Absolutely beautiful environment. The food was out of this world. The service was a bit slow. We arrived a few minutes before a large group, however, their food arrived before ours but other than that it was a great experience.

Pricey but delicious food. I would recommend going during non-rush hour times so you can get better service and better quality food. We went on a Monday at 1pm and the service and food was great.

Visiting Vancouver, Canada I thought I would try this Persian food place located conveniently in a mall in the North Vancouver area. There's always a certain level of ease with restaurants and coffee shops located in malls and with this one the entrance was quite inviting. The front staff were welcoming and friendly and as we sat down we were greeted by our server. So, the service was decent. Unfortunately, that's where that ends. I'm quite familiar with Persian food as I've eaten it all my life.....in restaurants and homemade. I ordered the "loghmeh". The portion was great, the fresh onions, chilli and tomato were a nice touch and the ground beef was quite juicy, however, it had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. No salt, no pepper and none of the other delicious seasoning that makeup the famous Persian kabob with its spectrum of flavours. So, it had no taste. As juicy as it was, it had no taste. Getting to the rice. The staple of Persian food is its rice. It is a specific type of rice cooked in a very specific way very characteristic of the culture. The taste, the consistency and the flavour is the same everywhere with a properly cooked high quality rice making up Persian rice. It is vital to get this item on the menu right simply because it's served with almost everything. The rice at this restaurant was not Persian rice. It was mushy, not cooked properly and I'm almost certain they used some type of short grain sticky rice instead of Basmati rice, which is the best kind to make Persian rice. It is long grain and when cooked properly it stretches and falls like feather. Also, like the kabob, it had no seasoning at all. A real shame. The naan bread that was served was undercooked and very doughy and it was a real pity because they have a wood oven in the restaurant and if only they would've given it the time it needed it would've made all the difference. Overall, it seems that this place has potential but I think there needs to be substantial training in the kitchen and possibly even a touch of extra care. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment and with all the Persian food competition in Vancouver, I will not be back I'm afraid.

I had heard so much about Khaghan and i was excited to try it. I was visiting from out of the country. My friend and I came in for lunch. I ordered the barg kabob and my friend ordered the koobideh. When the food arrived at table, there was a small portion of rice with the barg. I started to eat the barg. It was so dry and I literally felt I had to chew each piece 60 to 70 times to the point my teeth started to hurt. It was the hardest beef i had ever tasted. There are so many Persian restaurants in the area. I will not be coming back here on my next visit to Canada. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the the staff were very nice but the food was not good at all.

Large green trees, light wood frames and knotted sun umbrellas created the perfect vibe for a relaxed Sunday dinner for me. Our outstanding server, Eva provided fantastic dinner service! Not only was she generally hospitable but incredibly knowledgeable which entrees and sauces were gluten free. Her guidance was especially helpful, not only to me but to the table next to us, who were also seeking gluten-free options. My lamb and beef souvlaki was very good. $32. Both meats were very tender and the Greek salad was fresh and tasty, seasoned better than the last Greek place we dined at. The lemon potatoes were a one weak spot. They arrived barely warm and were missing that crispy edge I love. They did, however, have a beautiful golden color and good flavor throughout. I had a bite of their moussaka and was WOWED! $31 This Greek version of Iasagna was rich, flavorful and silky. My glass of Lafazanis Retsina white wine from Greece paired nicely and completed our Greek dinner. $18 4/5 food 5/5 ambiance 10/5 service

It's in a cute house. Feels more spacious, brighter and I love the Greek tunes they play in the background! I ordered the Briam which was baked eggplant topped with mixed vegetables, tomato sauce and feta. It came in a piping hot casserole dish and retained its heat all throughout the meal. It was accompanied by roast potatoes and Greek salad. One of my favourite parts of a Greek meal is always the lemon roasted potatoes. Honestly, I feel that the lemon flavor could have been stronger in these roast potatoes. I could probably make it better myself at home. I still enjoyed the potatoes but I do wish it had been more lemony. The Briam wasn't bad but I wasn't blown away by it. Don't think it's something I need to order again. There was a Mezze taster for 2 on the table. I tried some of the tzatziki and hummus from the Mezze platter with pita bread. Super yummy! I was surprised to see so few Vegetarian symbols on the menu. They have for example, a Veggie Moussaka on the menu but there's no Vegetarian symbol next to the Veggie Moussaka. It sounds like it should be a vegetarian dish. Otherwise, why bother having 2 different versions of the Moussaka on the menu. Spanakopita is another dish which I would think is vegetarian. Surprised there's no vegetarian symbol next to that dish either. I saw Ek Mek on the dessert menu. I never knew about this dessert for a long time but finally got introduced to it years ago at a Greek restaurant in New Westminster and was totally hooked on it. Would love to come back to Mythos and try their Ek Mek sometime! Service: Good Parking: Free parking on the street

They seem to serve mostly Greek food here but they do also have some pizza and pasta so I guess I'd call it a Greek/Italian restaurant. Interesting that the reviews upon first glance seem to be a mix of either really high (5 stars), or really low (1 star). I'll be different and go with a middle ground rating. Mom and I shared a Calamari appetizer. For our main dishes she ordered and Baked Spaghetti and I ordered a Baked Lasagna with Vegetarian sauce. The Calamari was wonderful. Large, generous pieces of Calamari that were nicely breaded and quite tender. The Tzatziki sauce was a bit thicker than I'd have liked it. A bit thinner would have been nice. Other than that though, I very much enjoyed the Calamari. Both our pastas came with garlic bread. Huge pices of garlic bread. The bread was nice and soft. Couldn't finish the bread or pasta. It was all very filling. But the food very good. We both enjoyed our pasta dishes immensely and had lots to bring home, along with leftover garlic bread as well. Service could have been a bit better. There was a server who came to the table behind us a couple of times, and despite the fact that I lifted my arm and called out to her both times, she failed to notice me, then spun around and walked away from both tables twice. Third time she went to their table I finally managed to get her attention so that we could get some takeout containers and our bill. My mom liked the restaurant a lot and I am always very happy to discover any place that makes my mom happy. Although the service could have been better, it's not enough to deter us from coming back. The food was very good, and the ambiance was quite nice as well. We will definitely be back here sometime, and maybe next time the service will be better.

Definitely try to go at opening or when it is not busy, as the dine-in experience is memorable - they place your order in a long wooden board to make it a beautiful spread. We got the Manoush'eh Special which has ground beef, pomegranate, etc and Sham Style which is shaped like a boat. We also tried the yogurt drink which pairs well with the dishes. The only con is that this place does not have free water, but it is no problem to have our own water bottles supplementing the meal. We also got the lentil soup which is pretty good. Definitely sufficient to share one to try, but the Manoush'eh outshines the rest of the items. I loved the quality and texture of the Manoush'eh and just the breads in general. It is a lot of food for 2 people so if you want a snack, you can definitely just share 1. Some people go here for the wraps too. Overall, an affordable restaurant with good food. We got the most expensive items and it was less than 50 CAD all-in, but a lot of the items are around the 10 CAD mark.

Seems like the Pan items take longer to prepare, so it took awhile for the order to come out. Worth the wait in my opinion though. I loved my Vegetarian Denver Omelet Pan. It was piping hot, and the Omelet was so fluffy! This dish was a definite winner for me. One of the best things I've ordered in all the times that I've come here. Next time we came I ordered Fries and Cheese, with a bowl of Levantine Lentil soup. Mom had the Shawarma Chicken Pan, and my daughter had the Pesto Avocado Egg Wrap. The first thing that came out was my Levantine Lentil soup. I wished that they had brought it out later though. I don't like eating before everyone else's food has arrived, and it was quite awhile before the rest of the food arrived. Probably due to the Shawarma Chicken Pan since as I said before, that the Pan items seem to take longer to prepare. I took a few spoonfuls of my soup every few minutes just so I could enjoy at least few spoonfuls of it while it was still somewhat hot, but I would have much preferred for the soup to have been brought later, together with all the rest of the food. I felt guilty taking those few spoonfuls, but then the longer I waited...the colder my soup got. Next time I will tell them to bring the soup out later, when all of the food is ready to bring to the table. My fries and cheese came out after the soup. This also came before the other orders were ready. When it came, the server said she would bring some forks for us to eat the fries, and also some sour cream to go with the fries. Holy smokes...she took ages to come back to us. How long does a person need to go grab a few forks and a small container of sour cream?! I think the Shawarma Chicken Pan didn't look quite as impressive as the Omelet Pan I'd had earlier in the week. It was just chicken in the Pan. My Vegetarian Denver Omelet had been a lot more colourful than the Chicken. The dish did come with fries and they also gave my mom some bread as well. None of it very colourful though. I think if my mom wants chicken at this place, then we'll stick to ordering wraps for her. They seem to do very nice wraps at this place. My daughter had enjoyed the Pesto Avocado Egg Wrap before so this was her second time ordering it. For Pan dishes, I'd recommend the Halloumi Pan that I had on a previous visit and the Vegetarian Denver Omelet Pan.

There were samples of some kind of wrap at the front door of the restaurant. They were generous portions for samples but we didn't really like it. The inside of the restaurant was clean. With one person working at the cashier and another one only in the kitchen, the wait time was somewhat long. I get that the wrap/bread is baked fresh. Nonetheless, should they not have one more person working in the kitchen considering it's a Saturday? The chicken tawouk pan looked quite sad when i opened it up. Sad looking pieces of chicken breast with a tiny bit of mushroom slices. It came with some kind of cukes, garlic sauce and hummus. The menu stipulated juicy chicken breasts but the chicken was very dry and bland. Good thing my dish came with sauce otherwise it would have been difficult to have it passed down my throat. The kafta supreme was nicely presented. The menu definitely looked extremely tempting so my husband and brother both ordered it. Despite the nice presentation, both of them said it was extremely bland. My husband added sauce from my chicken to his wrap but my brother ate it as is. Yes the bread was freshly made and that was probably the best out of this wrap. Tim Hortons flatbread tasted better than this at a fraction of the price.
