The manager was so friendly and took the time to tell us if we didn't like the food that he would make us something else. My husband ordered the Club Sandwich. We haven't been here in a while. Stopped by recently for a quick dinner. Food is always fresh and delicious. Hubby had the turkey club sandwich with bacon and he really liked it. I had the chicken Baja bowl and everything was super fresh and yummy. My suggestion for Urbane Cafe is to add more protein in the bowl. Most restaurants give a minimum of 4 ounces of protein on their dishes. I'm not sure if there was more than 2 ounces of chicken in the bowl. Chicken is very thinly sliced and there wasn't much of it though. Other than that, everything was good. The white chocolate cranberry cookie was amazing. I used to stop by here all the times, several times a week, to pick up the cookies for my evening snacks. It's $3.19 per cookie now and it's not very big. I can easily eat three of them in one seating. The focaccia bread is very good and they make it onsite daily. There was no one in the restaurant when we came but people were trickling in soon after and there were many to go orders. read more

I really enjoy the food here and keep coming back because everything is always fresh and delicious. However, I was disappointed today. As usual, I poured myself some dragon fruit drink into one of the small complimentary water cups because it's the perfect amount for me. One of the employees told me that I would have to pay for it, which honestly surprised me. I always leave a tip of $2-$5 on an order that usually costs around $13-14. I'm not trying to get anything extra or take advantage of the restaurant--I simply can't finish a large drink and don't want to waste it. Considering the tips I leave every visit, is it really unreasonable to use a small complimentary plastic cup instead? I truly love the food, but today's experience left me disappointed. read more

Overall experience was ok! A solid 4 stars. We came on a Saturday around noon, the place was not crazy busy, but they were having a constant flow of customers. Parking can get hectic, lots of other shops around. It was a clean restaurant, well maintained and organized. The staff could've been nicer. A "Hi and welcome," would have been nice. But she was still professional and patient as she took our orders. The food was ok. It was just good. Good flavor, chicken was a bit dry, nothing some sauce couldn't fix haha. Bday 2025 Shout out to new manager: Jessica. I came here after what seems to be 6 years. I was next door at the bagel shop and decided to visit Urban Cafe and see what was new. I realized on my app, i had a bday free cookie that i could redeem and said "why not"? I chose their seasonal oatmeal raisin cookie and saw some cool changes to menu. U.C was a go to spot for me, but things went downhill while they were changing up management. I came here to grab lunch during my break. I tried the Baja Bowl and really enjoyed it! What stood out the most was the chicken. I thought it was super tender and the marinade was very good. All of the flavors paired well together, and the bowl was a good size leaving me feeling full! When you order inside, you will also see a hot plate with cookies on display behind the counter. I have to be honest, I was given a gift card for Urbane Cafe and wasn't too excited to try, not because it didn't look good, I'm just not a fan of focaccia bread. Wife decided we'd use up our gift cards tonight, so I went ahead and got a BBQ Tri Tip Sandwich and BBQ Potato Chips. I have to admit, I'm truly a fan of Focaccia bread (at least from Urbane Cafe). The bread was not as dense and dry as I'm used to, it was very soft and a bit fluffy (yeah kinda fluffy) and the tri tip was cooked perfectly, the bbq sauce and slaw were both flavorful, and the cheese was nice and melted. Something had a bit of a kick, I think the bbq sauce. The sandwich was very good, the right amount of ingredients. My wife got the Club Sandwich, I tried a bite and it was pretty good too. The pizza we got just to use up the gift cards, and it was pretty good too. I think the pizza is part of the kids menu, and a great idea for kids that may not like a sandwich or salad. Delicious is in the details. This is stapled on their wall, and definitely applies here! The decor is modern with wood accents and plenty of seating. The menu has lots of great options, and lots on the healthy side, but still super tasty! I had to try the So Cal sandwich first. It's got chicken, avocado, pepper jack, chipotle aoli, and tomatillo over their own focaccia bread. It was excellent! Also comes with a small side salad. This was a full meal with side included that doesn't break the bank. All of their poultry is all natural and hormone free. They have vegetarian dishes, lots of soups and salads, and offer gluten free bread as a substitute. I'm gonna have to try their chimichurri steak sandwich next time! We waited, and placed finally our order. After placing our order, we were told that bc they were busy, it would be 20-30 more minutes before we got our food. I was worried that it might not be GF because it was THAT tasty. Usually, we like this place. People are usually nice. There's one lady that always ensures our orders are ready and complete and I'm comfortable when we order because we order online. When she's not there, my wife doesn't get her extra dressing or we don't get the extra bread or we don't get the stuff that we ordered or it's wrong. Today was such a day. Quality control here is terrible. The sandwiches are prepared with an assembly line mentality. I went in at the time my online order was estimated and was told 11 more minutes. I watched as they prepared several (at least 8) orders at the same time. My sandwich, the bbq tri-tip ended up with more sauce than meat and made me sick to my stomach. This wasn't the first time, as another time (I'd forgotten I'd sworn off this place) my sandwich had way too much tomatillo salsa and was inedible. They also have forgotten items in multiple orders. One time a while back there was a customer with her cat in her arms at the counter. I alerted an employee that this was a health code violation but she said, it's ok, they are regulars.
