Stopped by Nick the Greek in Laguna Niguel and had the Steak Souvlaki Plate. The portion size was great, and everything tasted fresh. I also tried the Halloumi Fries, which came with a jalapeño avocado dipping sauce that was absolutely delicious. They have a great outdoor patio where they were showing the World Cup, which made for a fun atmosphere. The restaurant is very clean and well maintained, and the service was beyond exceptional. Ever since returning from Greece a few years ago, I've had a hankering for some Greek gyro pita wraps. We have tried a few and Nick the Greek popped up in our neighborhood. My husband and I went to check it out for dinner. We both ordered the gyro wraps at the counter and waited at a nearby table. The server brought it out to us after a short wait. The wraps were stuffed with gyro meat (lamb & beef), onions, fries, tzatziki sauce, on a pita bread base. It was delicious. The fries were kind of skinny and looked a little limp but the flavor was there. My husband was pretty happy with his wrap. I was full after finishing mine. Nick the Greek does not play around! I thought I really liked my chicken plate with those delicious fries....um hello Nick the Greek, why is everything I get from you guys so good????? The steak was tender and delicious, really good flavor. The fried chickpeas were a great crunch added and just everything in that bowl was delicious. Side note- kale was just a little dry for me so I got some of their Greek dressing g and sprinkled it on top. Just an added flavor boost, not that it needed it. We picked this spit initially because of the good reviews and WOW! We loved this food! The side salad dressing was a hit, all the lettuce and tomatoes crunchy. The gyro pita was delicious, I wish it came with some more sauce on it. The gyro plate is huge and for a great price. My mom got the gyro fries and those were to die for. They added this garlic seasoning on it that left us wanting more. The staff were so sweet to us and the manager (?) stepped out and helped us with out trays at the end. Thank you Hope for helping me today. Providing Taziki without paprika and removing it from my beef gyro was very appreciated. The beef bowl was equally great! The chunks of meat were savory, the veggies fresh, basmati rice exactly the texture it needs to be. Add the persian cucumbers, cherry tomatoes , kale, and fermented onions and you have a winner. Hi Folks, updated review for you. First, the lady working at lunch behind the counter taking orders is incredibly friendly, positive and passionate. She's amazing. Second, the lamb beef gyro wrap I got takeout today and brought to my office 3 min away was pretty good but already getting soggy. I was annoyed that when I said no tomatoes and I would like lettuce instead, I was told that there are no substitutions allowed. I asked for fries on the side, but they were cold. I recently had food from Nick The Greek at the office (from a different location) and had a good experience so decided to try this location tonight. That was a great decision. Restaurant only had few people inside when we arrived but filling in very quickly after we had our food and sat down to eat. I had the gyro bowl and that was so delicious. Substituted the rice for salad, just the way I wanted. They definitely did not skimp on the meat. The gyro meat was amazing, perfectly seasoned and juicy. So yummy. Hubby had the Greek burger without the spicy yoghurt and he LOVED it. Said the bread was also very good and the burger patty so delicious. The restaurant is brand new and super clean. Service was great. The associate that took our order was very polite. My order was rather complicated with all the sauces on the side and no rice and he got it all correctly! No mistake. I've been eating at Nick the Greek since 2014 (original location in San Jose) and it's a good fast food type Greek food. We got two chicken souvlaki plates and one of our chicken plates was quite overcooked and dried out. Overall the chicken needed more flavor and it tasted bland by itself. The portion of the chicken skewers are on the smaller side compared to all the carbs (bread and fries) served on the side. The fries and pita were fresh and I've always enjoyed the side salad that comes with the plates. We sat outside in the patio area and the floor desperately needed to be cleaned up. Hopefully these are notes to consider as they get adjusted to running the new business. Overall my rating would be 3.5 star for our first visit. read more

The gyro plate had a ton of gyro and fries, and a fresh side salad with a light vinaigrette dressing. The gyro plate was so large there were enough leftovers for two more meals! You can definitely tell that everything is made to order and uses fresh ingredients. While there was only one cashier, she was very friendly and our order came out correct. Ambiance is decent, as they have an indoor and outside dining area for patrons. Well known for fantastic wraps, bowls and French fries that rival any other restaurant. This location is where the burger place used to be near Sprouts and a block or so from Home Depot. The sauce they use is overly sweet and the chicken was kinda dry and tasted mid. The pita bread was good and a little thick. The sandwich all together was a 3/10 The beef/Lamb gyro was much better than the chicken and I'm not even a huge fan of beef or lamb. The sandwich was balanced and the onion gave it a fresh kick. 6/10 Their fries are mid. Lacked flavor and was dry. I took my son and wife here for the first time, unfamiliar with the menu. The staff was so patient and kind in explaining the offerings and we ended up getting pita wraps and a souvlaki plate.
