Buyer Beware: Colossus is a nightmare.  Our countertop was installed with a crack in the 4"  border…read morewhich the owner acknowledged and decided the best option was to glue and putty prior to installation.  After a week we noticed several  issues with the countertop itself. Rings of various sizes there prior to install and weren't noticeable unless you looked at a low angle in the light, marks that began to appear everywhere and the counter itself is beginning to degrade.  The owner of Colossus sent his crew in to try and remove the rings without success. In an effort to fix the crack in the 4" border they were going to  grind out the black crack and fill it with white.  This was not the resolution I wanted. Joe (the owner) suggested a product we could buy that might remove the rings leading us to believe that this was our problem to fix four months after installation. Clearly the counter top was/is not properly sealed. There is still no effort  from the owner to fix or resolve the issues and we are going on 5 months.

We had a very specific idea of a design we wanted, and they executed! We showed them a photograph of a base found at a big-box store, and Paul and the team recreated it for us. I'll be honest - I ask a LOT of questions, and struggle with not controlling every aspect of the process. Every email and DM that I sent over (which, were multiple, I assure you) were promptly and thoroughly answered, with the upmost professionalism and enthusiasm. For stain colors, I was having trouble visualizing the stains in our space, and the team mailed over physical samples for us to look at. They continued to update us during the build process, showed us mock-up photos, and even worked with us to change the design slightly, at my request. The obvious best/most important factor is that the table base was everything we hoped for. The piece is stunning, sturdy, and perfect - it's very clear the team takes pride in their craft. Delivery was a breeze, and was super fast and efficient. My only regret is that we don't have a need for anymore furniture right now! I emailed Duane May 21st with a picture of the vestibule along with its measurements requesting a quote. I never heard back from him. He must have gotten my email because it was never returned with an "undelivered email" error message. It's a shame because had I a good experience replacing the vestibule, I was going to request a quote for remodeling my kitchen.

I waffled on what I wanted multiple times and he was always willing to hear me out, show me examples of work they have down elsewhere, even as the minutes past closing ticked on by. He wasn't pushy, which would have been an immediate red flag to me. When I finally chose materials, everything was done as promised, when it was promised. I get multiple compliments on my kitchen. My parents are planning to do some work on their home and I will absolutely be calling them back.
