You're probably not going to get a walk in tattoo done here, but walk in to talk to or consult with an artist ahead of time to be sure. The shop itself is in a good location with a decent amount of parking, and inside it is inspiring. There are lots of plants and beautiful art. It is body-positive and woman-positive with more than one woman tattoo artist in residence. The tattoo work areas are separated with short walls and actual doors so privacy is controlled. It also allows each artist to have her own space full of the energy she wants. This part of the shop's design really adds to the experience of being worked on there. It allows the creative energy to bubble around without feeling intrusive or exposed while being worked on. It can also shift during a session - door open or closed. I have two fairly large, artist-original pieces done by Autum McCallister (Lethal Lady). Her work is magical! You can find it on Instagram or Facebook, or stop in to see her. She also does commission pieces (your design). Autum's eye for color, shape, and layout makes for truly gorgeous body art. When I have requested (small) changes to a design, she is thoughtful and takes her time to work through what will work well with the piece and fits with what I like. She'll also make some changes as she works and sees the piece come to life on your body. To top it off, she has a great sense of humor, and we have fun conversations with a lot of laughter. Though I haven't worked with any other artists at this shop, I have listened to them work and seen some of it. Stop in with your idea, and whoever you talk to will either be a good choice or tell you who the right person for your piece would be.

Believe me when I tell you that I was nervous as hell going outside my regular guy, but he would not do my sternum, so I had to find someone else. I sent Brian a few ideas that I liked and told him to use those for inspiration- I wanted the artists true work and always give my artist free range to play with my concept. Brian came up with a lotus flower idea and added some details that i liked, and he came up with something that matched my energy and meaning behind the tattoo. The sternum is not an easy tattoo to sit through, but he did his best to distract me and keep me on the table as long as possible- got it done in 2 sessions with his help. When she came out to even look at my bellybutton I said if I didn't have the right anatomy to pierce it I would get something else so she wouldn't feel like she had too, then when I showed her she got annoyed and said I couldn't get the one I wanted and I could only get the floating navel which is fine but then she got snappy when my boyfriend tried to hold my hand for a second because he thought she was piercing me and then when she went to pierce me she didn't even tell me when she was piercing me she just stuck the needle in. I knew when she did it that it felt a little tight but I just thought it was because she had just done it but after a couple hours i realized how much it was pinching my skin together and how much it hurt, I couldn't walk, bend over, or do anything bc of how tiny the piercing was. Not to mention she didn't use a clamp so she pierced way too much skin. I went to two different tattoo shops to try and get it changed out and every time I said I went to liquid chaos and every time I said that they said " oh you went to Kayla" the one shop told me that they had many customers come in unhappy because of how Kayla pierced them. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!

I went in, and it was what seemed to be just the owner and an apprentice. Before the piercing, he asked if I wanted the placement even and symmetrical with the other side, so I said yes. After the piercing, I told him the placement was off, and the the hole on the inside of my nose seemed to be really really low, close the bottom of my nostril, and also that the diamond on the jewelry was facing towards the sky, not out. She does absolutely beautiful work. In fact, everyone here has beautiful work. Every single artist here is truly that, an artist! They regularly have their own personal art hanging on the walls of the building. Every few months, they also have gallery events for new art shows they're hosting! The interior is super clean. The girl running the desk is very nice and efficient, and setting appointments is easy-peasy. They're very welcoming, especially to someone who had never walked into a tattoo shop before and wasn't just getting a tiny black and white piece.
