I have never shopped at this company, but received a threatening notice from them because someone hacked into one of my credit cards and apparently purchased a gift card through this company. I let them know once I saw this fraudulent charge on my card and provided them all the information to track down the criminals that did this. Walked into the store because the beau decided it was a destination HE wanted to explore. I've only been in one or two before and know the UO isn't my thing. I do like their center bins of unique things, trays and trinkets, makeup and deco, but that's really all I got into. I saw a dad sitting on a bench and asked him if I could share, and he scooted over with a chuckle. I guess seeing a woman sit down while her man shops is a bit different. Horrible place I've been shopping with UO for 6 years. Thanks to this shop, I have deleted app and I swear I'll not support business like this. I returned 5 items. They accepted all of them, but only refunded me 3 of them. Besides, they refunded me a underwear that I didn't return at all. The people who worked in that shop just randomly put return item in their system without even using their brain. Didn't let me confirm the amount before issuing the refund. I didn't find out what happened until I got him. Instantly Contacted UO. Chose to ignore me on this issue. I lost over 100 bucks due to this person's stupidity. Apparently uO doesn't care about the loyalty of their long time customer. So why would I support business like this. read more

Unfortunately the door was open when I walked in. I didn't see the sign on the window saying masks were required in the store. I forgot to put mine on when I walked in. No employee even greeted me or my wife. It was about 10 minutes before I was rudely asked by a very un kempt employee "um do you need a mask!?" I was confused for a second so I said "um no?" Then he very rudely proceeded to tell me about the mask policy. Clearly this was this kids first job because he didn't know how to professionally talk to anyone. Definitely killed mine and my wife's vibe so we walked out. That store definitely missed out on buying customers. I will also add there were people in the store only wearing masks over their mouths, no one said anything to them... do better Urban Outfitters. read more

Urban Outfitters is to two minute trendy clothing as Ikea is to furniture that lasts 2 months. I never thought I'd find a pair of hemp shoes for over $50 but amazingly I found several and in different hideous colors. A dime bag isn't even that much and will probably give you the same effect of colored shoes for much cheaper! Legging jeans in over 100 colors, thin, cheap cotton t-shirts, odd feather and star jewelry and members only jackets that look like they came from Good Will. If that isn't bad enough there is a random "junk" area that carries beer mugs, although no one in here is older than 21, and books about poop. Whats not to love? Oh wait, the exit door! If you want to dress like a you're an anorexic, are so pale you're almost translucent and have a severe case of Twilight fever, UO is for you. Make sure you arrive unbathed, hungry and listless. Bonus if you make minor conversation about how your cat inspires your art work. You'll fit in just fine... read more

Back in the day, kids in Philly and its environs sweated Urban Outfitters. I was wary- it was never clear to me whether it was expensive or reasonable. I just did the thrift shop thing instead. Enter: Sophie. And, teenagehood. And, Instagram. And, cash. And, Urban Outfitters. This store is jam-packed with clothing, decor, and even makeup. Sophie took hours to find the perfect purchases- a long sleeved flannel, a rose-colored scarf that was knit by a Nana, a really soft shirt that is made of whipped butter and spider webs, and three pairs of bizarrely chosen socks. There was a sale. That made the soft shirt and scarf reasonably priced. The socks; so-so. The flannel was a different story. Urban Outfitters has its own brand/schtick/scam which has been baptized as "Urban Renewal". The latter procures thrift shop clothing, alters it, and then resells it with their "Urban Renewal" tag. I had no idea that Sophie had purchased a man's pajama top with badly sewn cuffs for thirty-five dollars. A faded, worn pajama top that would have been three bucks at the Goodwill. A pajama top that could have been worn by Jack Kerouac while on a bender. Urban Outfitters accepted the return of that flannel. Probably because they thought that my husband, who is a bear in human form, was cute because he cares about his daughter enough to take her to her shrine. It's true! Winks abounded. I was visiting a friend for lunch in Asheville and when she heard my kids saying they wanted to go to the Urban Outfitters she gave me A LOOK. She then went on to explain that a lot of local businesses weren't pleased to have Urban Outfitters set up shop in their area, and this prompted a lot of the "shop local" signage you see in the downtown shops. So then I really felt like a tourist. We spent some time inside looking around. My daughter fell in love with a $100 record player. Later at my aunt's house we found a perfectly functioning record player in the barn. For free. So the lesson I told my kids (and I'll share with you) is that if you want something that looks vintage you may as well find something that is vintage. Overall Urban Outfitters is fine. They do carry some cool novelty items. It's the kind of store I go to for ideas, but I don't usually buy anything. read more

This was all higher prices ranges. For just whatever clothing. I guess I just remember window shopping in San Diego thinking this place had cool stuff at reasonable prices. This store is so great! Every time I come to Asheville I always make it a point to stop here for some quick T-shirt shopping!! Right when you walk in you get a great feeling because of the large staircase and bright lights! They sell everything from men's to women's clothing, music, shoes, sunglasses, gadgets and accessories. While I was there they even had Fleetwood Mac Rumors and Adele 21 on 45! Yes people, that's 45. Records for all you folks that don't remember 45's. I never turn down a Stevie Nicks classic so of course I purchased! :) Anyway, men's are upstairs and they always have the best graphic T's. I picked up a Patron Tequila T-shirt and a Gibson Guitar T-shirt. Its more of a pricey American Eagle, only cooler and edgier! Great, friendly staff that will actually help you if you need something and a phenomenal location! read more

Urban Outfitters - Side of store - Women's Clothing Near Me - Asheville, North Carolina

It's an Urban Outfitters. We've all been to one, or a few. So I've got to grade it on the Urban Outfitters scale, IMHO. I've been to five that I can think of off the top of my head, including New York, New Orleans, Orlando and one other that obviously escapes me at the moment. I didn't spend a ton of time in here. I feel like when I visit an Urban Outfitters, I'm supposed to find clothes that I like, but I never do. What caught me was their KidRobot area. It was pretty cool, to the extent where I had to take out my SLR, instead of snap a couple of quick shots with my iPhone 4S. They have a little display with not only stock, printed guys from various series, but a handful of creations. I wonder if they were from some talented folk who work in the store, or some artsy locals, or...? The only sad part was that they were all glued down. It saddens me, but at the same time, I've seen them behind glass in Orlando, and they were all knocked down, and it just looked like total crap. Total. Crap. Their KidRobot selection to buy wasn't that great. Maybe there's actually a scene in Asheville? They had the new 2012 and... not much else. There were a bunch of other non-Kidrobot Vinyl that wasn't so interesting. Lots of Domo stuff, incase you're a fan. I left picking up a copy of "Ten Reasons to Punch a Dolphin In the Face" by The Oatmeal from clearance. A total steal at $5 on clearance. More and more, it's becoming a good enough reason to stop in Urban Outfitters just to see what they have on clearance. I got my Toms for $30, there were some boxers with kittens on them that I really should have bought, I got vinyl Simpsons figures for a friend for like $2.50 and a failed Kidrobot series figures for $1 apiece (normally way overpriced at $8, but for a dollar, it was worth it just to for the surprise of opening). There were two floors. A nice Urban Outfitters overall. I'd say better than Orlando, around on par with New Orleans (although I had better luck finding stuff, but also spent significantly more time there), and not as cool as New York which was at least 3 floors. I want to say three and a half. If you like Urban Outfitters, stop in. You won't be disappointed. read more

This Urban Outfittets is one of the smallest locations I've seen. It does have two floors, but the store itself is very narrow. I would like to compliment the employees, but even the store manager was a disappointment. The other employees just didn't seem to want to help or even check me out at the register. I've had other weird exchanges with employees at this location so I'll probably buy online from now on unless I need to try something on. I've been to A LOT of urban outfitters across the country and sadly this one is not my favorite. I hope the anthro coming to Asheville has a better scene. read more

Strong 3 but nota 4. This store barely fits into the Asheville scene. They have Black Friday and I have gone every year for the last 10 years to it and it seems to get worse each year with deals that are not so good and a pretty weak sale. I like the music but one of my family actually complained about the music which actually drove her out of the store. Funny because she did spend good money before leaving. The employees all seem very cool. And they seem helpful if you ask for help and are not pushy. I feel that they are trying to fit in the downtown Asheville scene and I will be back next year to give them another chance and hopefully go up a star. read more

But seriously, they are the place to go if you want to find the latest indie trends. Whether you're looking to furnish your apartment or upgrade your wardrobe, Urban has everything from instant film cameras and record players to crop tops and Calvin Klein sweats. They even have cool mugs, cookbooks, party essentials, makeup, jewelry...you name it!! The only down side of Urban is the cost. Although MOST of their products are good quality, you definitely pay the price. Even though I REALLY like Urban Outfitters I will only shop their sales. Overall, Urban is a really great place and I definitely recommend checking it out! read more

The sale and customer service this store are horrible! I was standing at the counter waiting for 3 minutes to be noticed by the store cashier, who was folding clothes and avoiding eye contact. After patiently waiting I decided to ask her if the counter was closed where I was quickly greeted by another associate who took care of my purchases. I would not come back to this store based on the ridiculously priced "markdowns" compared to many other urban outfitters I have been to as well as the bad attitude of a few employees. I only give two stars because they have a nice layout and I generally love the clothes that urban sells. read more

It amazes me that people are willing to spend hundreds of dollars on clothes that look old when you could walk 3 blocks over to a vintage store and buy the real thing for $20. Most of their clothes are nothing new and the prices are astoundingly high. i mean really? $90 for jeans? seriously, you can find authentic, cool vintage clothes for a quarter of the price downtown. the staff are snooty hipsters and eye you like they think you're about to steal something. read more

I am making this review terrible because of how poorly my friend was treated by the managers. My friend had bought a record from this specific store. The first album she had bought was scratched. The second album she had bought, was scratched and the third album she had bought was scratched! To make it clear, it was the same album because she had to return it 3 times! Now this is mainly the manufactures fault, but they still continue to sell this album now knowing there is a problem with it.She had called this store 3 different times, and they did absolutely nothing for her expect tell her to just keep returning it. They were also rude to her and that is unacceptable! After all of this, it makes me not want to shop at this location anymore and think that all the managers need to learn how to have good customer service. We were in Asheville a few months ago and I've been meaning to write a review ever since. My husband found a pair of shoes that he wanted, but they did not have the correct size. The sales associate (I wish we'd gotten her name!) was so helpful! She searched other locations online for us and made a few calls before ultimately finding them and having them shipped, for free, to our home.
