My appointment took place at their old Babcock Rd location before they moved to San Pedro RD. When I scheduled, I was specifically informed I would be seen by Dr. Wong. Upon arriving, Dr. Wong introduced himself, briefly reviewed my X-rays, and then immediately asked me if another dentist could take over before abruptly leaving. The other dentist introduced himself and proceeded with the examination and assessment. The lack of transparency or respect for my choice of provider was unacceptable. The office also conducted two sets of X-rays, a Panoramic and a comprehensive one which seemed like overkill when a simple bite-wing may have been more appropriate for basic diagnostics. In context, this action raised my suspicion about prioritizing billable services. Especially since neither X-rays were covered by my insurance. I was also not given clear information about the practice being Out-Of-Network (OON) when I asked about insurance coverage. The aggressive financial approach was evident immediately. Before consenting the cleaning service, and while I was still sitting in the examination chair, Larissa in billing approached me. She asked if I wanted to pay for the cleaning then or afterward, even offering to bring the payment system right to the dental chair. After my initial visit, on a phone call, Larissa in billing informed me that the office requires full payment up front for necessary dental work (fillings) before they would even schedule the appointment. This is the first dental office I have encountered that demands payment upfront simply to book a future appointment for dental work.

You cannot get hold of the doctors office. You are calling a general phone tree number that nobody picks up, just transfers you. One time I was on hold for over an hour and a half and they finally they cut me off!! Impossible to get hold of to make an appointment or talk to your doctor's office. We're ready to go elsewhere!

Dr. Brostrom redid it all for me. Within the first week after my surgery with Dr. Brostrom, my back was visibly flat, butt looked AMAZING and so did my stomach! Go see her, talk to her, she takes time with you and takes GREAT care of you! She made me feel as if she cared about me personally and you'll see what I mean when you decide to go on with your procedure. No regrets and it was all worth it. I went in for what I thought would be a straightforward chin implant surgery, but after three surgeries (the original procedure and two revisions), the results were still disastrous. I ended up paying upwards of $6,000 to have the implant removed at another clinic because I couldn't trust New Image any longer. While they offered to remove it for free after the second revision, I couldn't imagine being on their operating table for a fourth time--especially not with my current face staring back at me in the mirror every day. I want to be clear--I'm not writing this out of anger, but out of sadness and frustration. I trusted New Image to help me, and they fell short at every turn. The office and nursing staff were kind and attentive, but that doesn't change the fact that the surgeon dismissed my concerns - repeatedly - even when the issues were apparent from the very first surgery. I know the clinic will undoubtedly try to discredit my claims or mention I did not attend all of my follow-up appointments or that I'm misrepresenting things in some way (bc of course they will, this is their livelihood), but I want to clarify that this only happened after my concerns were repeatedly - repeatedly - ignored. By that point, I had completely lost faith in their ability to address my concerns. My complaints were repeatedly brushed off as unrealistic, even though they were offering to do revisions for free at the same time; it's hard to trust a provider who dismisses your concerns while simultaneously acknowledging the need for corrections. For anyone who might think this review is an exaggeration or misrepresentation, I want to be transparent. I have detailed documentation of my experience, including recordings with transcripts of follow-up appointments, a CT scan from 1 year after the second revision, and surgery notes from the surgeon I paid to remove it. If anyone is considering using this clinic and would like to see this documentation, I would be happy to share it privately. I simply want others to have all the facts before making such an important decision. I regret ever stepping through their doors, and I hope no one else has to go through what I've experienced. Please, if you're considering plastic surgery, do your research thoroughly and don't just trust the sales pitch. The consequences of choosing the wrong provider can be devastating.

I went to a dentist occassionally, but there is no better place than Smiles of Bulverde. Dr. Malagayo and her assistants made sure I was comfortable during my procedures. I was in no pain. Which made it really affordable for me. I know it's something small but I really like how they use these sponges in your mouth for x rays. It makes the experience so much more comfortable. When you get in the seat for cleaning you are offered glasses for the light. They also always have something on tv for you while you're getting cleaned. All in all a great experience!
