Red Sun is my favorite Yoga Studio!! I love that they offer a variety of classes- Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Restorative, Yoga for Hips and Backs, AS WELL AS special events like Sound Healing, Full Moon Yoga, Meditation With Sound, and workshops! They have a variety of classes every day of the week and even offer classes for moms and kids! Daytime, evening, and weekend classes gives us so many options that fit our schedules! My favorites are Vinyasa with Sarah, the owner (who is amazing!), Hatha with Robin, Gentle with Violette, and of course Happy Hour Flow with Michelle or Tori!! All of the other teachers are exceptional, too! The space is totally devoted to yoga and features a large main studio and a smaller intimate studio for private and smaller classes. They have several sizes and thicknesses of bolsters as well as blocks, straps, blankets, and sandbags so that you can fully explore the use of props in your practice without having to lug along all your own gear. The studio is clean and aesthetically very zen! The VERY best thing about Red Sun is the spirit of hospitality and community they provide for all who practice there! I purchased a $25 one time pass to get to experience this facility that I have been eyeing for a while. First and foremost I see they are very strict on time so make sure you don't lose out on your money. I believe I got there a little over a minute or two and as soon as I came through the door I was checked in by the instructor and she pretty much gave me a very short intro of hi and have you done Vinyasa before? I replied yoga yes but not much of an expert. After that front door was locked so no one could enter during which I was instructed to place my belongings and shoes in the cubby. We then went into a small room due to event taking place in the main larger room that day. It was a tight spaced room but we pretty much fit just by the mark. The class were on a more advanced level and positions moved very quickly. I miraculously kept up for the most part but my wrists aren't that strong so had to alter some of the positions sometimes to cater to that. I for sure got some heat in and lil sweat so the work out was definitely there and appreciated. I do enjoy some good stretch's as well which it had some but more of a combined mix of balancing, standing, and dog ward down with it. I would have love to go to a gentle class to see if I can really can commit and since it's more at my yoga level. I can see this is def my cup of tea its just the steep membership prices has me contemplating. read more

I was looking for a yoga place to start going. I'm a beginner. I had takes some yoga classes at the local Y, but not much more than that. I took advantage of a intro specialist they have....30 days for $30. Perfect way to test the waters. It was easy to get the deal online and registered for the Gentle/Level I class. The app was also easy to find and download. When you download the app, it checks you in as soon as you walk in the door. Easy! If you don't have the app, there is a place to check in as you walk in the door. What I was looking for was a peaceful place that was welcoming and where it is OK to be a newbie. On first visit, that's what I experienced. When I walked in, I was greeted by Margo who was teaching the class that morning. I told her I was new and she promptly walked me through the studio and provided me a tour and gave me an idea of what to expect. Including where to put my things and where to get my supplies I might need for the session. She also reassured that the doors were locked after the session starts so that our belongings were secured. The session itself was great....while it definitely underscored my personal deficits at the moment (total lack of calm & balance for starters), it was definitely geared toward walking me through the yoga poses and flow. I've got a long way to go, and I think this will be a great place to progress. read more

Red Sun Yoga has made me a yoga snob. Like it's so bad...I can't go to any other yoga studio/workshop/event without analyzing the teachers style or complaining. The way the teachers teach is absolutely amazing. It's super safe and I love how you are encouraged to do what feels good vs trying to be super flexible and show off. There are no mirrors (unlike other studios) to really encourage you to focus on you. They also have this awesome prop wall filled with bolsters, blankets, straps, blocks, etc to help assist you in postures. I love all their classes and teachers. I love the evening classes just because of my work schedule but when I have time off, I love those 12 PM ish classes. I also love the Yoga Nidra classes and I wish they offered them every day. I don't believe any studio in Orlando offers this kind of meditation class. I originally got sucked in doing their 30 days for $30 deal and then completed my yoga teacher training program there about 2 years ago and I keep coming back for more. I highly recommend doing their teacher training program if you want to deepen your yogic practice. It's such a life changing experience. They also offer a ton of yoga workshops and events, like ocean drum meditations and live music with yoga. read more

Yoga has never been my thing, and believe me, I've tried! I've been to aerial yoga, hot yoga, and all the different classes-and I couldn't stick with it because it was a chore. Red Sun Yoga is different. My family and friends ask "who are you? You've always disliked yoga" however, it's now something I look forward to! Ive been coming to this studio since I moved to town a few years ago, and it's my favorite yoga studio I've been to! The energy of the space is peaceful and welcoming, and the teachers are so community driven that they remember your names and make you feel welcome when you walk in the door. After a messy divorce I returned to yoga several years ago as a mental and physical life saver. My studio eventually collapsed early 2021 and I moved to Red Sun. It can take me 45 mins to drive there, a real pain and added expense , but I do it 5+ times a week . This studio is my safe place, my sanity zone, my judgement free time.It keeps my rapidly aging body moving and my flighty mind and head calmed.The price for a senior is the best I've found. Choice of classes is excellent. Teachers and owner all are genuine and friendly. The studio is large , incredibly well stocked, extremely clean and efficiently run.My only problem? The fourth time I went there right at 8 AM and they locked the door and I knocked and no one will let me in. So that will not be my yoga studio. But I go with the flow. read more

Red Sun Yoga used to be my go-to studio. After doing yoga all over Orlando and now in London, I also have to say that Red Sun Yoga remains one of my favourite studios. Starting from my very first visit, I felt really welcome, which is truly important in a good studio. I met both the owners and the teacher before the class I attended, and I could tell that they weren't just running a business; they were living a lifestyle. This put me at ease immediately. The studio might not be too big, but it's just right. The classes never got too busy, and the intimate atmosphere meant that I could always count on some good posture corrections. All communal supplies (mats, blankets, blocks, etc) were well maintained and clean. The toilets and changing areas were also always super clean. I always walked in barefoot (after taking my shoes off at the door), and I was never grossed out about it because there was nothing to be grossed out about. The area was impeccably maintained. I always attended the astanga classes with Jaime. I don't know if she's still there, but I'd totally recommend her if she is. She was always a fun instructor, matching her asanas with cool, contemporary music, which I totally dig. And she always stressed the importance of listening to your body and going at your own pace, despite astanga being a more athletic type of yoga. I only wish that I had a Red Sun Yoga around the corner from me in my new town. Don't miss out on this gem! read more

I have tried doing yoga at several other places, but I have yet to be as comfortable anywhere else as I am here. I've done classes from Hatha to Ashtanga and have only had issues with one class, but that might be more related to my irritation with the Adele the instructor played rather than the class itself. I'm glad to live close by and try to work at least one class a week into my schedule. The times are convenient, so I'm always able to find at least one day during the week where I'm able to make it to the class I want. While most of the instructors seem to rotate out after awhile, I've liked all of them and have never felt pushed to disobey my body, nor have I been judged for not being able to do something. I've also had several instructors who, depending on the class size, will help me adjust my body while in a pose, which I always appreciate. They've always been respectful, helpful, and friendly. Everything is very clean, from the shared props (blankets, straps, pillows, wash clothes) to the restrooms (which are impeccable). There are little cubbies where you can leave your items, though I still wouldn't leave a phone or wallet hanging out where it's visible. As a note, there are no mats you can borrow, so you must either bring your own or buy one at the studio. They have many types of classes, and sometimes have yoga for kids too, so I recommend checking out the schedule before you go. It can change from month-to-month, but usually everything stays consistent. I've noticed that Hatha classes on weekday evenings tend to be more full than the others, but I've never felt crowded while here. read more

I have been going to Red Sun Yoga for over a year and I can't believe it's taken me so long to write a review! I had been away from my practice for about 8 years and, quite frankly, I was feeling a little intimidated. Living in the downtown-ish area I'm surrounded by yoga studios but none of them seemed to "fit" what I was looking for. It was all Power-This and Hot-That and other such nonsense. I think I even saw a class somewhere called "Yoga for Wimps"; seriously?!? When did yoga become an extreme sport? I was looking for a place that emphasized the mental and spiritual as much as the physical, a place that didn't make me feel like I had to be wearing designer yoga pants in order to fit in, a place that was warm, comfortable and welcoming. The minute I walked into Red Sun, I knew I'd found what I was looking for! I love that every class begins with a few minutes of centering and ends with the most divine shavasana... and the lavender scented eye pillows are to die for! The entire process feels whole, feels complete, as opposed to just jumping right into or out of postures. I typically take the slower-paced classes (Gentle or Yoga Basics) but never feel like they're too "easy" for me. Modifications are always offered so you can make each class whatever YOU need in that moment. My favorite teachers are Allison, Suzie and Jessica but the entire staff is wonderful, knowledgeable and extremely welcoming. Allison's Yoga Nidra class and Suzie's Back & Hips class have been absolute lifesavers! They usually have some sort of 1st Time Student promotion going on which is a great way to try lots of different classes without breaking the bank. I eventually signed up for the monthly unlimited program which, in my case, usually pays for itself within a week! There are countless other yoga studios in my immediate neighborhood but I gladly drive 20+ minutes for the little bit of heaven I've found within the walls of Red Sun Yoga. read more

Seriously, I have no problems walking into the bathroom barefoot and I am usually squeamish about those sorts of things, so that's saying something. I have practiced yoga at home with the help of videos and online yoga studios for years. I thought I would hate going to a studio and doing yoga in front of a bunch of people, so I had never tried it. When some health issues came up, I knew I had to find a way to get motivated and do yoga every day -- what better way than to spend money on a membership, right? Because I didn't really know where to start, I decided to try Red Sun Yoga... mostly because they have that little Buddha statue set up in the corner of the studio and also because it's a 10 minute drive from my house. On my first day at Red Sun Yoga, taking in the smell of incense and the dim lighting, I knew I'd found my studio. The teacher (Kathy) was so welcoming, and my first class - Yinyasa - was an amazing combo of vinyasa and yin. Since then, I've been to at least one class per day. Every class starts slowly, setting up to focus on breathing and our intention for the class, and ends with the best savasanas I've ever had. I've never felt self-conscious in any of the classes I've taken - there aren't mirrors in the studio and the teachers often make a point of reminding students that yoga is not a competition. I am absolutely in love with this place! Used to take jazz and ballet here as a child when it was a totally different studio and company obviously. It is sooo beautiful,,peaceful,,clean,,welcoming,,zen like and just fabulous. They offer classes to fit everyone's needs and whenever I leave here I feel better than if I had had a massage. My back no longer bothers me. I'm so incredibly relaxed it's unbelievable. Highly recommend and suggest that you go and check it out! Red Sun Yoga is a great place that is full of caring and compassionate teachers who know the human body. They are very observant and helpful at recognizing a students pain and help to release muscle tension and improve stretching through suggestions for that specific person's body and capabilities. I'm so glad they have been able to open under limited capacity as it greatly improves my life and physical and mental well being to be there. Warm and welcoming whether you are a returning practioner, novice or very experienced. There are classes for all levels and interests; guided meditation has been part of every class I have taken. Class guides give several modifications to help make postures as challenging or as gentle as one wants; in fact Gentle Yoga classes are scheduled several times a week. Everyone I have come into contact with at Red Sun Yoga has been so knowledgeable and genuine; one really has the sense that they live what they teach spiritually as well as physically. I signed up with the $30 for 30 days plan and will be renewing my membership with monthly plan; starting my day with yoga at Red Sun has inspired me to continue for as long as I can. First things first... I'm a big girl. Yoga isn't easy for most people, but it presents a challenge to have a belly blocking your moves. That said, the gentle yoga class is fantastic! It is truly gentle, yet worthwhile. The studio offers all of the equipment necessary to enable you to have the most positive practice possible. The Big & Beautiful session every other Saturday is also great. Do not mistake the slow transitions in this class for easy. Holding poses meant for bigger practitioners for longer intervals is challenging! This class goes a little longer than the weekday classes. Over all, I find the studio clean, comfortable, professional, and friendly. Sure, it's a little spendy, but not outrageous by any means, and there are plenty of payment options available. read more

A couple of months back, my boyfriend and I attended the Level 1 yoga class on a Friday morning and then had ourselves scheduled for a 50 minute couple's massage immediately afterward. The class was incredibly relaxing, though not as intensive as I prefer (but, again, it's a beginner's class) ... still, a great introduction to the peaceful, comfortable, clean personality of the studio. And then both our massages were wonderful -- the therapists were extremely personable, knew what they were doing and took care to ensure it was a great experience for us.
