It's a comfortable, informal space. It's also immersive--the familiar incense, heat, and black interior help me focus and put the outside world aside for an hour. Different instructors have their own styles and music but class structure is similar enough to practice across all of them. I love how many classes there are, all day every day, from 6 am to 9 pm or later--even holidays!! And multiple locations. I practice at Dallas Lovers but have gone to classes at the other Dallas studios and in Houston and Round Rock. All are equally comfortable and welcoming. I also appreciate the difficulty level. There's no pressure to do things you can't or don't want to, but there are lots of opportunities to advance. I'd classify myself as intermediate but I like the chance to practice headstands, arm balances, creative binds, etc. even when I'm not very good at them. You never know what you can do until you try!

Thankfully, ClassPass has made this so much easier to switch it UP! As a part time fitness instructor with a very strong routine, I constantly find myself craving variety. This place has been on my hit list for a while and I was so happy to be able to finally go last night! And boy, am I glad I did. I tried the hot vinyasa class with Lesa and it was 60 minutes of hot and sweaty bliss. The room was packed and the VYBE was jumping! I was warmly greeted and even though I arrived a few minutes before class Lesa greeted me happily and showed me the ropes. They have towels and water/beverages for purchase. BYO yoga mat but they have those as well. The salt lamps in the studio were a beautiful touch and so were the essential oils. I parked my mat pretty close to the diffuser so I was LOVING the aromatherapy while I got my yoga on. Lesa's class was a booty kicker but she also broke it down and provided modifiers for those of us who aren't so limber but aspire to be (raises hand). Blame my tight endurance athlete hamstrings. At the end of the 60 minutes they provide you with essential oil infused cold towels. The Lakeside area is the perfect location, surrounded by luxury living as well as an abundance of retail shops. The community seems very tight knit here as well. Thankful I was able to come here and cannot wait to use my ClassPass to return for another hot class soon and very soon!!

They also have what I believe are called stall bars along one of the walls for acroyoga training. I love the mural on the wall outside, gotta get a picture with it!

I've taken the Vinyasa class led by Deandre and the Acroyoga class. Both classes are beginner friendly and also tailored for advanced students. Each time I've come here I've felt so welcomed and left feeling amazing from class and the community environment they have created. Everyone is so welcoming- instructors AND the students. I have to admit, I'm really picky about which studios I go too (my faves are Twist and Karmany), but I have easily added The Yoga Movement to that list. If you've never been to this studio, they offer a great deal for new students; $50 for 10 classes!

The studio was located on the 2nd floor of a historic-looking building, and it had its own private lot, which was a bonus. The practice space was spacious and stunning. I loved how the room was lined with windows that brought in natural light. The class I signed up for was at 6:45pm, so it was just in time for the sunset. Deka was our instructor for the flow. He was so welcoming and kindly got me acquainted to the space. He has such a calming voice that it nearly put me to sleep during savasana. I look forward to stopping by V12 Yoga again next time I'm in Dallas.

For a Friday night, the class was packed. The instructor did a good job, was clear with direction though I'll admit to lagging and having to eye-hustle some of my neighbors since I haven't taken a class in over a decade so I was unsure/ couldn't remember many positions. This definitely didn't feel like a beginner class. Between the dim nights, the instructors mellifluous voice, and the general vibes I have to admit I fell asleep. A very mellow, relaxing class which was perfect after a long week. I'll definitely come back to this class the next time I'm looking for a yoga class, it was a nice stretch and relax session.

I recently came to Blue Feather for an Aerial Yoga + Play class with a few friends. The studio is…read morelocated in the Design District inside Soar Creative Studios, and you can easily book directly on their website. Aerial yoga has been everywhere lately, so I was glad to finally experience it here. The class size was small (~12 spots), which I think is perfect--any larger, and it would've been hard to see the instructor or fully engage in the movements. About 75% of the class was guided yoga using the aerial fabric almost like a sling for support (lots of Warrior II, chair pose, backbends, etc.), with the last 15-20 minutes reserved for "tricks." The time split was a little surprising, but I understand the need to warm up before advancing into more complex movements. Our instructor, Deidra, was confident and knowledgeable, offering options for both new and advanced students where it made sense. That said, I had mixed feelings about the structure. The class was advertised as beginner-friendly, but was filled with her students from moderate / advanced classes, seemingly working toward credit/practice hours. This meant Deidra often modeled progressions for them, focusing her attention at the front of the class rather than circulating to guide newer students in real time. Thankfully, a few more experienced participants helped by modeling positions, which was a big plus. My only other nick was the playlist--which bounced between Mumford & Sons to Gracie Abrams, with the occasional mainstream tracks, which just wasn't my vibe. Overall though, I loved the class and really appreciated Deidra's skill and passion. While not exactly "beginner," it was a fun and challenging introduction to aerial yoga, and I'd definitely return.

I can not remember where I first saw this place online, but I am glad I did. I have seen aerial…read moreworkout places before, but never one in Dallas. Their website is very user friendly. It will show you all the different types of classes, as well as prices, and you can book the classes online. I booked the "beginner" class last week - the aerial technique. I arrived about 10 minutes early and was shown where to grab and a yoga mat and was able to pick the "hammock" (I do not know the technical name for the ropes) I wanted to work with during class. The instructor was really nice and she walked us through each exercise. It was a lot of stretching - not really much off the mat, which was fine; I wasn't intending to be up in the air on my first time. Near the end we did get to flip upside down and hang for a little bit. I didn't find that comfortable so I didn't stay upside down for long. A lot of the other class memebers seemed to enjoy it, so maybe with time and practice I will like it one day as well. At the very end of class we got to get up in the hammock and lay down in it. The instructor turned off the lights so we just had the music to listen to and relax. It felt like we were hanging there a good ten minutes. Very relaxing. The studio is off Seventh Street in the Oak Cliff area. There is construction across the street, but I was able to find parking on Davis in a parking garage. When you walk into the studio there is a shop in the front with all kinds of trinkets, stones, incense, clothes. Cute stuff! I bought the package for 3 classes for $45 so my next class will be the aerial yoga. I'm very much looking forward to it!
