Was provided an emergency stent in ER By Dr Saltstein this past Wednesday 7/17/25 never saw a doc from Urology SA after procedure my doc is Dr Patel never heard from him or the office either ... was told by hospital doctors the doc office would contact me to schedule 2nd surgery I was released from Hospital on Thursday 7/18/26. I called doctors office that day and phones were down.. hospital nurse complained they had a hard time getting through as well .. sadly I ended up back at the ER yesterday due to increased spasms since I was released with no pain meds or direction on how to handle things that was my only choice since my pain levels were high along with other symptoms that were concerning .. I did leave message with Cristina on Friday who is the coordinator for the Dr Patel and since I have not heard back, called again today as instructed by emergency room after release this am 7/22/26 and still no call back. The fact that they performed a surgical procedure and no one has contacted me or checked on me since procedure is crazy and now I feel like I have no choice but to wait and keep going back to ER if I can't manage my pain at home ... which is expensive and horrible a very horrible way to treat a patient. I have never had such bad customer service at a doctor's office in my life. Trying to get thru to them requires listening to recordings for 5 minutes or more and then being put on hold for 10 more minutes and then leaving a message. Once I am finally able to talk to someone, they don't seem to know what they are doing. Several times, they said that they would call me back and never did. They were in network and said they would order the supplies and set up an appointment to have a procedure and I never heard from them. When I finally got thru to them, they said they were no longer in network but were working on getting back in and would call me when they did. After waiting several months again, they said that I would need to get a referral from my PCP even though it had already all been set up. They don't seem to know what they are doing and I lost all confidence. I called Alamo Urology and they were very professional and got me in the next day. I wasted over 6 months dealing with Urology SA. I will never go there again. read more

I have been coming here for 9 years. My doctor is extremely thorough and is personable. Everyone here has been very kind and helpful. From the lab, the front desk and the nurses. They cured my cancer. I recommend Dr. John Case if your looking for a urologist. He is easy to talk to. read more

My husband had a horrible vasectomy experience with Dr. Saltzstein. One nurse was shadowing and we were not asked if we were okay having her in the room. She made us feel extremely uncomfortable, did not seem to know what she was doing. The new nurse and the head nurse only talked to each other, making it feel very uncomfortable. Completely ignored us. Left my husband exposed for 20 minutes, not giving him a cover, while coming and going out of the room. When Dr. Saltzstein came in, chatted nicely. When it came to numb with a shot, my husband was not fully numb and verbally said he could feel it, when he started cutting. He was in horrific pain. Dr told my husband he heard a lot of moaning. Which my husband replied this was extremely painful. He did not care at all that his patient was in pain. The nurses after the procedure, who kept calling herself the vas queen, were unprofessional. There is a mirror against the wall, so I can see their faces as they exit the room. The two nurses started laughing at my husband as they left the room. Terrible, unprofessional nurses and Dr. Saltzstein. We are telling as many people as possible to not go here. No one should under go surgery without being numbed properly. read more

Absolutely horrendous customer service in the scheduling department. Was given incorrect information and was given my results a numerous of times they have accounting and billing issues and they are just horrible at customer service they hang up on you multiple times. Most of their patients are elderly I can't imagine what this place is putting these patients through. Had an appointment on 5/25 and still haven't gotten my medication because they don't know how to do their job. Only thing good about this place is the doctor themselves they need to rehire a new scheduling and billing department. read more

Was referred here by my doctor to have my husband come and get tested. What a nightmare.. we have been dealing with them for 7 months after doing a procedure that they told us was COVERED before it even happened. All the sudden we are getting noticed from Quest about it not being covered? Insurance needs one simple thing from them and for some reason they said they've sent it or they don't have it (depends on who you talk to the story is always different). The front office and telephone operator(s) are the worse I have ever dealt with. If I didn't think so highly of my doctor, I would never return, and I have been going there for years, and NOTHING has changed. From being sent home (an hour one way) because I was 5 minutes past an imposed 15 minute deadline where they cancel your appointment (and by the way...I have NEVER been late for an appointment, but have waited up to 2 Hours when I have been on time), to being told I had to "reschedule" my appointment (another 2 hour round trip wasted..do you think they could have called me?) when they had over 3 weeks to get insurance approval, but someone waited too long to call my insurance for MRI approval and then MIRACULOUSLY was able to get the approval in 6 days, to waiting in line 7 people deep to check out when 3 other staff were "chatting" in the corner. The office staff cares NOTHING about the patients and it shows every time I visit. And calling for an appointment? Forget it. You can easily wait 30 minutes listening to their lame commercials about how great they are. And lastly, don't bother when they send you a survey on "how did we do?", no response, no surprise....Good Luck! read more

Dr. Michael White was extremely professional and showed care as he walked me through my health issues and my options for further diagnosis. This location is a smooth running operation which handles many patients every day. I have been a Urology SA customer for 14 years and they have made remarkable changes within the past five years. Dr. Patricia Terry is an intelligent and understanding doctor. She is experienced in multiple modalities to help her patients. I honestly Cannot give this office a rating. They score a 0 for me. Dr. Meissner was extremely rude and inconsiderate. My mother had an appointment and for the second time was asked to reschedule because she was 1 minute late. This is ridiculous and awful to see the type of bedside manners that this doctor had. The appointment system is pretty terrible. To confirm my appointment, I missed robo-calls resulting in VMs saying they'd try me back in a few hours because they wanted "to speak with [me] personally" (ha!). When I tried to call back, I selected option 2 in the phone tree, a recording told me I was being tranferred, then the call was cut off. I remembered this fun loop from my first visit...it was a struggle to reach a human, so I gave up on confirming my appointment. Other services have nifty systems that allow me to text back YES or CONFIRM, which seems a lot more efficient for everyone involved. But maybe the main demographic for a Urology clinic isn't big on the textin'...? BEYOND the hellscape of initial appointment making & confirmation is a crack team of friendly, funny, and efficient healthcare professionals...and Dr. Patricia Terry, who is a busy woman, but a badass up to the task: I like a geeky doc who gives it to me straight; I don't mind if it takes less than 5 minutes to transact our business if I feel I've gotten the expertise I'm paying for (ok, let's not get literal and discuss actual cost, which is going to be different for all of us, isn't it?). Both my visits with Dr. Terry were short and sweet: she laid some science & truth on me, I confirmed I understood, then we parted with smiles. It's the quality of the exchange that counts: did you know squeezing lemon juice in your water is not only refreshing, but also good for your kidneys?? Dr. Terry dropped that on me when I lamented loving caffeinated beverages and fresh spinach (which help to cause kidney stones in those of us prone)...months and many coffees & salads later, my labs show happy kidneys! And I didn't have to do anything weird or gross or expensive to perk those babies up: LEMONS. Fortunately my follow-up cleared me for now...but when I need a urologist in the future, I know who to see. I'll refer back to this review to remind me how much I like Dr. Terry if the appointment system is still stuck in the 90s. read more

Booking appointments is frustrating; when you call in there's an automated system that tells you to press XYZ for your doctor and then it rings only for someone to ask who and what you're calling for? When you say appointments they ask you to hold and place you back on hold. The on-hold system they tells you that someone will be with you shortly which is only fun until you realize this repeats every 2 minutes and you've been on hold for 30 minutes. Please fix your phone systems. "Grade: D" In terms of promptness they generally move customers throughout the day so you're pretty much in and out with little to no wait time. "Grade: A" Staff is courteous and Dr. Graham has a good beside manner and tries to spend time with me; I understand he's incredibly busy and I think he truly does the best with the time he's allocated. It is rare to find a medical facility that can tout the following: 1. Highly professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable doctor, such as Dr. Patricia Terry. Dr. Terry had four options for me to resolve my issues. Her work was thorough and completely on target. I had been to a number of doctors for the past 7 years, and she is the first one who not only got to the bottom of the issue but also provided ideas on other ancillary problems. 2. Next to Dr. Terry, I was blown away by the unique skills of the Physical Therapist who specializes in women's pelvic issues. Carissa is OUTSTANDING. She is a wealth of knowledge and incredibly attuned to the patient's discomfort and concerns. Her supporting staff is also exemplary. 3. Last but not least, this is one of the best managed facilities I have experienced. The front desk is efficient and courteous. I cannot say enough about how thrilled I have been to be in the hands of such highly trained and skilled professionals. read more

4/20/2019 Doctor Daniel Saltzstein is very good, but the billing department is terrible. I have been trying to get my bill straightened out for nearly a year, but cannot get it resolved. I send letters to the billing office, but get no response. I have called and I am placed on hold. The wait time is awful. When I have been able to talk with them they ask me to send them an email with attached documentation. I have done that, but get no reply. I have cancelled my last visit in December because of the billing problem. I am being treated for prostate cancer, but I guess I will have to let mother nature take its course as I cannot take the billing problems. read more

I started going to the Stone Oak location in February 2018, but was seeing the same doctor at his previous practice at another location for some time. The staff are very friendly, and normally I'm seen within a reasonable time after arrival. The self checkin is a plus. read more

I should mention first of all that I've not yet had the need to call to make an appointment, so I don't know whether that particular procedure is still as difficult as some reviewers have mentioned. But I did have a procedure done at this office recently, and I have to say that I did not have to wait more than five minutes after my appointment time to be called back, and then did not have to wait long for the arrival of the technicians who'd be conducting the procedure. I was somewhat nervous about the procedure, since I knew it was going to involve various tubes being inserted into various of my orifices, but thanks to Jenny and Monica's skills and encouragement, the whole shebang turned out to be a lot less traumatic that I'd though it was going to be. So, many thanks to Jenny and Monica and to the people who hired them. :) read more

I been going for close to a year, Dr. Daniel Saltztein is a great doctor but his staff, the ladies that are on the desk and check you in are the worst customer service I have seen. They make you an appointment and you arrive on time and when they call you after 45 minutes waiting they tell you that your appointment is canceled. Other time they check me in and the lady that attended me forgot to notify the nurse, so I sat there for an hour until I went to her and she didn't even apologize. To bad for a good doctor to have terrible staff working for him. I am not going back. read more

After having the urodynamics procedure performed in the Stone Oak office, two days later I developed a major U T I which required a visit to the Baptist ER, Chills, fever 102 urinalysis confirmed UTI. IV with major antibiotics, Went home and Monday called the office 3 times for Dr White and Dr Graham, requested a return call, today is Wednesday no calls received. The facility is clean, well organized and the staff friendly and helpful. I saw the doctor, had lab work done and a thorough physical examination for my condition. The follow up visit was as efficient as the first. My only concern is that communication broke down between them and my primary provider and I had to follow up to have the results sent. read more

Dr. Graham is knowledgeable, caring, and interested in what I have to say. He is not quick to suggest surgery or just hand out a prescription. He tries to get to the root cause and suggests modalities to cure it. His staff is excellent in following up. It is so nice to have a doctor who cares for me and not treat me like a number. This place is NOT Covid-ready. It is disgusting actually. They are using a "touch-screen" pad to sign in, and it had a thousand fingerprints all over it...even though they have tons of folks sitting at a desks. And, instead of having folks wait in their cars until the staff is truly ready for you, they have folks sitting in their nasty lobbies (two of them) where every other seat is block...leaving TWO feet of space at best instead the recommended SIX FEET! They also have folks coming in and out sitting one behind the other with no means of disinfecting the chairs in which they sit. People had on masks, but no one was wearing gloves so folks are touching everything and moving around from chair to chair. Meanwhile, the staff sits in their protected spaces leaving patients to pretty much fend for themselves. The doctor did not even examine me, which meant we could have just used telehealth! I now feel like I have to quarantine myself just from visiting this place!!! And despite what was said in their reply, neither car waiting service, contact-less payments, nor another way to check in other than that nasty touch screen was offered. I asked!! The folks were either too lazy to do it differently or not set up to do so! read more

Dr. Saltzstein and Stone Oak location are wonderful. The staff are friendly and professional, and the wait to see the doctor has been better than most. Dr. S really cares, and even made a personal phone call to me when I was hesitant to move forward on a procedure because I was too busy at work and was leaving on vacation. He convinced me of the importance of taking care of my health prior to leaving town, and I really appreciated his personal concern. read more

I had surgery last week at their outpatient surgery center, and the follow up care, as well as the total experience at the surgery center was excellent. Dr. Patricia Terry and her NP, Heather Bridgeford, have given me back my life. I suffer from IC and have severe flare ups occasionally; they are quick to respond and give me hope that, once again, we can get this under control. Dr. Terry is always researching the newest treatments to discuss with her patients; I have never felt that I didn't have her undivided attention. Heather's bedside manner lets me know that there is a solution and we will find it together. I highly recommend Dr. Terry, Heather, and Urology SA for the best care around! read more

My warning to every patient would be watch your billing carefully! I have insurance but my deductible is rather high. So, I would rather pay in cash. Apparently this is an odd concept to this clinic. After my visit the billing window informed me my total was $55.00 dollars. I provided the clerk $60.00 dollars. She stated the had no change, and they would " add it to my next visit bill". Being I would unlikely visit again, I decided this was an acceptable loss because my bill was paid in full. This is where it gets interesting: To add insult to injury; 30 days later I received a bill from the clinic for $140.00 which the deducted the 60 dollars I already paid them (strange, because they owed me 5 dollars when I left the clinic). Then, the bill states the clinic is charging me $15.00 for a urinalysis dipstick. Sorry but, nowhere on this planet does that dipstick cost 15 bucks. (A box of 1,000 might cost 15 dollars). What is also perplexing would be that I am being charged for 20 minutes with the doctor when I just talked with him for 9 minutes. My opinion: if this is the medical billing system, at its finest, this country is in real trouble. A person can't even pay his bill in full in cash. My advice: stay away from this clinic if you are a person who pays your bill upfront. They will double bill you. Or overcharge you Don't walk, run away ! read more
