The first thing they asked me for when I arrived was my health insurance card and my $100 co pay. They wouldn't even let me see a nurse or anyone or even walk back to use the bathroom without first getting my $100. Then some LPN takes my vitals. All she noted was my chief complaint is coughing. Even though I told her I had confusion and blurred vision. I get into a room and all the physicians assistant does is listen to my chest and give me meds. She doesnt look in my throat or check my eyes or feel my stomach or my lymph nodes. She then diagnosed me with "chronic cough with unknown cause." ARE YOU SERIOUS?! If I had known I was going to get some med school drop out from night school I would have never allowed them to treat me or take $100 from me. My 2 year old nephew can use a stethoscope!!! When I learned that Dr. Kim was no longer available, I was sad; however, I was fortunate to be connected with Dr. Yeema, who was incredibly sweet. Took over an hour to be seen even though we were 3rd in line. On a Sunday. Mid day. Of course, the doctor was unrushed with us, so he may have been that way with the other folks in front of us. I…read moremade a notification appt on their website that I was on my way, I like others thought it was an appt, but it's actually just a heads up so they know what is incoming & when. There were a few people waiting in the lobby, I checked in with the front desk guy, I asked how long the wait would be and he said there were 8 people ahead of me. I was a little alarmed because my bp was bouncing between 170-180/100's, not safe. So I waited a few minutes and gathered my thoughts and turned and explained to the man, I get their are other people here but my bp is too high to just sit around and wait. So I was quickly brought back and asked what was up and had my bp taken by a very nice and caring man. He agreed it was way too hi to sit around. Then the NP, Regina came in. She said it was too high and she wanted me to go to the er to get the proper care. She wrote out a script and said this would move me to the front if they were busy. She reassured me it was the best solution she had for me. I was grateful I was in and out of there in 10 minutes because their triage system worked and I advocated for myself calmly. Later that evening, around 7 after I returned home from the er and was resting I received a call that said "healthcare." Thinking it was the hospital, I answered and it was NP Regina calling to ck up on me. She said she was worried about me and wanted to make sure I received propert care at the er. I told her what they did and she she was relieved. We wished each other a Happy New Year, and I went back to sleep. This is the first time ever that I felt cared for in a scary er/urgent care sitch. It's not clean at all and the room they put us in was completely bare, minus the exam table and had wallpaper peeling off the wall. The MAs perfume was so strong that I immediately got a headache. MA took my baby's temp orally (after I said she had a fever at home) and didn't even get it all the way in her mouth to get an accurate reading. Then we saw the doctor. No complaints but also nothing good to write about her (except that she did tell me to call with any concerns or questions upon leaving, which I thought was very kind), it was a very quick visit from her. Doc decided my toddler needed a shot of zofran so the MA came in with it. She used the largest needle for it which left a scar and bled a lot. My husband has medical experience and called her out afterwards about the large needle and she said it was necessary to "get thru the muscle" but my child isn't 2 and barely has any thigh muscle. The MA then tried to hug my child which made the toddler freak out even more.

My daughter loved Minnie Mouse so she had on a Minnie Mouse jacket and sneakers so the doctor drew her a fun picture of Minnie Mouse and gave her princess stickers AND coloring pages. My girl left there so happy she even said the doctor is her best friend and wanted to send him "heart hands" Although the flu diagnosis was no fun this visit was pleasant and I'm thankful to have gone as they provided me and my girl a positive experience.

My husband and I were literally 2 of the only people there. When he finally decided to come see me he told me that had some debilitating disease that couldn't be cured and couldn't be helped. He also made sure to let me know that he would only prescribe me over the counter medication and a mild muscle relaxer because a lot of people come in to get pain medication, implying that I was a pill junkie and sent me on my way. I had to go somewhere else to get service and everything the doctor told me was a lie. They sent me a bill for 800 dollars even though I was only seen by the physician and diagnosed for 2 minutes. He didn't look at my shoulder, he wouldn't touch me but somehow was able to conclude a diagnosis. We sat there for 2 and a half hours waiting to be seen even though the entire place was empty. He seemed so bothered by having to deal with me. This place is not minority friendly and I urge you if you are anything other than white go somewhere else. You will die in here. I am extremely dismayed by the downward turn of this office. I am not sure if it is because they are part of Advent Health now and they are to big to manage their practice or if the office just doesn't attract the best Doctors anymore. I know for a fact that the office staff is not as thorough and proactive as they need to be. They called us new patients today, really. (This sentence will sit on its own) After 3 weeks waiting for a follow up appointment for another visit, that was inadequate, the doctor was not there, his schedule changed. That's ok, I get it. Too bad it changed weeks ago and no one told me or rescheduled my sons visit. Too bad I burned vacation time today for nothing. I must identify the positive, Dr. Sehres is amazing and there is another doctor there who is wonderful, his name escapes me. This is not enough to keep me. The specifics aside I will no longer take the kids to the Riverview location because of the RNP and I am actively looking for a new primary care provider as of today.
