We had not been here since before the pandemic, I loved it then, it's even better now. My son & his friends always have a good time. We were celebrating a birthday and it was well worth it. They have real bathrooms now, so that's my favorite post COVID upgrade. The only negative thing I can think of are the flies but there's nothing you can do about that, it's outdoors and if you have food the flies are going to find you. I haven't been through their paintball experience. This is only a review on their wonderful customer service and amazing gender reveal smoke emitters. We were scavenging for last minute, locally sold gender reveal smoke sticks and found out they sold them here. We searched high and low around town with no luck and they were our saviors, haha. The customer service throughout was great, let me explain. My sister was the only one who knew the gender and she called them to hold two of the corresponding colors, but she needed them to hide the colors from us, the parents. They went above and beyond by boxing them so that we wouldn't see the colors when we picked them up! They were excited for us, were friendly, and carefully explained the specifics of these sticks and how to use them. As for the smoke emitted, the smoke is bright, big (seriously, we were engulfed), scentless, long lasting, and the fact that they are double ended made for a fantastic, unique experience! I highly recommend the gender reveal sticks from here, they are very well worth the price!! My husband and I, plus our family and friends, loved them! read more

This is not the best place for paintball, but if you have a low budget and just a newbie, you can start here. Prices and other details are in their website so there's no need to mention them here. I came here once for my birthday, so i bought a BIRTHDAY BUDGET with about 20 other friends (doesn't have to be your birthday to buy this). After sunset it was too dark we couldn't see our target. There's no lights in the field. The place looks kind of... ghetto to be honest. We thought we were lost in a construction site at first until we noticed the graffiti wall saying Urban War Zone. A good thing was that our instructor was really friendly and funny. He gave out our masks, guns, everything needed for the game and instructed us carefully for our safety. I will definitely NOT recommend this place for kids. Guns were super heavy. We all got bruises where the bullet (the paint) hit. It was really painful if you got hit, and most of the time was in the head. Some of my friends even bled. The paint is washable and does not smell, but i recommend wearing long trousers and a jacket or whatever to cover your body, it will lessen the pain and bruises. There were only 2 small fields open on ordinary days. If you're new to paintball, the instructors will watch you, tell you the rule and tell you if you got hit and if your disqualified or not. They can take photos for your if you want. You can give them your camera and they will walk around at the beginning of the match when you're working on strategy. One minus for this place is that it does not have a restroom. There are 2 mobile/portable restrooms, but they are not clean and super small and uncomfortable. read more

Went for my birthday with my 2 friends and boyfriend, y'all - it was so fun! They don't rush you to play, they let you play on your own time. The staff was great and very informative from the beginning to end. They allow you to play with others if you have a small party like ours and stand in on the fun to make sure everyone is safe. The only draw back is it was SO HOT that's our fault, I decided to go during the summer and I wore shorts (ouch). They only have 2 small courses and 1 large one. I'll chalk some of this negative review to bad luck. Three times I was given broken guns. The rest of the negative review falls on the head staff kid. I told him that my Gun was jamming and/or paintballs would just fall out of my barrel if I pointed it downward. He was inattentive and dismissive. After playing a game where my gun wouldn't work and the ref verified my gun was definitely broken. The head staff kid didn't apologize. I replaced my broken gun with another broken gun... blah blah blah... needless to say I could've had a better first experience paint balling. Update: The owner responded to my review with a personal note. Based on his response I've decided to add two stars to my original one star review. And I may give his establishment a second chance for an opportunity to add more stars. read more

Took a group of 20 to play today, and we had a great time. The rental gear was all in excellent condition, and the field refs were very patient with our youngest players (5th and 6th graders). The group pricing is a tremendously good deal, and the unlimited play is a far better option than many other paintball facilities. Thanks for a great experience! read more

Went paint-balling a couple of weeks ago in Houston for the first time. This place was below average from other places I have experienced. They have two main fields. One with blue airball bunkers/obstacles and one with large wooden obstacles. Both fields are next to each other with a little rope running down the length of the fields on the ground separating the fields. When two different games are going on at same time, other members can be mistakenly hit by the other side and the reffing by the staff seemed to be slightly careless. Equipment seemed to be worn out and costs were about same as other places I have been, maybe slightly less, but quality of the setup was lower then cost warranted. The parking lot is a dirt field and it is hard to get in and out with very limited space. I guess it is functional for the amount of people that come to play on these fields. Also, we had to quit quicker than we wanted (played little more than an hour) due to random rain starting. This was a safety precaution taken by the staff, so I had little problem with this, but we didn't get rain-checks. I don't know how other places in Houston are, but this place didn't really excite me into coming back to play... thou it was still fun b/c it is paintball and there's just something about shooting plastic balls of paint at other people... read more

Similar to Jon S's review below, not sure if I could rate this as 2 stars as this was my first time (and probably last time) playing paintball. Maybe it's not my thing, but for the price for the entry fee, rental equipment and gear of $30, I didn't think it was worth it. As mentioned, the fields were smaller than expected. There are two fields but for some reason we were never able to play on the other field. We wanted to, but the staff there didn't seem to want to let us go over to the other side. There were a ton of groups here the day we went, but the games were quick (something else I didn't expect - good and bad) and if you lined up you could go out to the field and play again. So that meant only a few minutes of waiting time in between games which is a plus. I could see this being a cheap option if you had your own gear. It's not like they charge you by the time you're here, so you could play all day if you wanted. read more

Came out for my first paintball session today, and all and all had a pretty good time. The staff was friendly and accomodating, even went as far as letting my group of five play 2 on 3 while waiting on other players. This was great, especially because this was my first time playing and my group also had a middle schooler who was a bit skittish about getting shot. Once everyone was ready to roll, we were funneled into mass of other players at Urban. Why 4 stars? The gear was a bit worn out ie my chest protector had holes in it and my mask was very scratched, making it harder to see as the day went on. The fields were pretty good, but I don't have much to base that off either besides the opinion of my group. Prices are par for the course, get the $15 card and this will discount the entire group. Would I go back? Plan on it next month! read more

Due to the ease of access to this particular paintball park, I chose to bring 20 employees a Saturday afternoon for a company event. Overall, our group had a great time! The group had a great time, and it accomplished my main purpose of building unity. The park isn't massive, so management schedules time blocks for groups and makes sure that there aren't so many people in the park that you can't play virtually non-stop if you choose to. For the price of just $20/person I can't think of many other activities we could have brought so many people to and entertained them for 3-4 hours! read more

Well the rating for two stars states " Meh. I've experienced better." Well I can't fully say I have experienced better, because this was my first time but I have to say that I'm sure I will indeed experience better in the future. When my buddy bought passes at a Sam's Club we thought we were getting an indoor, 4 story paintball experience. No dice. In fact another guy thought the same thing. I guess the other place has been out of business for the past 4 years or something crazy. Anyway, so there are only two fields, and to me, seem pretty small. They are in the same netting area sided by side. One course have a bunch of large tubes for cover will the other one was filled with large wooden spools which actually wasn't very safe because there was so many of them it was easy for some to shot each other at close range. Service was slow and didn't seem to be the most professional. No office really, just one of those ship crates that they store the equipment in. The equipment was standard stuff, got a gun and mask. Different deals for the balls and unlimited CO2. We went on a saturday around 5ish and didn't get to start playing for a good hour, other groups were before us, which sucked waiting around. Plus it was getting darker and we played at night which I felt is a lot harder. They had one light generator that I thought didn't fully help because it gave away shadows and such for cover. The spool course was very muddy. I didn't know and slipped in a patch, because again they only have one life for both fields so you can't see the ground at all. Because of this I slipped and was exposed and got nailed. The price wasn't too bad and really if you get there and it's pretty quiet then you can get some games in and it isn't too bad. I could see myself going back every now and then esp because I'm not sure what else houston has in this area. Also, as noted, the photos don't look like they do online. As a friend of mine got shot in the leg just waiting to go inside the netting. read more

For being in the city, it is nice, but very small. 3 fields and people don't really show up on Fridays. They are pretty expensive and require field paint. Well, we were told they require field paint, but others brought in their own paint. Maybe we got ripped off. Spent almost $200 for 10 hours of paintball for 2 people, whereas I could spend $80 for two if I got my own paint. Also, they have garbage paint. I would prefer to visit TXR as they are much larger and customer service is amazing. read more

Had a group of 15 reserve for a work party. Made special arrangement with the place so we can get there around 6pm. A few players in our group had to cancel and we only have about 9 show up. We understand there would be cancellation charge if our party didn't show up by 6pm but at 5:45pm the manger all he wanted was the full cancellation fee. We try to work something out so that the people that was there can play but before the manager would let us talk all he wanted was the full cancellation fee and close shop. So I guess this place just want money and don't care about customer service. We even offered to pay for the whole group of 15 but only have 9 play but even that option we needed to pay for the cancellation then we can try to work something out. So they got our full cancellation fee, laughed, and told us good night. read more

Gave my son a birthday party here for his 13th birthday and we had great time. We bought the deluxe package so they provided us with equipment, pizza, sodas, pictures and unlimited play. My son, son-in-law, friend and myself went on a Friday late (summertime) and we had a blast! The young man who managed at that time was extremely nice, funny, and explained everything (rules and all) clearly and with a great attitude. In comparison to where we've played before, the guns were much more powerful and straight-shooting at longer distances here. Also just getting hit in the leg or arm won;t send you out - critical hit areas only. The referee was good too. We went in with our Groupon and they recognized it immediately and honored it without problem. The maps (playing fields) were small and not as elaborate with trees, etc. as other places BUT they had plenty of obstacles and were challenging enough for us occasional weekend warriors. Their people were great, the equipment worked well, and had a great time. I very much recommend this place - go have some fun. BTW, this is outdoor - some people in the past have been tricked into thinking it's an indoor place (and the owners have never promoted it as such. They are going to soon expand it double than what it is now. It's also easy to get to. read more

The fields are really small and the staff doesn't do paint checks and I use to go there. Now I go to txr paintball which is a much better place at txr the people there don't cuss and the staff cares unlike urban war zone . Also they do events a lot in txr like the acdallas one where I went it was a blast and u get a ac Dallas jersey and you get to play with the pros. So overall I don't recommend this place and it in the ghetto part of town read more

Not the best not the worst. it can be better, bigger but overpriced for small space. Its in the heart of ghetto houston and you'd think the cost would be less, but the cost is comparable to places in Sugarland or Katy or River Oaks and the service could be better managed but the workers are great. Overall for my first experience it was okay and though it will be my last at this establishment, i do think there are better ones out there which won't dampen my paintball first time ever experience. read more

I thought that getting back into paintball would be fair game here so I decided to give it a few goes again. It's my second time coming here today and I'll be leaving disappointed. I'll tell you why. It's usually $15 (plus tax) for entry when you have your own full set of equipment (excluding your own nitrogen refill station) , and about $9-$10 more for all day air, which I think is a fair price for all day air since people with their own tanks would have to pay $5 for every fill without it. I planned on being here for 3 hours. The total I paid was $27.06 but what I didn't know was that I was charged for all-day air within that price. I was not asked if I wanted to purchase it. I never asked for all day because I had left over air from my last game day, which lasted me the entire time here. I've only used about 450 rounds of the 800 I brought. I did not use too much paint because of my conservative gameplay mindset therefore I did not assume that I would need all-day air; the manager or person working the register assumed I would want all-day air (which may have been seen as courtesy on their end). They won't refund you for their own mistake. I am not usually this upset in my reviews but paintball is a passion of mine. I could be leaving today having only paid close to $17 but I will be leaving having paid $27.06. The best it got is that I will get a fill of $5 value but there is still another $4-$5 I will be missing. I will not be coming back here for quite some time. read more

My first time paint balling. It was pretty cool. It also stings a little. The thicker your clothing, the better. Even if you go by yourself, it'll still be cool. You can join someone else's group. KICK ASS TIME!! I'd like to start by saying the Porta-Johns were both clean, handicap accessible and in a great secure location. Other the that, me and my muchachos didn't give a rats a$$ for human life whatsoever out on the field. My favorite part was when this firecracker named Al executed this dweeb that went by Don (or something) from point blank in the side of the head. Classic! The only thing I would change is their alcohol policy. I wish they served Miller Lite and an assortment of spirits. For this reason I have to take this review down to a 4-star. read more
