I am stunned by the comments written from the one star reviews. Embarrassed to the point of self humiliation with my bottom teeth. I originally received top dentures from Dr. Schmitt and indeed loved her, unlike some reviews I was offered her location if I wanted to see her, but it was just too far away so I opted to make an appointment with a doctor here and I have no regrets. My five stars doesn't mean they were "great", my five stars mean they exceeded my expectations over and over again. Once my courage was up I made the call and surprisinly they got me in the next day. Veronica was incredible, made me feel it was okay to open my mouth and get the work done. Then I had the honor of meeting Dr. Adams .. not only an amazing doctor but his bedside manor was over the top. I was comfortable immediately and within two weeks, my bottom dentures were done. Unfortunately, I'm at the age where doctor visits are common, I have also learned that I am just a patient and once I walk out that door, I am pretty much forgotten until my next appointment. From the office staff to the top notch Dr. Adams they all made me feel like I'm actually a person. They remembered my little quirks and respected them. If you want to have a medical group treat you as such, this is your place. There are no combination of words that could be put together to describe what a difference this experience was for me. Kinda like there really is a medical office in Las Vegas that cares, not because they have to (cause they really don't), but because they want to. I've been going to see Dr. Atwood for 5 years now and he has always been professional, pleasant and make you feel comfortable. He is kind, gentle and patient. Going to the dentist can be a nightmare but here you are in good hands. Some of the services I received were fillings, cleanings, crowns, got ALL my wisdom teeth pulled, teeth whitening and Invasalign. If that doesn't tell you anything, I don't know what will. The office is clean, spacious and the staff are friendly and always willing to help. There is a after hour hotline you can call and there is always someone there to return your call and get you in. I'm back again! I posted a previous review from my initial exam after I came in for an emergency visit and promised I would be back after my extraction procedure to update you all. First of all I had not one but two adjacent bottom back teeth that had to go due to infection and decay and I was so nervous and scared never Had two extractions for teeth next to each other before and felt like it was extreme. DR Atwood was so pleasant and kind he even let me have my sister in the room so she can be there for moral support and hold my hand and talk with me. I have severe PTSD from having 4 indented wisdom teeth extracted on me as a teenager and they were very rough and did not numb me enough then so I was terrified this time around but DR Atwood and his assistant were the best it was quick and the wound is clean healing very nicely ! also super affordable rates 5 stars all around! read more

I'm a wheelchair user in a power chair. Urgent dental accommodates me and my chair wonderfully. They allow me to stay in my chair since I have a tilt and recline feature. I also get very anxious and they don't mind hooking the nitris up for me. Going to the dentist is far from enjoyable but they do a good job making it bearable. I highly recommend Dr. Adams. Hes the 1st and only dentist I've found in vegas who is honest and does solid work. Office staff were very friendly and compassionate initially, but that person isn't there anymore and the lady who took her spot has been nothing but rude to me. Just not a people person. The NEW name is: Enhanced Dental and the office has moved to Warm Springs. 12/06/2023 I needed a crown ASAP and Dr. Aaron Atwood could not do the job in time before my vacation. 12/07/2023 I met with his office manager and she is a real piece of work. She has NO clue what she is doing and the the entire staff is afraid of her and you can see it in their faces. I went in to discuss my billing with her, she didn't know what she was talking about. I caught her in 3 lies when I asked her so show me my billing account. There were names on my Delta Dental account that were NOT even related to my account. I call Delta Dental my provider while in her office and they said I'm the only one on the plan. The data entry she did was incorrect and that was her mistake and she would NOT admit it! 12/15/2023 I called Dr. Atwood and I ask him if he knew any Dentist in the Las Vegas area that could do the crown as a same day repair. He said he did not know of and Dentists in the area (That's B. S.). That's a lie! I knew then after this comment he can't be trusted! 12/19/2023 I sent my Sister in Law over for a bone replacement surgery she was quoted a price just over $1000.00 out of pocket back in early December. When she arrived the price change and it was over $2200.00 for the surgery. They should have honored the price she was quoted. This is a case of Bait and Switch! Remember! This place has become a place I use to like going to and now the place I can't stand. I moved here over a year ago from Chicago so finding a dentist for my 6 months cleaning wasn't easy. I don't recall how I found this place but in the beginning, it was awesome! The past few months have been terrible. First, they always say they will let me know when someone cancels but never do, twice I found out someone canceled and never gave me a ring. When 6 months after my last cleaning came, they called me and told me they were canceling my appointment because the hygienist was sick. The lady was about to hang up and I stopped her, I said aren't you going to reschedule me? She said she cannot because they're booked several months away. Several months came, time for the next cleaning that I booked in advance, they called me today to tell me that they're canceling again. I couldn't take this unprofessionalism anymore so I responded; "This is now the second time in a row that you all have done this sh**!" and I hung up. I was really looking forward to this cleaning because I have another issue I wanted them to see, my gums are now swollen and tingling and because they keep canceling on me, I'm not getting the patient care that I need. My co-worker has given me information about his dentist that in my area and it's time for me to part ways from this place. You have one hygienist on duty but it's obvious you need to hire more. the basics of supply and demand! read more

My son had 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Atwood. When my son showed me the removed teeth I found that one had a huge chunk of my sons jaw attached to it. The chunk of bone is 1/2 and inch long. It's not a small piece. I was obviously upset. So I called the Dr. Here is an excerpt of convo: "Ma'am what are you so concerned with?" "Sir, if you have chipped off a chunk of my sons jaw, I have no guarantee that that chip is not a fracture." "Ma'am, I have been doing this for many years I know that that is not the case." "No, Sir. You THINK you don't KNOW. You have not taken an x-ray. There is no way for you to know... you THINK. There is a vast difference between the two things." "Well Ma'am, would you like it if your son came back tomorrow for an x-ray?" "Yes Sir. Yes I most definitely would. By the way, that should be your standard practice whenever you break off a big chunk of a person's jaw. You should reassure your patient. Take an x-ray to KNOW that there is no fracture. Instead of sweeping it under the rug and acting shocked when people are rightly upset by being presented with a hunk of their child's jaw laying in the palm of their hand." Don't be afraid of getting your teeth cleaned! This place is excellent! Even though the name makes it sounds like it's for emergencies, they do regular cleaning here too! They have a new portable x-ray gun and it takes x-rays electronically in a snap! Sherrie cleaned my teeth. She was thorough, but gentle. She wore glasses and a mask, and no face shield, which I thought was odd. I mean if I was a hygienist, I'd want to protect my face from Covid germs! They ask you to come in when it's your appointment time, and you call before you walk inside. They are not polishing teeth because she said it sprays everywhere. I thought that was weird, because I feel like the plaque pic sprays even worse! So not polished, but clean teeth! read more

Cracked a wisdom tooth, needed it pulled and already visited another dentist who gave me a high quote even with insurance. I contacted Urgent Dental who fit me in within a couple days. Everyone was extremely friendly and Dr. Atwood was hilarious and put me at ease. He was very straight to the point, I asked for him to also remove the other wisdom tooth I had and he said it would happen. The estimate was much better, they had both teeth out gently and I was in and out of the office within an hour. Will definitely be going back for routine dental and referring to them! Still came in even though the terrible photo/review and I'm glad I did. Dr Atwood is so kind and helpful. I told him about my anxiety around local anesthesia and he took extra time to explain other options to me. He has to be one of the most patient kind dentist I've ever met. My husband and I ended up getting the in house dental insurance which is an amazing deal, 2 people $288 (for 1 year) for 2 cleaning / visit each and 30% off other treatments. Ive had dental prints done today and the assistant were so sweet and professional, she used Vaseline on my lips and her paste was perfect consistency which did not drip down my throat as it always does else where. Front desk was super nice and helpful and btw the visit is cheaper than other places and they didn't force me to get X-rays like everywhere else. Overall a great experience. Dr. Atwood is a life savor. He saw me last minuet this morning when I had spent the night in excruciating pain unable to sleep from what turned out to be badly infected roots. He saw me at 8am this morning and did two root canals. He is so gentle and kind and skillful. Anytime I have an issue he's willing to help as soon as he can and is very experienced. They only care about money and not your time. 6 future appointments they scheduled, or tried to schedule. I told them, I'm a middle class working American, I don't have time for that. They try to schedule your cleanings in sections, upper right, lower right, upper left, lower left. That's four appointments alone. That's unacceptable. I don't know if they do this to gobble up copays or what. But it's ridiculous. They scheduled one of my cavities to be filled WAY out in June. Unacceptable. They finally called me and said they had a cancellation for 4/20 at 11am. I make it to my appointment and low and behold they're running behind. Offered to reschedule for another day. Unacceptable. I've already taken time off work, again you're wasting my time. I eventually just asked for my dental records and I'm going elsewhere. This office is beyond a nightmare. He's rude, quick to judge, and uses his authority to belittle and defend himself, he's never at fault ...in my situation even the staff knew my work was shit and guess what y"ep nobody in until next Friday" ...I was there on Saturday so not only did I wait 6 days it's a week after Saturday AND still no call ... it's okay i went to California and got it right.. the reviews I've read that are any good are for the front desk. ... and they're great! The absolute worst. Upcharge, upcharge, upcharge. From the moment you walk in. $53 co-pay for a cleaning that lasted...I'm not kidding...15 minutes. The practitioner told me they do cleanings in sections. She merely fiddled around for a spell and did not go into my gumline. WTF??? First time I've seen this. I have a Phobia of dental work since childhood when the town dentist pulled my tooth without anesthesia. It traumatized me for life. I've had some other bad experiences with dentists, so consequently I avoid dentists as much as I can. I can't even have my teeth cleaned without anesthesia. I have new Health Insurance - United Health and I am required to go to their providers. I broke a tooth and did not have a dentist. On a Tuesday I asked for a list of providers. They provide me with 25 dentists. I called the first dentist because the practice is near me. Because it was an emergency, they took me the next day. This is where I met Dr. Joanna Schmitt with Urgent Dental. She listened to what I was saying. She gave me several options as to what to do. She suggested Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) to relax me and to help with the pain. Dr. Schmitt removed the tooth and we're going to do a Bridge in the next few weeks. Dr. Schmitt is amazing. She was compassionate and caring. I enjoyed our conversation. It was very cool that there is a TV in the ceiling so I could watch Netflix. A genius idea for distraction. My husband had an emergency and we were referred to Urgent Dental. After seeing Dr Schmidt, that's the only dentist he wanted to see. She is awesome and we both love her. She's very good and we know that's why Urgent Dental is so successful. Yesterday 09/28/22, I had an emergency so I got an appointment for 09/29/22. When I was waiting to see her, another dentist came in and I was told she no longer worked there, I wanted to walk out but like I said earlier, it was an emergency so I let him look at my tooth. I was not impressed with the male Dr. and will not be returning. I will find out where Dr. Schmidt is and follow her to her next adventure. She was the heart and sole of Urgent Dental and I'm sure that's why there are so many people that went there.
