Is the older gentleman who made this store special still there. He seemed to keep the merchandise elevated over the average J Banks.

The service I received was vastly unhelpful and utterly disrespectful. Safe to say I won't be returning.

Came in last week looking for some pants and a vest, and Byrd had a way better idea of what I was looking for than I did!

After getting such a bad taste in our mouth at David's Bridal on Sunday afternoon, we googled to…read moresee if any other bridal stores were open while we were in town. Best Bride was, and so even though we didn't have an appointment, we drove over to see if they could accommodate us. From the moment we walked in, the difference was like night and day. We were warmly greeted and when we explained what happened, they told us they'd do whatever they could to take care of us. Even though they were busy with some other appointments, they made us feel special and welcome. It was such a pleasant experience from beginning to end, and I found quite a few dresses that I am now considering. The owners are incredibly friendly and will give you exactly the kind of experience that you would hope to have. High, high marks. We plan to visit them again as my date gets closer to see what other stock might rotate in, but they do have a large selection in a range of sizes, and can order anything you might like on their site that isn't out.

Since my mother and sister were coming for a short visit - I decided to go by myself to narrow down the selection. I showed Cheryl the style I wanted and the first dress she chose ended up being the one! When returning with my mom and sister it was a wonderful experience. Cheryl is perfect if you're having a hard time dressing for your body type. She's was so detailed oriented even her veil selections were dead on. Thank you - thank you for being the breath of fresh air with the madness of wedding planning. Above and beyond customer service!

I…read moreprobably should have looked at some of the reviews on here instead of taking Google at face value, because many of the complaints about the customer service ended up reflecting my own experience as an interviewee. After my recent interview for their "Social Media Content Creator - Entry Level" position, I left feeling that I was not given a meaningful opportunity to present my qualifications or demonstrate what I could bring to the position. First, I arrived approximately 10 minutes early after driving about 45 minutes to the interview, not to mention the additional 6 hours I drove down from VA to SC as I have been trying to relocate back to my home state. During the interview, I was asked preliminary questions about my availability and background, followed by questions about my social media experience. When I explained that I have extensive experience in graphic design, content creation, video editing, and managing social media for employers and clients, I was asked to provide examples of my work. I showed examples I have created and managed, including social media content for my previous employer, as well as my portfolio, which was included in my resume and application and contains examples of my graphic design and video work. However, the conversation quickly became focused on the fact that I had not previously created reels specifically for one of my companies. Although I explained that I have experience shooting and editing video and can create reels, I felt the interview became dismissive of my broader experience rather than an opportunity to discuss how those skills could transfer to the role. It also became clear to me that she had not viewed my portfolio, as she would have seen that I have even shot wedding videos before. I also wanted to point out that the position was advertised as an "entry-level" position, which was one of the reasons I felt comfortable applying. I understood that the role might require me to learn and develop certain skills, and I was prepared to do so. Because of that, I was surprised that the interview placed such significant emphasis on already having produced reels specifically for a company. I understand that reels may be an important part of the position, but I would have expected an entry-level role to allow for some degree of learning and development, particularly when a candidate can demonstrate related experience in graphic design, content creation, social media, photography/video, and editing. If reels experience was actually a requirement, I believe that would have been helpful to know from the job posting or before the interview as it would have allowed me to better understand whether I was an appropriate candidate before making the trip. I was also surprised when I was told that the remaining interview questions were primarily related to Instagram and would therefore be skipped. I found it difficult to understand why so much of the interview focused on their Instagram rather than getting to know me, my experience, and what I could bring to the position. Ultimately, I wasn't given the opportunity to demonstrate my knowledge or expertise, despite having experience doing so for multiple companies and clients. The interview was then concluded with a brief tour, followed by being told that the door was "that way." I was told to prepare for a 45-minute interview, yet I left after only 10 minutes feeling that the decision had effectively been made before I had the opportunity to fully explain my qualifications, experience, or what I could contribute. I completely understand that a candidate may not ultimately be the right fit for a position, and that employers may have specific qualifications or expectations. My concern is that, based on my experience, I don't feel I was given an adequate opportunity to actually interview for the position. If the company had already decided to move forward with another candidate, or if my background was not aligned with what they were looking for, I would have appreciated knowing that before making the drive. Even brief communication that the position had substantially changed would have been appreciated. I am sharing this feedback not out of hostility, but because I believe candidates deserve the same level of professionalism and consideration that employers expect from them. Those who intend to work for them or do business with them should know how they treat potential candidates who are just trying to look for a job. I prepared for the interview, traveled a significant distance, and was genuinely interested in the opportunity, which is why leaving feeling as though I had not really been given the opportunity to interview was particularly disappointing. I hope they will take this feedback into consideration when conducting future interviews. Despite my disappointing experience, I wish them and their team the best.
