What a great find! The yogurt is f-a-n-t-a-s-t-i-c! Tooling around Shingle Springs with friends on a lazy Saturday, the GF spotted Urban Yogurt and made a sudden u-turn:) into the Urban Yogurt private parking lot. Ok! I guess we are having frozen yogurt. What a cute shop. Such a welcoming vibe. A few nice tables and chairs on the front patio. Plants, greenery and lights that illuminate at dark. You know you just want to take your yogurt and sit and watch the world go by while relaxing in that comfy space. Oh my... the inside of the small shop was peaceful and equally as well appointed as the patio. Chairs with pillows and wood tables with comfortable seats. Even a flickering candle in the back corner. There were two young women behind the counter with nice smiles as we entered. One explained the "ropes". Pointed us to the yogurt choices and bowls. We were on our wayyyy. Interestingly... the yogurt choices only included non fat and low fat. Hmmm. No regular fat yogurt?:) Full disclosure: I am not really a frozen yogurt fan. Or I should say I "was" not a fan! Omg! The Cake Batter, frozen, low fat, yogurt was soooo good! I love this more than ice cream. And believe me... I love ice cream. Thick, creamy and lucious. Satisfying in the best possible way. Rich flavor and smooth consistency. I added a few Reesse's peanut butter pieces on the top and it just gave it the best crunch ever. I am addicted! And as of this review, I have been back several times. If you are looking for sugar free, dairy free, gluten free... even kosher you will find it here. Quite impressive. My last visit the following flavors were available: cake batter (yay) triple chocolate, horchata yogilato (sounds interesting), strawberry bliss, pom-rasberry, world's best tart, old fashioned vanilla, and bosenberry Italian ice. Whew! Something for everyone. Let us not forget all the sauces just waiting to be drizzled and the huge variety of toppings too. So many yogurts... so little time certainly applies at Urban Yogurt. Being new to the neighborhood I was excited to try this place out, but was immediately disappointed when I walked in and the 1 worker, (2pm Wed), was sitting on her phone, not helpful and did not greet. She was bothered by us coming in and asking a few questions. Yogurt and toppings were good but the customer service was not. Pinkberry takes the win. read more

I will admit the yogurt was good, but the worker working there was horrible, she was in the bathroom braiding her hair when we walked and, told another customer to wait for her to finish before they used the restroom. She was behind the counter still braiding her hair when we put our yogurt down for her to help us put toppings on. She told us to "wait for her to finish braiding her hair" before she helped us. It took a long time. When she eventually finished she didn't wash her hands after. Absolutely disgusting. We will not be returning. read more

Their flavors are so awesome! My favorite is chocolate, second is Hibiscus . The flavor is so rich and it's not overpowering sweet. All of the employees are really kind too. Her homemade creme brûlée is the best frozen yogurt I've ever had! Triple chocolate and Cake batter (but it's gluten free! I think of it as vanilla egg custard mmmmm) are the regular flavors, and all sorts of fun ones change regularly. Tons of toppings, but I prefer roasted almonds and fresh berries. We've been visiting weekly/monthly since it opened. We love the new owner too, and supporting a small local business. read more

Let's start with the ambiance, so warm , inviting and picture perfect. The attention to detail from even having a step stool in the bathroom for the potty training littles to reach the sink and wash their hands . The owner even offering her restroom to us if we're ever out and about and need somewhere to encourage my potty training 2yr. Old to go. A good Frozen Yogurt shop with exceptional customer service. Had never tried this place until after the Covid-19 shutdown began. I wanted to support local shops in the area so decided to give this place a try. I'll be honest I had driven past this place many many many times and never thought about trying it. I judged this place on its appearance, which isn't elegant or eye-catching. The reason I stopped was because of the long line of people I saw waiting outside for their orders. Boy am I glad I gave this place a try, my entire family loves their unique flavors. Check your flavors before driving down because they change on a daily basis to keep your taste buds on your toes. My only complaint would be that toppings have been scarce in my cup. I'm hoping next time I go asking for "extra toppings," will fix that. We pay by the weight so make em heavy! :) read more

I really enjoyed all the flavors. Each flavor clearly list allergy etc. very cute place. The toppings are behind the counter and added by the employees. Lots of topping choices as well. However, the place is wayyyyy too expensive. We didn't even have full cups or that many toppings. For two yogurts it was $23! I understand business are struggling but that is way overpriced.
