I ordered an iced Milk & Honey Latte with oat milk. I was also surprised to see an assortment of wraps and sandwiches by the counter. So I picked up a Chicken Salad sandwich. I loved my sandwich, it was so delicious. One thing about me, I love a good chicken salad sandwich and I was satisfied. My latte was tasty too. The oat milk was creamy, it complemented the espresso well. It was a little sweeter than I would like, and it got better for me after getting watered down a bit. But that's just my preference. I'm sure that if I were to order another drink again, I could just ask for less sweetener. There's many places to sit: there's an upstairs area, a separate room with so many seating options, high tables and chairs, etc. It felt like there were more people who were studying and working rather than chatting. So we were trying to be mindful and not talk super loud. Also they have a free parking lot right outside which was great. So there's a school right across the street from the cafe. At the time my friend and I left the cafe, there were a bunch of students walking after their school day ended I presume. But when I was trying to leave, there were parents who would park in the parking lot (not in a parking space) and block a couple cars while waiting for their kids to get out. So it took me a good 10-15 minutes for me to leave my space and get out of the parking lot because of the car parked right in front of me. That's just one thing to keep in mind if you visit. I really enjoyed this place, I'd definitely visit again. It's a 4.5/5 for me. Next time I'd definitely come early and leave early so leaving the parking lot won't be as difficult or time consuming.

My friends and I were always lucky to snag a table for us those times. But coming in the morning is really pleasant. I've only gotten coffee here in the past, so this time we got food. We were planning on sharing that crepe with another friend, but that crepe was so good we demolished it haha. We ended up ordering the Spinach Pesto crepe to share for later instead. But wow, I have nothing but praise for these crepes because they blew me away. The Berries and Cream crepe was just amazing. Fruits tasted fresh and juicy. The crepe itself was perfectly sweet. And the whipped cream cheese filling inside was light and creamy. I couldn't ask for more in a fruit crepe. Also the light drizzle of sweetened condensed milk on top? Chef's kiss. And then we tried the Spinach and Pesto crepe. It had all my favorite things inside, so of course I loved it. I loved the savory pesto spread inside the crepe, the spinach, ricotta, and parmesan cheese sprinkled on top. The tomatoes added a nice acidity to balance and the balsalmic glaze tied it all together on top. It felt like applause roared in my mouth. Also I can't forget the Pistachio Croffin I ate too. It had great texture, and had that subtle nutty flavor from the pistachio. I really liked it. Anyways, I'm a big Morning Brew fan. The owner asked if I wanted it with vanilla which I didn't know I could add on, and he also said that alot of people order it too. I just decided to get the original. And I really liked my drink, it was perfectly sweet and had that earthy matcha flavor. It was prepared well. The owner said that he didn't have any punch cards available, but my friends and I got the cutest promo card when we come back. The decor and art on the walls created such a cute vibe. They had a manga shelf for people to read and also board games. This is an adorable and creative coffee shop. Our interactions with the owner were very sweet and considerate. I'd come back again.

Grindhead is a funny little spot, directly behind a Dutch Brothers Coffee with a Caribbean/Pirate theme. So I walk in, and I hear from behind the coffee bar, Ahoy Matey to the sound of the Caribbean music playing in the background. The barista was friendly and helpful as we chatted a bit about the shop. I started with one of their seasonal offerings, an Eggnog Latte they called the Clipper. It was nice, but too sweet on the finish for me. That was on me for going that direction as I know the associated risk. Salt is a featured ingredient in a couple of their coffees, and as the barista had shared with me a recipe she makes at home that includes both salt and vanilla, I asked her to please whip up a latte to her home recipe.......now this was a real treat as the coffee, salt and vanilla worked in real harmony for a delightful drink. This shop is not really convenient for me as I have several good coffee house options in my own neighborhood, but I will be back, if nothing else I need to spend my dabloons.

This is a drink I normally get when I go to other coffee places. I love creamy oat milks and lattes, but this drink wasn't creamy enough for me. Also I felt like the lavender syrup was a little too sweet and potent. It overpowered the drink at times, it was just a little too sweet for me. I took a sip of my friend's Crows Nest and I was delighted upon first sip. It was delicious, not too sweet, and good. Maybe if I tried one of their chais or ordered that one, I would've had a better experience. There were so many good things about this place. I thought the coffee shop was cute with the pirate theme and decor. All the employees that we interacted with were wonderful. It's just my drink and the qualms I have with it. ACRYLIC FINGERNAIL FOUND IN MY SANDWICH…read more Last week I ordered a banh mi sandwich from this restaurant. About halfway through eating it, I bit into something that felt strangely plasticky. To my disgust, I discovered that it was an acrylic fingernail. I immediately contacted the restaurant by email to let them know what had happened. I didn't finish the sandwich, and I was hoping for nothing more than an apology and a refund. Unfortunately, I received no response. I followed up again earlier this week and, once again, received nothing. I understand that mistakes can happen in any restaurant, and I realize that there may be things we unknowingly consume when eating out. What I find particularly unacceptable, however, when a customer reports something as serious as finding a foreign object in their food and receive absolutely no response Is unacceptable. The food may have been fine, but finding an acrylic fingernail in a sandwich is a serious food-safety issue. The complete lack of acknowledgment from the restaurant makes the experience considerably worse.
