All that taro goodness on the top and condensed milk drizzled all over. I had few bites and it was impressive. Waited 30 minutes just to be disappointed. The hot drink was completely overpowered by grapefruit, so much so that it drowned out every other flavor that was supposed to be there. It ended up tasting unbalanced and honestly hard to enjoy. The mango dessert didn't help the experience either. The presentation was messy and unappealing, and the flavors didn't come together in a way that made sense. It felt thrown together rather than thoughtfully prepared. To make things worse, the utensils were dirty and had noticeable watermarks. My lady had to wipe them down herself before we could even use them, which is something you shouldn't have to deal with anywhere. I really wanted to like this place, but it just didn't live up to the hype. The presentation was honestly messy. It looked overloaded, with way too much mango piled on top, and it immediately started sliding and dripping everywhere. It was hard to even enjoy because it turned into a sticky mess within minutes. It's quite busy...so you will need the table angels on your side to get a table before your order is ready. One of the more sophisticated flavors. Green tea flavor on point, topped with red bean, mochi, and sliced almonds. --MANGO (5/5) This is probably the most highly sought-after, as it was sold out on the second visit. The mango chunks are so sweet and ripe. --TARO (5/5) Give me purple! I love anything taro/ube by default. A lot of textures in this one, from the red bean and mochi and coconut chips. --FRESH STRAWBERRY (3/5) Probably my least favorite so far. The strawberry flavor within the shaved ice just too sweet and artificial. Seating has been packed and busy. There is a separate queue to wait in as tables open up. Their Korean shaved ice, called Bingsu, is made with milk ice instead of regular ice, so it's incredibly soft, creamy, and milky. It literally melts in your mouth. I've tried the taro, chocolate, and strawberry flavors so far. My absolute favorite is the mango, but unfortunately it's out of season right now. It also comes with a side of condense milk for your pleasure as this will only enhance the flavor. The restaurant has a counter up front to order with a display case for you to drool over and decided what you want to get. After you order they give you a pager and will buzz you when your order is ready. Its not a long wait it just depends if they are busy or not, i would recommend getting a table first then have someone else go place the order for your table. This place is louder than most as the tables are close together and it's always busy. It's a light dessert that's not overwhelmingly sweet. It was $4.50 for 2 pieces, and $9.20 for 5 pieces, so it was very reasonably priced. They had lots of flavors for filling options. And, you can mix-and-match too, so you can try different flavors with one order. (They even label the flavors for you on the box, so you can tell which one is which!) They were freshly made, warm, and crispy on the outside with a soft delicious filling on the inside. Loved them!
