I believe UHC's system was down (from an insurance verification perspective), so the staff had to manually complete the verification process. That said, the intake staff was pleasant, considerate and friendly. We went in for COVID testing for my elderly mother, which was pretty straightforward. They checked her blood pressure, oxygen levels, and completed the nasal swab rather immediately after we were escorted back to the exam room. Test results were provided within less than 10 minute period which was great. The nurse who administered the test was patient, kind, and friendly. The interior could definitely use some freshening, it's a bit aged but overall serves the intended purpose. This urgent care brand is owned and operated by Emory Healthcare, their care providers are pretty solid in my opinion.

I went to this urgent care yesterday with an appointment and left feeling worse than when I came…read morein. I had a high fever (102.3), body aches, chills, cough--just overall in very bad shape. They took my vitals and tested me for COVID and the flu. After waiting a long time, the doctor came back and said, "I don't know what's going on." He told me it seemed like I had the flu, but the test "wasn't working." His words: sometimes the tests "don't work" or "aren't good," so they don't tell you what you actually have. Completely unhelpful. On top of that, even with such a high fever, I was never offered anything for relief--not Tylenol, not Motrin, nothing. When I asked, he admitted he didn't even know where the pills were. He was completely alone in the building since the receptionist and assistant had already left for the night. I specifically asked him to send my prescription quickly because the pharmacy was about to close. He told me it was sent. I got home only to find out the pharmacy never received anything. I tried calling the urgent care back immediately, but no one answered--they were already closing, and he was the only person there. So I wasted my time, drove while feeling awful, got no proper treatment, no medication, and spent the entire night suffering with a high fever. This urgent care is completely disorganized, unreliable, and unsafe. I will never go back.

Zero stars. I've never seen such a mischaracterization of symptoms by a healthcare professional in…read moremy life. I brought my daughter in for what was either congestion due to RSV, or congestion due to bad seasonal allergies. The front desk person relayed what we said to the NP and what came back to us was the most absurd thing i've ever heard. Without doing any diagnostics or taking any kind of inventory on the state of my child who was there on their own volition, the NP took zero measures to evaluate a true need of care--where she instead focused on what the front desk person said and came back to us saying they didn't have the ability diagnose or treat my daughter and that we needed to elevate go for imaging at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. My daughter's congestion was nowhere near that level of sickness and my daughter did not have any of the characteristics that the NP relayed back to us via her characterization of symptoms--She would. not. listen, was argumentative, and basically turned us away. I've never seen anything like this. When we ultimately left, I came back completely blown away by the situation and asked for an explanation of WTF just happened and she still went on about imaging at CHOA vs accepting our appointment and doing due any dilligence. She ultimately asked me to check back in, in which, in a wild turn of events, the desk person left for lunch and the NP closed her door. When I knocked on her door she said she was magically on lunch too and would be available at 1. We had a 12:15 appointment setup online!!! Something is way off with this healthcare "professional" or they were motivated by other factors. We basically went next door to an urgent care, explained the same description of symptoms, and recieved what I would consider is a nonimal level of care and inquiry which lead to a z-pack script, advise to use some Flonase, and to continue cold medicine to alleviate symptoms. The lady from Kroger Little Clinic was argumentative and dead set on not administering care that was well within her diagnostic ability and prescribing power. NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS. Oh, except for the prior time where she argued that my poison ivy rash which I've had over 20 times across my life....get this... didn't look like poison ivy. Will not ever go back. Do not go here seeking care.
