Ordered chicken burger and chicken biryani today for lunch. Burger was delicious with crispy chicken patty and chips. Chicken Biryani was flavorful and quantity was good. My boyfriend loved too..!!!

Super nice guys who were very friendly and had big smiles. They also happen to serve up some great food. The chicken wrap was very flavorful and delicious.

Looking around at the various other food options, my sister-in-law decided and settled on Little Blue Door. So we got to share what she ordered. Cashew Roasted Cauliflower "Steak": Nuts, coconut rice, crisp poha, mint & coconut curry sauce (4/5). The cauliflower was nicely roasted and tender. The flavoring (to me) tasted like a nutty mustard. My wife disagreed. LOL. We all enjoyed the fluffiness of the coconut rice. The mint & coconut curry sauce was so good, especially on the rice. Mmmm...delish! CON: pricey for what you got.

The Little Blue Door is located in the State Street Market. I was there on Wednesday for lunch right when they opened. I ordered the butter chicken. The flavor of the sauce was too tomato-y for my taste and the chicken wasn't warm even though it was the second order of the day. The pro of this meal was hands down the naan. It was so buttery and I could eat that by itself. The service was just okay, not very friendly. I'd only come back for the naan.

Crisp sesame leaf chaat human generated

I tried the Sesame Leaf Chaat at Little Blue Door and it was really good. Super crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Definitely worth trying!

This a chicken Keema wrap served with potato chips and spicy sauce

Lamb kebab was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Texture and quality of kebab is too good. They served it with mild sauce and naan. Service was fast and reliable.

we enjoyed the Chicken Burger and Chicken Biriyani a lot. The food was really good here!

SHRIMP MALABAR ROAST ( gluten free / nut free / egg free )

We walked in here on a Saturday evening and the cooks treated us warmly. This is a self serve type of setting where you need to grab cutlery and water from the food court common area. We ordered multiple items for two families. Everything was really delicious. This place is the sister restaurant of Ettan in Palo Alto so if you are looking for a casual grab and eat at common table setting, this would be your go to!

LAMB SEEKH KEBAB. ( gluten free, egg free , nut free )

Good food, but the shrinkflation is a little excessive. On the menu you see two full sticks of lamb. What you get is two half sticks.

We came by on a Sunday afternoon and there was no wait to order. Staff was friendly at the front counter and worked efficiently, they had my order packaged and ready to go in what felt like 5 minutes. I was impressed. But what wowed me even more was the tastes of the food. The butter chicken with plain naan had so much flavor, a nice spiciness (borderline too spicy for me, but so good), and a decent amount of delicious tender chicken inside, though the chicken pieces were quite large, I had to cut them up with a knife to make it easier to eat. The egg puff was filled with a hard boiled egg and Indian spices, wrapped inside a flaky buttery crust, it was yummy too. Seating was easy to find inside State Street Market, and parking was free and convenient, just around the corner on the other side of the building. Had a satisfying meal and a good experience overall.

I'm so glad we chose this restaurant because the food was actually so good. And the reason I can say this with confidence is because I had my mom, aunt, and uncle, who are not easy to please that were actually praising the food and the flavors. Trust me that is not an easy compliment to get especially from Indian people who swear that the best food is homemade food. The restaurant has a very nice ambience and would make a great place for a family/friend dinner and even a fine dining dinner date.

Must get: The Potato Chaat, the Cauliflower, the "Mushies" and the Mango Lassi. The Potato Chaat and the cauliflower are the perfect appetizers. Really light but packed with so much flavor. The cauliflower dish here is the best cauliflower dish I've had at any restaurant. It's phenomenal. The "Mushies" is a Mushroom and peas pot pie. Its a really really rich and flavorful curry in a puff pastry and it goes perfectly together. They had an equivalent dish that was a chicken pot pie, so I wish that brought that back, but this dish is still really really good. The Mango Lassi is the best mango lassi I've had in norcal. I quickly finished mine and had to order another. It's really so delicious. The butter chicken is ofcourse also packed with flavor! You can't go wrong with this. The Kholapuri Goat Curry would've been one of my favorites but it's really hard to eat the meat since it's bone in. The curry was great and we ate that up very quickly, but there was so much bone in our dish and it was really hard picking out the meat from the bone. Wish it was boneless! Or atleast if there was more meat compared to bone. The salmon was whatever, we didn't eat much of it. It was good but underwhelming compared to the other amazing dishes. We had a reservation for 4, but they had us wait for ~15min past our reservation time. But they were pretty packed and it was loud. Service was great beyond that and they were very accommodating to any of our requests.

Eylan is a Michelin Bib Gourmand and is related to Copra and Ettan. Parking was easy underneath the restaurant and was plentiful. The vibes of the restaurant was high end. Opted for the main dining room. It seemed like they also featured bar and perhaps outdoors seating too. Service throughout the meal was delightful. Started off with the green grape chaas along with the heirloom salad. Both were a light and refreshing way to start off the meal. The Eylan eye bread course was very fragrant with the black truffle. The bread was lighter and fluffier on previous visits. The Chicken Seekh Kebab was surprisingly tasty and fragrant. Portions were generous for a "small plate." The domestic wagyu ribeye was decent, although it came out more of a medium well. The lamb chops may have been the highlight of the meal. This also came out towards medium well. Evvia lamb chops are definitely much better. The black cod entree came out towards the drier side, which was a bummer. Ended off the meal with the Eylan celebration treat, a dark chocolate mousse dessert which was a tasty way to finish off the meal. ~$220/head after tax, gratuity, and 3% wellness surcharge for dinner.

However ... the korma curry sauce was outstanding! Very flavorful, creamy, satisfying. I had no problem taking forkfuls of just the curry and rice, without the chicken, and it was wonderful. I did eat the breast pieces that I could find with the curry and rice and it was a great bite -- but had it been all breast it would have been perfection and I would have given the place five stars. They catered our wedding of 260 guests, and Tarun and his team completely blew everyone away. We had a VERY hard-to-please crowd, including a lot of guests coming from India who work in hospitality and restaurants themselves, and people could not stop talking about the food. I searched high and low for a Bay Area Indian wedding caterer and honestly found a lot of the options disappointing. Amber was completely different. The food was incredibly flavorful, beautifully cooked, and actually presented well too, which can be hard to pull off at this scale. They are also a full service caterer, which makes managing the event much easier. We used Amber for all of our wedding events, and Tarun made sure every menu felt different and interesting rather than just repeating the standard butter chicken-type dishes. We had paneer tacos, Indo-Chinese served in Chinese takeout boxes, which was SUCH a cute touch, pani puri shooters that made them super easy to eat, and an incredible rasmalai tres leches for dessert, among many other items. The value is also amazing. For some of our pre-wedding events, we did their roughly $40/person package with four items plus dessert. I was worried it might not be enough food, but it was more than plentiful. Tarun himself is an absolute gem. He is kind, accommodating, creative, and goes above and beyond to make the event feel special. You can tell he genuinely cares. We did not want a standard buffet as we wanted the event to feel more elevated, and he did a great job of accomodating our request for family style, as well as serving apps + mains at two different venues in the South Bay ~20-30 min from each other. Our guests are still talking about the food. Amber India truly helped make our wedding weekend, and I would recommend them without hesitation. Easily one of the best decisions we made.

Tonight I was craving a home style chicken and rice dish similar to what my mom makes . Now I know it's not possible to get that from a restaurant, but the closest to that is the Donne biryani preparation that a few places offer in the Bay Area. So I looked up Yelp and found this spot. The fact that it already had 4.9 stars was reassuring but I didn't put too many expectations on it. But what I did was call the place and make sure they'd be open by the time I made that 28 mile drive. I spoke to a person named Sagar who took my order and told me to take my time getting there and drive carefully! Husband and I got there around 9:30pm and it's a cloud kitchen setup with kitchens in the back and a point of sale kiosk and counter at the front. As instructed I called Sagar and he came up to the counter with my food, and also let me know he had added a free dessert since I drove all the way from Hayward . Husband and I got home and immediately dug in and what can I say, the flavors totally took me back to my mom's kitchen. The Donne biryani was bursting with taste, and what made it superb was that the flavors were in balance, with neither the spices nor the aromatics being overpowering in any way. The other dish, the pepper chicken was epic by itself, and should have been enjoyed with a bread of some sort, because the biryani didn't need any accompaniment. As if this meal wasn't divine enough the cherry on top was the pineapple kesari dessert that Sagar kindly added to our takeout bag. Thanks Nalapaka, for a taste of home, away from home !
