There is a no phone policy in the yoga room, so it's the perfect hour to disconnect and recharge and get in a good yoga session. What can I say! I love Project 7 Yoga!…read more I have been coming to this studio on and off for years (starting back in 2018-ish). During the earlier stages of my time coming here, I'd usually only go to their Yin / Deep Stretch classes because I had a pretty solid work-out regime outside of yoga. So, the deep stretching was a great balance to my primarily cardio-based routine. It was not until last year, that I fully committed to a membership and it's been the best decision I have ever made. Though I am not a complete novice to the practice of yoga (as I have been doing it on and off with no real consistency since middle school when it was recommended as physical therapy to me by my doctor), I am a novice to being consistent with my practice of yoga. Signing up for a membership, has been the game changer. The instructors are amazing. Patient yet encouraging. They take the time to learn your face (and name) which just makes attending the studio feel that just more like a supportive friend group. Though, they offer primarily heat based classes, do not FEAR it. The heat is bearable. It's almost as if with each passing move you are sweating out the negative energy of the day, toxins, and any bad vibes you may have had following you that day. You leave feeling refreshed, inspired and deeply proud of yourself for showing up for YOU. Needless to say, I am a total fan of this studio. The space is clean and there is ample parking. They offer great membership packages as well as reasonable drop-in class prices. They also host various restorative events like crystal bowl meditations. And if yoga is your calling, fret not, because you can also go through instructor training under their tutelage. I do the hot vendosa yoga on Tuesdays at 5:30. Sue is a fantastic instructor, she offers lots of modifications for the newer yogis and more challenging poses for the advanced. There's always a great group there and a variety of levels so you never feel like you're in the wrong class. The studio is always very clean and inviting. Katie, the owner, is a wonderful human being who deserves all the accolades for this all-inclusive space. I love that Peaceful Peacock advertises that it is a safe haven for all races, genders, LGBTQ+, and abilities. I also love that they are constantly running deals and specials that make yoga affordable for just about anyone. They even allow you to pay weekly if you want to have a membership. (Invaluable info for people who live paycheck to paycheck and want to improve their physical and mental health here.) They offer chair yoga and are ramp accessible. One of my closest friends is wheelchair bound for life and I notice whether places are accessible everywhere I go because of her. The studio is beautiful and welcoming and mirror-free. Who wants to think about how you look when trying to unplug from the world and recharge? Not this girl. All the instructors are wonderful and I always leave feeling happier and more at peace. I went to my first YogaMix class this past Tuesday evening, and it was a Yin Sound class. The first…read morehalf of the class was a nice and gentle introduction into Yin yoga followed by a restorative sound bowl relaxation half. Having been out of practice of yoga for about two years, give or take, this was a great way to get back in practice. Fast forward to today, and I attended the Mat Pilates class today and it was far more high intensity and high energy. This class was more challenging but it was a really good work-out. The instructors for both classes were super sweet. My only suggestion (and this is because I am used to how things were in the previous studio I use to attend years ago) is that it would be great to be shown modified versions of various exercises - especially if mobility issues plays a factor. I would also appreciate posture correction or assistance in getting into the correct posture for certain exercises I'm less confident in or not quite sure how to perform properly. Beyond that, I truly like this studio. I am looking forward to going to more and more classes here because they offer such a great variety of classes.

I also really enjoyed the scented eye coverings they provided during savasana. It felt really immersive as I was surrounded by the sounds of the bowls.
