Whether someone is an Uber shopper, a delivery driver, or a regular customer, everyone deserves to be treated with respect. Asking employees for help finding products is a normal part of shopping, and this kind of response is not acceptable customer service. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and reviews what happened today around 7:45 PM.

I call it a pork "log", the supplier calls it 'boneless pork loin rib half', and the store labels it as 'pork loin, half centre, and sirloin'. Buying pork this way affords an opportunity for the customer to cut and prepare as desired. After each purchase, I usually cut a roast and chops, and freeze in portion sizes appropriate for future meals. The yield, as I cut and prepared this larger one for freezing was: one good-sized sirloin roast, 12 loin and centre chops, and some extra sirloin. The roast was frozen in a bag by itself, and was large enough for dinner meals, and several lunch sandwiches, and brunch snacks. The chops were frozen by variety, two in each bag, perfect for dinner meals. The extra sirloin was put in its own bag and used in a tagine stew. When sold fresh, these "logs" are usually on sale at reduced prices from other times, when being sold at regular prices, and being sold frozen. For me, the only way I want them is fresh, so I can cut and freeze. Buying them frozen and not being able to refreeze after thawing and cutting is not an option. I purchase them fresh, and have caught some great prices. They are fantastic value buys at those times. Regardless of size, the "logs" provide such a wonderful variety of flavourful pork cuts for many meals. And for me, are so well-deserving of the product 'shout out'.

Better customer service. More healthier alternatives. (It is growing but 2 aisles is tokenism.). More cooked/prepared meals. Their rotisserie chicken can be gamey if left in the heating area for too long. They could time stamp it and discount it after 2 hours. But nooooo. If it is not piping hot...avoid.

It's been a very long time since I last stepped foot in this place so maybe it's just my faulty memory, but it really did seem like they had expanded their offerings at this place. The fried foods were what really stood out for me. I don't recall this being here at all. It took a lot of restraint for me to not buy anything from here. Deep fried squid, deep fried vegetables, deep fried seaweed roll, tornado potato...etc. They all looked so tempting. I grabbed a couple boxes of Kimbap (One Burdock Kimbap and a Fried Gourd Kimbap) plus a Rice drink that was on sale for $1.99. They also had some Triangular Maki (Onigiri) for sale. No Vegetarian flavors. Tuna was the only flavor I could have eaten since I'm Pescatarian. I decided to stick with the Vegetarian Kimbaps though. Upon first glance, I thought the rice drink was made just from rice milk and that it would be dairy free. It was only when I got home that I read the ingredients label and realized that there was actually some milk in it. Not a problem for me, but for anyone who has lactose intolerance...be sure to check ingredient labels always. Anyways, this Rice drink was Sweet Potato flavored. I shared it with my daughter. I think she wasn't too impressed with it. Personally, I loved it. It really did taste like sweet potato. I found that quite impressive.
