I went to my first YogaMix class this past Tuesday evening, and it was a Yin Sound class. The first half of the class was a nice and gentle introduction into Yin yoga followed by a restorative sound bowl relaxation half. Having been out of practice of yoga for about two years, give or take, this was a great way to get back in practice. Fast forward to today, and I attended the Mat Pilates class today and it was far more high intensity and high energy. This class was more challenging but it was a really good work-out. The instructors for both classes were super sweet. My only suggestion (and this is because I am used to how things were in the previous studio I use to attend years ago) is that it would be great to be shown modified versions of various exercises - especially if mobility issues plays a factor. I would also appreciate posture correction or assistance in getting into the correct posture for certain exercises I'm less confident in or not quite sure how to perform properly. Beyond that, I truly like this studio. I am looking forward to going to more and more classes here because they offer such a great variety of classes. read more

I attended Yin Sound and had a great evening! It wasn't a very typical yoga workout; and focused more on light stretches and meditation. I found it very rejuvenating and loved my time there. I also really enjoyed the scented eye coverings they provided during savasana. It felt really immersive as I was surrounded by the sounds of the bowls. Location was super clean and easy to find -- the hardest part is finding parking honestly. Would definitely recommend! read more

This place is basically a home away from home- it's such an escape from everything to come here after a hard day of work. They have relaxing yoga and hard cardio classes that have such range and variety, and all the instructors are so patient and kind and fun. There is so much personality here, long time members feel more like family, and everyone new who comes in always feels like a friend! I purchased a one time pass that I was not able to use right away. The website did not state I had to use it within a certain time frame. I finally go to use my credit of $15 and it is was $0!! The website to buy the pass was frustrating enough and then that. So they were able to reinstate it but that just seems like not good business to me. You just get to pocket my money if I don't use it? So I went on a Thursday night. When you walk in, your already in the studio. No entry area at all. Weird. The yoga instructor greeted me and was nice. I tried talking to her beyond just general convo but she seemed like she wanted to talk with her regulars more than me. The class was just ok. I really didn't enjoy it. The music was not soothing and was too loud. The way she verbalized the moves was not where I could follow without looking. I had to constantly stop and look. The flow was really weird. I'm a former Orlando Power Yoga member so I'm guess I'm spoiled with experienced staff. If you are new to yoga and don't know what to expect then this place will be fine. read more

I came to YogaMix for a puppy yoga event with Judy's Pet Rescue and let me tell ya - it was the BEST yoga class ever! I did not accomplish much yoga but got to play with puppies the whole time :) As far as the actual studio goes, it's very cute, bright and comfortable in there. It's a small space, so I imagine that actual classes would be feel very intimate, so keep that in mind when you think about your comfort level with yoga! They have mats that you can borrow, which is great if you're just wanting to try out a class. Our instructor was super friendly and I felt very comfortable the entire class. There is street parking out front of the studio and plenty of parking garages nearby for easy access. The only thing I had difficulty with was how hard the floors in the studio are. My mat was thin, so at one point when on my knees, I had a hard time holding the pose because the floor was a little uncomfortable. I'm sure a thicker mat would have been fine for it, but I would be afraid to try a new pose there and risk falling! I would definitely return for another class and would absolutely recommend this spot to others, regardless of yoga skill level! read more

This fun little yoga studio is located downtown and you will miss it if you don't know what you're looking for. The first time I had to go online and look at what their sign looked like in order to find it. I book here through classpass so I am not sure how they are priced. I like that they have a 6:30am class because that 30 minutes is everything in the morning! They have different instructors which is nice, everyone has their own style. The studio feels very home-y and funky at the same time. I can't explain it, you have to go. I honestly love it. read more

Went to the Community Flow class and it was such a great time. I'm very new to yoga and I felt very comfortable to the class. As a beginner I thought I would feel awkward but felt really good, it looks like there were a good mix of beginners and experienced yogis alike in this particular class. The studio is very beautiful and calming with mood lights in every corner, I felt very relaxed after a long week. I've heard a couple people say things about the parking but I live downtown and just walked over. Also the community flow is $5 most Friday's at 6pm, so I deff recommend if you're new and looking to try a yoga class. read more

My friends and I booked a goat yoga session as a unique surprise for our friend getting married next month. We found out upon arrival that the studio was under new management which could explain why the instructor was unprepared for the goat session. The session started out okay, however the instructor brought her young child and the goat handler also brought her child, we found this to be unprofessional and unrelaxing. The biggest issue began when the goats started chewing on the mats and ripping pieces off, the instructor was clearly agitated (rightfully so), however, they are wild animals and do not know any better. I will say the goat handler was very kind and helpful. As an instructor that advertises an environment for people to participate in goat yoga, the facility and the supplies should be goat friendly. The instructor was visibly annoyed and was constantly checking her phone almost as if she was counting the minutes until we left. As the instructor was getting more and more upset the children started pulling the goats by their horns and I said to the child "could you please let go of the goats horns because we didn't pay over 300$ to watch you all be mean to them". Our whole group felt that the goats were handled in an aggressive manner which made us all very upset and uncomfortable. Overall, we were disappointed with our experience and would not recommend this to anybody nor return to this establishment. read more

The studio is clean and the staff is very welcoming. So far I really like it and always feel better after going. They even offer rooftop yoga once a week! It's interesting that they offer other types of classes as well, like Zumba and HIIT. I'll have to try those next. Wow, I can't believe I actually enjoyed exercising LOL! That's all thanks to Gina and the YogaMix Studio located in the 420 building on Church Street in downtown Orlando. I went to my first class thanks to a ClassPass membership I received for Christmas. I decided to give the MuffinTop Meltdown a try. I didn't really know what to expect as I assumed it was yoga but turned out to be a mash up of cardio, toning, with hints of yoga thrown in to incorporate stretching. Gina was super nice, welcoming me as a first-time guest. Not knowing what to expect, I wasn't wearing appropriate footwear. Gina let me borrow a pair of shoes that fit me perfectly though! The room was the perfect size with a handful of people so plenty of room to work out. The class was really fun and perfect for all levels. I burned almost 400 cal in just 45 minutes. The greatest result I had though, was how amazing I felt when I finished. I can't wait to go back for the next class! For those who are scared of driving downtown as much as I am, the location is actually really convenient. You can park in metered parking on the street for free after 6 PM and all day Sunday. There is also a free parking garage in the same building around the corner from the studio. The studio also offers free towels and shower amenities. read more

I had a coupon for $5 intro class. I decided to try HIIT. The instructor was very friendly and thoroughly explained the class structure before we started. For me, the workout was a little short but that doesn't mean it wasn't a great class! HIIT isn't designed to last more than 30 min so I was happy with the experience. The studio is clean and the decorations created an energetic environment. I am thrilled with their class variety and I can't wait to go back! The studio uses essential oils for the aroma and handwash. That is another huge plus for me. Street parking is easy to find because the studio location is in the bottom of a new apartment complex, just outside of downtown. The other patrons in the class were welcoming & added to my great experience. Looking forward to going back! read more

This studio is a gem in the middle of downtown: perfect location, lovely space, the nicest instructors, Gina (the owner and also an instructor) is an angel. Everyone is always in a good vibe! So many options of classes (and I've tried them all!!) it never gets old; plus there's always new classes added, new hours for practice and new instructors that are always nice, approachable and willing to teach the newest and oldest members of Yogamix.
