Urgent care cannot diagnose things beyond flu, covid, and other basic illnesses. They told me they couldn't do anything for me and to just go to the ER. They charge $30 upfront. After the appt, they sent another bill for $156. My low rating is to due to being charged $200 for a useless appt. Like most of US healthcare, they are a business.

I was "diagnosed" with a sciatic problem but with some prescription the pain could be eased. When the time to wrap up came she left and sent the Medical Assistant to inform me that a urine sample of was needed to discard a kidney infection, but I was not able to provide such sample at that moment, so I offered her to give me a recipient so I did not need to wait there all the time. The answer was that I needed to wait for a decision on that. After 20 minutes the Assistant physician came back and told me that my option was accepted. I asked if she had sent the prescription to my pharmacy but the answer was no. She needed to complete the visit once I came back with the sample. One hour later, I was able to produce the sample she asked for and her verdict was that no kidney infection was found in their lab. So I asked why she did not send the prescription before since the sciatic problem, I could have gotten the medication and taken it but in the meantime the my excruciating pain did not ease. To confirm, I asked if she was a Dr because I am not sure about what her title meant. She replied three times with the same question, that I asked to confirm that I had not been cared for by a physician. She got very upset and told me that a report was going to be filled with her physician and left the room.I left after her and asked what was going to happen with the prescription and the answer was that since I am leaving there is no prescription to be filled. The paperwork when you check in is full of repeated questions, even in the same page on one of the forms. That process cost me 20 minutes. The assessment performed for the diagnostic some other 20 minutes plus another 20 waiting for the approval of my plan to do not wait in the office. All that time, since 0930AM till noon and came back home with the same pain and threat to fill up a report just because that person probably realized that something was not done the right way. Won't be there and won't recommend this office.

They utilized this opportunity to charge us with unwanted preventive care services. tests came in and they asked us to set up an appointment. we learned that later that they are charging $100+ for me & wife separately. but we were not told ahead of time that we will be charged. Its very easy for anyone to read the test results and could have avoided this. Some of the staff doesn't even know English. We got the surprising bill manipulating as different services. they suggested like you can do this at home yourself but then keep saying we can quickly take care of it here, never disclosed anything about how much they will charge us. In this economy people are finding really hard time to find a job. how hard is to tell them we charge this much for this service. so that we can decide if we want to do it or not. I have gone to CVS minute clinic at Post Road many times. Today was a very different experience than I have had in the past. First, I had to wait and then go in with a lady (I did not get her name) who did not wash her hands or wear gloves after emptying the specimens that were in the testing machines before taking my daughter's temp and bp!!! Then I was sent back out to the waiting room and had to wait for the NP to call us back. This was different than in the past, but okay. The NP was Steven Hammond. He lacks any kind of bedside manner (I mean I didn't expect much, but he obviously hates life). He kept his back to us when taking information and never made any kind of eye contact. After being seen by Steven Hammond and waiting for 1 hour and 40 minutes for a RX in CVS, I went back to Steven for a physical RX. He said he would call in a RX at a different pharmacy. Seeing as they were about to close I asked him to print/write a paper copy of the RX so I could physically walk it in to the other pharmacy instead of calling it in. He printed a summary of my report, not an RX. I told him that was not what I was asking for. He acted confused and said, "I don't know what you want. I don't even have a piece of paper." I told him I would wait for him to call in the RX so that I could have a confirmation number for the pharmacy. He looked at me confused again. He said, "Yes, I will call it in." I again told him I would wait to confirm that the new pharmacy had the RX. He said, "Do you not believe me?" I told him I had had past issues with CVS minute clinic not getting the RX to a pharmacy that wasn't CVS. I told him I would wait while he called it in. He said, "you can leave." I told him I would go to the other pharmacy and if they didn't have it in an hour I would come back to CVS again for him to call it in. Then he asked me if I was threatening him! Really??? I explained that I had been waiting at this point 2 hours and I wanted to make sure my daughter was going to get her meds that he prescribed before we left town the next morning. He proceeded to shut the door in my face! The three other people waiting in the clinic just shook their heads. They agreed they had had nothing but problems with the minute clinic at Post Road and the CVS pharmacy at Post Road and that corporate CVS didn't care. It is sad that people who work in such a profession with the attitudes of those at CVS have the control of someone's health. It shouldn't be hard to be courteous when you work with the public.

Mr Syed Nayer is only an FNP who received his degree from an online university. His clinical competence was suspect. He showed up over 1/2 hour late to the appoinment and acutally hung up on me during a telehealth visit. In my opinion, they did not follow the kind of standard clinical practices I would expect. I would not recommend them and would suggest looking somewhere else for care.
