First of all I live in Harlem and we drove all the way to Brooklyn on a cold rainy windy Saturday morning and it was worth it. The food was delicious and the pastries were delicious as well. I got the juice and that was very flavorful but I think for $7 for a small cup was bit much. Now the breakfast burrito was perfect the hash browns inside and the chorizo were the perfect balance. There was a wait for about 15 minutes to get the food but it was hot and the burrito had a crispy exterior which made this the perfect burrito. I will definitely be back. I also ordered the guava pop tart guava which was also amazing and the chocolate concha which was so soft. I was never able to make it to The Awkward Scone when I was living closer to it due to my work schedule, but when Eric See opened up this place last Fall, I started frequenting it immediately. I'd been eyeing the address after reading about Lani Halliday opening a bake shop here, so I was a little confused when Ursula popped up, but soon realized I could get both burritos and Brutus Bakeshop treats all within blocks of home! I've brought several friends here for burritos since I can actually make it there before noon these days. I'll be sad when I'm working in an office again, so far from this breakfast goodness. I've tried so many of the baked goods too--from Lani'a pop tarts and cookies/sticky buns to Eric's lemon cake. I've never been disappointed. I hope to make it here for the chicken sandwich soonish. While I did like the breakfast burritos here more than at Ceremonia's, I still found them very underwhelming. The bacon is better than the chorizo but not by much. They are both pretty bland and definitely need some acidity. I wish they would provide a salsa on the side as there is hardly any chiles in the burrito itself. I also tried ordering the Pride Rainbow Cake Brioche Donut for delivery twice to no avail. The first time it wasn't included at all and the second time they gave me the Pineapple Glaze. If you live in the area I can see heading over here for a quick bite or as a space to read a book in the early morning hours. I trekked all the way from queens to try it. They have ample seating outside and for 9:30 am they had quite a few people waiting for their orders. I grabbed a latte and ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito. It took about 25 mins to get my order and they brought it out to me. The latte was not the best but provided the caffeine boost I needed to wait for my burrito. It's definitely a good size and fully loaded. The actual taste is pretty decent but I expected it to have a bit more seasoning ... maybe some salt. I also wasn't able to differentiate between the potatoes and the chorizo in terms of flavor. The eggs were really quite good. I wish it had come with some sort of salsa or sauce on the side as that would have significantly elevated the flavors. This review is only for the arroz con leche: Delicious. Definitely very sweet. Which I like. The staff is nice. I was waiting for the rice and one of them said over the PA, "if anyone wants a free iced oat milk latte, I accidentally made one." I took it. It was pretty. And not too sweet. Yum, I'm literally eating this right now and yum. Let me start by saying I am heat adverse. I don't like hot/spicy food and as an African i get clowned for it daily. I got the bacon burrito without cheese and had to ask for light on the Chile. Everything taste fresh. After the first bite i was sold. The donut was lovely. Recommend Ursula's but with some caveats. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito, and it was very good and filling enough, and not too expensive. Wish it was spicier or spicy-modifiable. Decided to check this place out as it's one neighborhood over from my place. As soon as I stepped in I knew this experience would be a disaster. Outside there was a crowd of people and I assumed they were waiting for a table. I went to the counter and asked to put my name down. The woman was very visibly overwhelmed and shared that the day was especially hectic. After being told it was a 30 min wait for a table and that the bartender was too swamped to take drink orders (while 80% of the tables and bar seating were empty) we opted to order take out. We thought the wait would be 15-20 mins but we proceeded to wait 45 mins. Why the wait? We are unsure because it takes about 2 mins to cook 2 eggs. The burrito absolutely did not merit the wait. My bro suggested this spot. I was super excited and even okay with standing in line with the rest of (new) Brooklyn on a weekend morning. We both ordered chorizo burritos. We were both disappointed by the lack of kick. The ingredients were good in terms of quality but there was really no flavor. And for the hype of a breakfast burrito, that's unacceptable. Chipotle has more flavor. I won't be visiting again anytime soon, unless someone who enjoys this spot pulls me along. Unfortunately, it was not a one-off -- it is the norm because the kitchen is just very slow. Most recently, I came for lunch around 3:30pm - I was literally the only person there. Ordered the green chili burger and a horchata - still somehow waited 30 minutes even though there was no one before or after me. For a while I thought they might have lost my order. Word on the steeet is that this place has the best breakfast burritos in Brooklyn. After arriving in NYC, we ubered to our AirBNB and our friends to-go'd us some food. My friend suggested we return the next morning to actually try the burritos out. We went on a Friday morning - there was about 10-15 minute wait. When we ordered, we did a large group order so they did warn us that it'll take around 25-30 minutes. We got the bacon burrito and the chorizo burrito, and I also got a pine needle mocha. The place is really small. Pretty much no indoor seating at all, and it was too cold to eat outside. The pine needle mocha was pretty good. I wanted cold but they suggest I get hot and it was really flavorful. The burritoes were also really good. I'm not sure if it would be the best, but I don't have too much insight on other breakfast burritoes at Brooklyn. Was so excited to try the vegan burrito after waiting 30 minutes in the cold rain. Unfortunately, it turned out to be really spicy - I should have read the ingredients more carefully. It includes green AND red chile and I couldn't taste the hashbrowns and beans on account of it being so hot. Since I couldn't eat it I gave it to my mom who loves spice and even she thought it was too hot. In my original post I said I thought it would be better if the spice had been toned down with something like lettuce, sour cream or guacamole and the owner. The owner then explained this would not be traditional New Mexican cuisine (see comment below), which I admit and apologize for being ignorant of. (For the record the owner also posted a post on Instagram with a screenshot of my comment to publicly shame me). Delicious little spot! (With some room for improvement) The good: 1. Chile is amazing and authentic. I used to live in New Mexico and this totally hits the spot, better than any other place I'm aware of in the city. 2. Love all the gluten-free options! There's a gluten-free bun, the option of getting any of the burritos as a bowl, and several gf baked goods. The less-good: 1. Definitely plan for a wait (at least if you're going prime weekend times). On a Sunday around 11am, I waited around 20 min for drinks and an additional 20 for food. Obviously they've got a small kitchen and the popularity speaks for itself, but operationally I think there are probably improvements that could be made. Ex. there was no wait to place an order, so if the cashier spent more time in barista mode, it would have been nice to get the drinks sooner while we were waiting in the heat. 2. In both recent visits I've had issues with my order- nothing major but ex. this morning I ordered and paid for bacon on my bfast sandwich and found it wasn't included. I LOVE BREAKFAST BURRITOS and I grew up in California (not the same as New Mexico) but the point is that my standards are high for breakfast burritos. This place is pretty solid and the green hatch chile is supreme. The burrito is massive and pretty heavy/oily, so it will definitely fill you up for a while, and you couldn't even split it into 2 meals. I can also see this burrito being the perfect hangover food, if you live nearby. There's nothing wrong with this place, but I don't know if I'd personally wait more than 20 minutes for this burrito. It was great but not life changing or anything out of the ordinary, but maybe I'm not the right person to ask. When we walked in, we were told there would be a 30 minute for a table for four or we could order to go and eat in the garden (on a lovely 45 degree day). We chose the latter and waited along the wall of the restaurant, perched directly behind the couple who walked into the restaurant after us who were seated, ordered, ate and left before we finally received our burritos and hour + after. When we went to check on our order and reminded the server we had ordered an hour ago, we were rudely asked "what do you want me to do about it?". it's now the third time I have ordered delivery or pick up from Ursula after they moved to nostrand and the third time I have been disappointed. the food quality is noticeably different since they were in crown heights. specifically, they skimp on green chili big time, skimp in cheese, their burrito is aboit 1/3 smaller, no salt in eggs,. I asked for no chile in one as for a kid and they gave both with no chile which is really the only reason I order their burritos so mine was without Chile, dry, the potatoes today were black and bitter. . there is no way to call them to speak to anyone. it's just so disappointing. I made a quick stop here to grab a breakfast burrito before heading to vote yesterday morning and it was the perfect decision. The line was short and moved quickly (Ursula's line, definitely not the polling center), service was friendly, and the food was exactly what I had hoped for. I ordered the bacon burrito and the portions were perfectly filling and really well balanced. It leaned more on the mushy side without being textureless, and the green chile added just enough flavor without dominating the eggs and bacon.
