Found this place within the bustling state street market in Los Altos downtown. Orderd Rotisserie Cauliflower, chicken Briyani, And Andhra style chicken curry. Cashew roasted cauliflower steak was quite an innovative and delicious dish. Rest of the food was ok. Overall the place just standouts for Indian fusion food in Los Altos. It's family and dog friendly with good music as it located in a cafeteria making it ideal for casual meals or group bites

Crisp sesame leaf chaat human generated

I tried the Sesame Leaf Chaat at Little Blue Door and it was really good. Super crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced with sweet and tangy flavors. Definitely worth trying!

Super nice guys who were very friendly and had big smiles. They also happen to serve up some great food. The chicken wrap was very flavorful and delicious.

Looking around at the various other food options, my sister-in-law decided and settled on Little Blue Door. So we got to share what she ordered. Cashew Roasted Cauliflower "Steak": Nuts, coconut rice, crisp poha, mint & coconut curry sauce (4/5). The cauliflower was nicely roasted and tender. The flavoring (to me) tasted like a nutty mustard. My wife disagreed. LOL. We all enjoyed the fluffiness of the coconut rice. The mint & coconut curry sauce was so good, especially on the rice. Mmmm...delish! CON: pricey for what you got.

This a chicken Keema wrap served with potato chips and spicy sauce

Lamb kebab was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Texture and quality of kebab is too good. They served it with mild sauce and naan. Service was fast and reliable.

The Little Blue Door is located in the State Street Market. I was there on Wednesday for lunch right when they opened. I ordered the butter chicken. The flavor of the sauce was too tomato-y for my taste and the chicken wasn't warm even though it was the second order of the day. The pro of this meal was hands down the naan. It was so buttery and I could eat that by itself. The service was just okay, not very friendly. I'd only come back for the naan.

LAMB SEEKH KEBAB. ( gluten free, egg free , nut free )

Good food, but the shrinkflation is a little excessive. On the menu you see two full sticks of lamb. What you get is two half sticks.

We walked in here on a Saturday evening and the cooks treated us warmly. This is a self serve type of setting where you need to grab cutlery and water from the food court common area. We ordered multiple items for two families. Everything was really delicious. This place is the sister restaurant of Ettan in Palo Alto so if you are looking for a casual grab and eat at common table setting, this would be your go to!

Wow everything is so flavorful and delicious!…read more We got the butter chicken, "GOAT," "Mushies," "Mr. Potato," the cauliflower, the Dal Makhani, the Tandoori Salmon, and a Mango Lassi. Must get: The Potato Chaat, the Cauliflower, the "Mushies" and the Mango Lassi. The Potato Chaat and the cauliflower are the perfect appetizers. Really light but packed with so much flavor. The cauliflower dish here is the best cauliflower dish I've had at any restaurant. It's phenomenal. The "Mushies" is a Mushroom and peas pot pie. Its a really really rich and flavorful curry in a puff pastry and it goes perfectly together. They had an equivalent dish that was a chicken pot pie, so I wish that brought that back, but this dish is still really really good. The Mango Lassi is the best mango lassi I've had in norcal. I quickly finished mine and had to order another. It's really so delicious. The butter chicken is ofcourse also packed with flavor! You can't go wrong with this. The Kholapuri Goat Curry would've been one of my favorites but it's really hard to eat the meat since it's bone in. The curry was great and we ate that up very quickly, but there was so much bone in our dish and it was really hard picking out the meat from the bone. Wish it was boneless! Or atleast if there was more meat compared to bone. The salmon was whatever, we didn't eat much of it. It was good but underwhelming compared to the other amazing dishes. We had a reservation for 4, but they had us wait for ~15min past our reservation time. But they were pretty packed and it was loud. Service was great beyond that and they were very accommodating to any of our requests.

It was very delicious and flavourful. There was no overpowering spices flavours as most of the Indian restaurants do. It was a nice symphony. We sat outside as the weather was really pleasant and it was a great experience!

There was plenty of outdoor seating, and the service was speedy. You order on a kiosk, which makes for a streamlined ordering process. The food is always solid - I love all of their thali selections. This location was much more peaceful compared to the Palo Alto location. I stopped by on a Saturday evening, and there were only a couple tables that were occupied. I will say I feel like the portion sizes here are noticeably smaller than those at the Palo Alto location. This might be because all of the orders are packed to-go, so maybe there's less space for food? For instance, the thali from the Palo Alto location includes a side salad, which was not included in my order here. The other sides (pickled salad and daal lentil), along with the entree, were also significantly smaller here. The prices are the same, so I do think the Palo Alto dishes are more worth it.

Eylan is a Cal-Indian cuisine, taking a modern spin on traditional Indian dishes. While Indian food can be quite spicy, this place tones it down and helps keep it flavorful and spice-tolerable for people with a low spice tolerance like myself. We came on Memorial Day Monday at 5 pm, but the restaurant was packed by the time we were leaving about 1.5-2h later. The nature of Eylan's menu is family style, so we ordered a mix of vegetarian and meat dishes to share. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious from appetizer to dessert - you cannot go wrong! Most of the dishes have a bit of a char to them, adding to that flavor profile. While I enjoyed everything, my absolute favorite was the Chilled Green Grape Chaas appetizer. It was a fusion dish, combining elements of the Indian snack pani puri with the Indian yogurt drink chaas. Surprisingly, the dish was both refreshing and packed a punch of flavor. That alone would make me want to come back! The interior is very nice and modern, and the service was impeccable. They were attentive throughout the evening, and it made our first experience here quite memorable. All the dishes were at a reasonable price point, even though they were all high quality dishes. Parking is free in the underground parking structure next to Eylan. We are so excited to come back and try more of the menu!

We had some obnoxious people on the long table which horrendous loud laughing and no one bothered to tell them about restaurant etiquette. No intention of going back. Tonight I was craving a home style chicken and rice dish similar to what my mom makes . Now I know it's not possible to get that from a restaurant, but the closest to that is the Donne biryani preparation that a few places offer in the Bay Area. So I looked up Yelp and found this spot. The fact that it already had 4.9 stars was reassuring but I didn't put too many expectations on it. But what I did was call the place and make sure they'd be open by the time I made that 28 mile drive. I spoke to a person named Sagar who took my order and told me to take my time getting there and drive carefully! Husband and I got there around 9:30pm and it's a cloud kitchen setup with kitchens in the back and a point of sale kiosk and counter at the front. As instructed I called Sagar and he came up to the counter with my food, and also let me know he had added a free dessert since I drove all the way from Hayward . Husband and I got home and immediately dug in and what can I say, the flavors totally took me back to my mom's kitchen. The Donne biryani was bursting with taste, and what made it superb was that the flavors were in balance, with neither the spices nor the aromatics being overpowering in any way. The other dish, the pepper chicken was epic by itself, and should have been enjoyed with a bread of some sort, because the biryani didn't need any accompaniment. As if this meal wasn't divine enough the cherry on top was the pineapple kesari dessert that Sagar kindly added to our takeout bag. Thanks Nalapaka, for a taste of home, away from home !
