    Rasmalai
    Emma W.

I kept driving by and finally decided to do something about my curiosity! The location is a food truck in gas station. I ordered Mango Lemonade, Lamb Biryani & Rasmalai. The lemonade didn't taste artificial and it was a nice deep yellow color, very light and refreshing. The Lamb Biryani had this lovely aroma that you could smell immediately upon opening the container. It came with some sweet pickled onions & raita. I didn't know what raita was before but it was this creamy oniony condiment that I LOVED. I would've eaten that by itself but pared with the lamb and rice was just tangy goodness. The lamb was plentiful, tender & chopped up in small pieces. Definitely could be a two person entre. The Rasmalai came in a small deli container with 3 small round patties covered in a sweet milk sauce. The patties were cheese and oh so tender. There were some spices or maybe nuts that made the thing just a bit tangy. Indian cuisine was not apart of my growing up, so exploring these new dishes was a very delightful experience. I spent about $30 for the meal.

We had a family of 8 and tried a number of dishes including chicken masala, tandoori chicken, lentil and chickpea dishes. Super tasty! The wait staff was friendly and attentive, and the owner was a pleasure as he walls around and chatted with everyone. He wanted to make sure we were eating our Naan first while it was hot, and then focus on the rice afterwards. (Advice that changed my life, I was always a rice first sort of guy). The tables didn't feel too tight, it definitely gets loud with the dinner rush but nothing more than you would expect. Such an awesome place with great flavor! I loved reviewing restaurants in Logan, but there's only so much up there... now that we've moved to Utah County I'm excited to get back into the food scene! All that to say excuse my lack of pictures, I'm a little rusty haha. But trust me when I say this was awesome food!!

Understand and accept a) that it's a vegetarian buffet, b) you can get a completely balanced meal with all the protein and nutrients you need, and c) you don't have to be Hare Krishna to enjoy their buffet. We showed up there at about 5 PM. The people working there were very nice and welcoming. I recommend the halvah--which is a wheat-based dessert dish. It was sweet and delicious with a pleasant thick texture (like clumpier cream-of-wheat). Everything in their salad bar looked so fresh, and they put out some honeydew that they told me they grew there. I thought I'd give it a try, though I dislike honeydew in general--but the color was so vibrant and it looked juicy. It was unlike any honeydew I've ever tasted; the grocery store honeydew is trash compared to what they were serving. It literally tasted like honey. It was a small but varied buffet. The mung bean soup was bright and tangy--so good. There was something that was either pan-fried yucca or sweet potato; whatever it was was starchy but kind of sweet. I kept going back to the halvah. Outside there were llamas, peacocks, trees, parrots, a koi pond. The people working there welcomed us to walk around, hang out, visit their service (which started at 6, but we declined), to do whatever we wanted to relax. It was a great way to decompress and eat a healthy, nutritious meal while traveling.

Overall, it was really good. Not perfect, but definitely worth a visit--and I'll be back. Really 4.5/5 stars, but rounding up because Yelp won't let me do halves We ordered the Currywurst, which was one of my go-to lunches back in Germany, usually grabbed from a food truck or Imbissbude on the way home from Uni or work. The flavor of the sauce was solid and brought back some strong nostalgia points. But--and this is where my Germanophilic pickiness kicks in--they didn't add curry powder on top of the Currywurst and sauce, which is pretty standard in Germany (at least 95% of the time). Still, it hit the spot. What I really wanted, though, was for my mom to finally try a Döner Kebap, which she's never had. Unfortunately, they were out of their pita bread because their baker was late today. Total bummer. That's the only reason I knocked it down from 5 to 4.5. Redemption came in dessert form: Spaghetti Eis. Perfect texture, great balance of vanilla ice cream, strawberry sauce, and white chocolate "cheese." Nailed it. In short: if you're a fellow Germanophile, Rimmels might not check every single box--but it checks enough to make it well worth your time. And if you're new to German food and you're in the Provo/Springville/Spanish Fork area, then this is a great place to start.

Their menu is easy to read, and the decor is fun. You can place a pin where you first had your doner. I tried to order a Bratwurst and they were out of that so I went with my coworker's recommendation of the Schnitzel with Spatzel and it was just okay. I kinda had my heart set on the bratwurst and probably didn't give the dish the consideration it deserved. The pork filet was delightfully crunchy but the meat was a little tough and the lemon was the saving grace of the dish. We ordered our meals to go and we didn't receive any plastic ware and I definitely needed utensils.
