Absolutely beautiful environment. The food was out of this world. The service was a bit slow. We arrived a few minutes before a large group, however, their food arrived before ours but other than that it was a great experience.

Pricey but delicious food. I would recommend going during non-rush hour times so you can get better service and better quality food. We went on a Monday at 1pm and the service and food was great.

Visiting Vancouver, Canada I thought I would try this Persian food place located conveniently in a mall in the North Vancouver area. There's always a certain level of ease with restaurants and coffee shops located in malls and with this one the entrance was quite inviting. The front staff were welcoming and friendly and as we sat down we were greeted by our server. So, the service was decent. Unfortunately, that's where that ends. I'm quite familiar with Persian food as I've eaten it all my life.....in restaurants and homemade. I ordered the "loghmeh". The portion was great, the fresh onions, chilli and tomato were a nice touch and the ground beef was quite juicy, however, it had absolutely no seasoning whatsoever. No salt, no pepper and none of the other delicious seasoning that makeup the famous Persian kabob with its spectrum of flavours. So, it had no taste. As juicy as it was, it had no taste. Getting to the rice. The staple of Persian food is its rice. It is a specific type of rice cooked in a very specific way very characteristic of the culture. The taste, the consistency and the flavour is the same everywhere with a properly cooked high quality rice making up Persian rice. It is vital to get this item on the menu right simply because it's served with almost everything. The rice at this restaurant was not Persian rice. It was mushy, not cooked properly and I'm almost certain they used some type of short grain sticky rice instead of Basmati rice, which is the best kind to make Persian rice. It is long grain and when cooked properly it stretches and falls like feather. Also, like the kabob, it had no seasoning at all. A real shame. The naan bread that was served was undercooked and very doughy and it was a real pity because they have a wood oven in the restaurant and if only they would've given it the time it needed it would've made all the difference. Overall, it seems that this place has potential but I think there needs to be substantial training in the kitchen and possibly even a touch of extra care. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment and with all the Persian food competition in Vancouver, I will not be back I'm afraid.

I had heard so much about Khaghan and i was excited to try it. I was visiting from out of the country. My friend and I came in for lunch. I ordered the barg kabob and my friend ordered the koobideh. When the food arrived at table, there was a small portion of rice with the barg. I started to eat the barg. It was so dry and I literally felt I had to chew each piece 60 to 70 times to the point my teeth started to hurt. It was the hardest beef i had ever tasted. There are so many Persian restaurants in the area. I will not be coming back here on my next visit to Canada. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the the staff were very nice but the food was not good at all.

In any Persian restaurant in the vicinity of Vancouver the lowest price for this dish is $28.00 going all the way to $34.00. The adorable fact about Farsi Food is they offer that dish for $23.99...and here's the real kick....The quality is just as good! So, let's do some basic math here.....at this place you pay less for the same level of quality. They're just not...all high up on my horse about it. If I wanted to pay nearly 35 bucks for a meal, I'd go to a steakhouse and order a filet mignon......get my drift? Loved the Vaziri. The chicken had a beautiful lemon-marinated aftertaste and tender on the inside. The Beef was also pre-marinated and grilled just right. The rice was actually impressive. Persian rice is cooked a certain way. The grains were fully extended and al-dente, which only means they were cooked right and steamed right....oh and it was seasoned. You'd be surprised how many Persian restaurants serve their rice unsalted, which is surprising considering that Persians salt everything generously. The tomato was fresh and had a super tasty bbq'd taste grilled to perfection finishing with a sweet bow. I also loved how the side onion for our to-go order was cut fresh. I mean super fresh. Yes, little bites of raw onion with Persian dishes is very tasty....it just goes....you should try it. Friendly Service. Clean Space. Fair Prices. Why would I go anywhere else? I wont.

The place is probably more like a grocerty store with a hot food stand attached. Took a quick look and it's definitely for the Middle Eastern market. Staff are friendly. I tried their kebab meal. Pretty tasty. Kebabs were nice and juicy. Served with pita, grilled tomato, hummus, rice, and 2 types of salad (onion and mixed). Portion size was somewhat decent. Definitely hit the spot. There is also a dessert place (La De Dessert) that is run out of the same space. The guy (owner?) gave my buddy and I a chocolate waffle sample. Pretty tasty too, though it was a bit pricey. Overall I'd come back, though there are a few other similar places in the direct vicinity. Recommended.

Absolutely dynamite!!! Crispy, cheesy, and addictive. My dish: Alinazik Kebab - Grilled lamb over sauced grilled eggplant and yogurt, served with salad and bread. The lamb was insanely flavourful and delicious. I wasn't a fan of the mashed eggplant though (which surprised me because I usually love eggplant). It was okay, just not my thing this time. My husband's dish: Ground Beef Pide - Savoury flatbread topped with seasoned ground beef, fresh herbs, and sesame seeds. This was excellent -- super tasty and satisfying. My son's drink: Ayran - A traditional salty yogurt drink with mint. Not a hit with him Too salty and sour for his taste, but we appreciated the experience of trying something new. The servers kindly brought him a Coke instead and didn't charge us, which was really nice. My son's dinner: Adana Kebab (spicy) - Skewered spicy ground beef with rice, bulgur, salad, and bread. Fantastic!!! The beef was fresh and flavourful, and the rice and bulgur were soooo good. Service & atmosphere: It was pretty packed for Valentine's Day, so service was a bit hit and miss and slower than usual -- but totally understandable. The atmosphere made up for it, especially with the live Turkish music. It genuinely felt like being on vacation for the night, and I loved that feeling. Overall: Definitely worth the wait. We ordered a kebab meat platter and it definitely delivers on portion size. The standout for me was the grilled meats, especially the lamb chops and chicken kebabs. We started with the Humous (yellow split pea), Sabzi Mast (spinach & yogurt dip), pita bread and a salad with cucumbers, red onions, tomatoes and feta cheese. The platter was filled with a delicious rice, baked eggplant, potatoes and 3 meats (chicken kebab, Lamb Shish Kebab, Lamb Shoulder Chop). We couldn't finish as there was so much food, so took some home. We finished with Pistachio Ice Cream (pistachio, saffron & rosewater) and it was rich and delicate and a perfect ending.
