$18 for four tiny samosas. And then they support local businesses. Not if they decide to arbitrarily price items. Not coming back again

Chicken momos were delicious! Flavorful and juicy and came with two sauces for a fun variety of flavors in every bite. The gobi manchurian had strong flavors so I'd recommended eating not that much or with rice, but it was still great, a bit crispy, and a good level of spice for me. Just sad that I requested utensils but wasn't given any, especially since the gobi manchurian is really saucy. Ended up getting creative and ripping off some foil and using it to pick up the food...

Super super delicious! Everything is so fresh and delicate. The chow mein has so much flavor and is not greasy and all the ingredients are so well done. The curry is so complex and delicious and not too heavy or greasy. Very very delicious! The place is very clean and airy and nice to sit in as well.

We ordered a few dishes, starting with the raw oysters with fermented chili sauce and curry leaf ponzu sauce. The shellfish was extremely fresh, and the condiments were refreshing and complemented it perfectly. I particularly loved the ponzu sauce, it was so zesty! We also ordered the jackfruit sliders, and they honestly gave major Mumbai Vada Pav vibes. They were spicy and extremely flavorful; I almost forgot it was jackfruit! The ananas (Pineapple) pani puri was a refreshing flavor bomb! For mains, we got the black truffle cheese naan with cultured butter. I loved the butter; the naan was filled with cheese, and the truffles weren't prominently earthy; hence, they added a touch of umami. We also got the Kali Miri paneer with garlic naan, along with the lamb and squash with quinoa pulao. The paneer and naan were probably the most classic-tasting dish on the table and were deliciously prepared. The lamb and squash were equally good, but the quinoa pulao was the real star, a little spicy and super minty. We also got the dosa, which was good, but it got a bit overshadowed by the other fantastic dishes. The little diner with us got the French toast with jaggery syrup and passion fruit ricotta ice cream, which he totally devoured. While I did not taste the French toast, I did sample the ricotta ice cream, and it was light, fruity, sweet, and slightly tart, but delicious nonetheless. The presentation wasn't performative or chaotic; it was stunning and minimalist. Also, shoutout to Chef Srijith Gopinathan for his distinct take on modern contemporary Indian Cuisine. Service was surprisingly fast even though the restaurant was packed. Dining at Ettan made our family weekend lunch truly memorable.

The menu seems to have changed quite a bit from 2 years ago as I could not find most of the items old reviews on Yelp were referring to lol. So I had to mostly go with my gut feeling: the fried chicken (which is one of this place's signatures), the lamb shank and brisket (shocking to find beef in an Indian restaurant). By the way the manager dropped by and took our order: very patient, very kind, and knowledgeable (you bet) about the menu. The brisket was ordered per manager's recommendation. The starch that comes with the main dishes can be swapped out to your liking. Lamb shank: 5/5. Perfectly cooked, interestingly flavored. I particularly enjoyed the sauce. Finished it all. Fried chicken: 4.5/5. Tasty, flavorful, pairs well with the yogurt sauce that comes with it. Portion is on the small side so beware if you are sharing with over 4 people. Brisket: 2.5/5. The flavor is on point. The sauce that comes with it is good too. But the meat is a bit too dry or stringy for my taste. Perhaps I was too hyped and it did not live up to my expectations. Portion is pretty decent though. Overall I really enjoyed the environment and service here. Seems like a perfect place for business gatherings or special events. At this price point my bar for 5 star would be higher and unfortunately this place did not meet that bar this time. By the way, the waiter kindly offered to provide kid's menu options that are non-spicy as most of the items on the regular menu are spicy to some extent. We liked it hot but the little ones not so much.

We tried a bunch of their appetizers, and all of them were below average. The only saving grace in the mains was daal and Shaam savera. Disappointing to have such a brand name be associated with bad tasteless food. Service: the waiter was rude. His words: "with so many naan orders, I couldn't even remember what u ordered". Keep in mind we were only 6 of us, and that is part of his job to remember/note the order correctly. Other interactions were delayed, rude or clueless. No water after asking thrice. I wish fancy Indian restaurants put more effort into training their servers. Also, it is shameful to have dirty restrooms at such fancy places. Nothing was worth the money. We realize this place is expensive going in, would have been happy if the food/service was good. Clearly, we had a disappointing meal and night. Two words: stay away.

It is tucked along El Camino Real in Menlo Park near the border with Palo Alto. It has a nice dark ambiance and it was a full house when we went, which is a good sign given the high price. The interior was quite intimate. We ordered so much food, that I forgot the names of everything we ordered. All of the food was really good and had a strong flavor thanks to the curry sauces that accompanied them. Even without the curry, it had a very strong "wood-fired" taste. The food was presented pretty decently and came out promptly. All of the food are served family style. Desserts were excellent, and I had the frozen shrikhand, which was recommended by our server. The service of the other wait staff were decent. Though I did not drink that night, they also offered wine pairings for both main courses and desserts. They have a pretty extensive drink menu of wines, beers, and cocktails. I think it is worth the Michelin Guide and has a lot of potential.

Eylan is a Michelin Bib Gourmand and is related to Copra and Ettan. Parking was easy underneath the restaurant and was plentiful. The vibes of the restaurant was high end. Opted for the main dining room. It seemed like they also featured bar and perhaps outdoors seating too. Service throughout the meal was delightful. Started off with the green grape chaas along with the heirloom salad. Both were a light and refreshing way to start off the meal. The Eylan eye bread course was very fragrant with the black truffle. The bread was lighter and fluffier on previous visits. The Chicken Seekh Kebab was surprisingly tasty and fragrant. Portions were generous for a "small plate." The domestic wagyu ribeye was decent, although it came out more of a medium well. The lamb chops may have been the highlight of the meal. This also came out towards medium well. Evvia lamb chops are definitely much better. The black cod entree came out towards the drier side, which was a bummer. Ended off the meal with the Eylan celebration treat, a dark chocolate mousse dessert which was a tasty way to finish off the meal. ~$220/head after tax, gratuity, and 3% wellness surcharge for dinner.

I don't typically like samosas because in my mind they should be crisp and not heavy, and they always end up being doughy and hard. These are lighter and crispier than normal and super enjoyable. The dahi puri chaat was so good. I love that everything was packed in separate small containers so that everything stayed crisp - I was most worried that this would be soggy when it arrived. My mom was craving biryani, and this did not disappoint. The rice was tender without being soggy, everything was very flavorful and not too spicy. Someone else noted that the butter chicken was the best they'd ever had and I concur. It's sweet, savory and there's tons of kasuri methi in it to give it the most perfect flavor. They were also very generous with the chicken, so I didn't find myself fishing around in a container full of sauce looking for small pieces of meat. My only complaint about this was that the containers were quite small for the price. Garlic naan was my mom's least favorite thing, but I thought it was great. She prefers her naan to be very fluffy, and I prefer mine to be thinner and more on the crisp/chewy side, which this is. Not a ton of garlic flavor, but enough to add a little something to the butter chicken. I would probably go with plain naan next time though. This meal was so good that my husband and I fought over the leftovers. I was trying to hoard them so that I could bring them to work for lunch and he was trying to eat them the next day. The pakora was too fried, causing the chicken inside to be very overdone. The naan texture was already stale-ing (a little too tough to be truly fresh), and the "entree" - I understand it's part of a lunch special so it's not going to be full size but still- had maybe 4 small chunks of chicken. Can't comment on the ambience because we got takeout but the service was good- very nice to interact with staff on the phone and then at pickup. Will not be returning, however, due to low quality of food even at lunch special prices. EDIT- the business owner replied and now claims my companion returned and "enjoyed their meal," which is not just untrue but unhinged behavior! Avoid this place at all costs.
