A medical emergency is defined as "A medical emergency is a health condition or situation that…read moreneeds immediate medical attention." Immediate is defined as "occurring, acting, or accomplished without loss or interval of time." My wife's visit to the emergency room makes no sense to me. Her primary care physician's nurse told her to make an appointment with a doctor (with first available appointment in 4 days), or go to the ER. We chose the ER, but, not before sending me to the gym to exercise, so that she could fix her hair. I understand the ER has more equipment than doctor's office, and even urgent care. It seemed wrong to go to the ER when it was not an emergency. St. Jude ER was vastly different from the ER in Canada that we just visited, where it was a real emergency. We showed up at 5PM and registered. The triage nurse saw us almost immediately. We saw the doctor within an hour. The doctor followed up on the care that my wife received in Canada and ordered a CT scan and some bloodwork. Everyone that we interacted with was nice and professional. They all knew what their job was. I'll take this over universal healthcare in Canada any day where it took 6 hours just to be triaged! Even though we spent four hours at the ER, the time went by quickly because the the process here at St. Jude is just so much better. It was a good experience. I don't want or need to experience them any more. Hopefully, I will never come back.

St. Jude Fullerton's ER demonstrated a serious breakdown in basic patient care. After misdiagnosing…read morethe same symptoms on 7/31 as a "pulled muscle," we returned on 8/10 with lung fluid confirmed by urgent care. The patient then endured seven hours of untreated chest pain because the ER doctor refused to act without radiology, which took ten hours to respond. Pain relief and antibiotics were only given after multiple complaints, and the doctor admitted he was "finally making a decision without radiologist confirmation." The pneumonia diagnosis confirmed after discharge. This level of delay, misjudgment, and lack of urgency is unacceptable for any emergency department. It's too bad I can't give a negative review. In addition, try speaking with Patient Care Relations only to be directed right away to voicemail with a message that call will be returned IN two days, not within two days.

We were…read moreadmitted Monday night, August 17, and welcomed our son, James, on Wednesday, August 19 at 4:08 a.m. From the moment we arrived through my induction, labor and delivery, James's NICU care, postpartum, and the care that followed, the compassion, attentiveness, professionalism, and kindness we experienced were truly incredible. There were so many people who cared for us that I unfortunately wasn't able to get everyone's name. I want those people to know they have not been forgotten. The doctors, nurses, midwives, NICU team, lactation consultants, Health Scholars, volunteers, and staff all contributed to making one of the most important and vulnerable experiences of our lives feel safe and supported. I especially want to recognize the doctor who started my induction. Although I unfortunately did not get their name, I am incredibly grateful for the care and guidance we received as we began a process that was completely new to us. Diana and Sandra were our nurses in the beginning and were wonderful as we settled in and began the journey of welcoming our baby. During delivery, Amy, our midwife, and Aida, our nurse, helped us welcome James into the world. We are incredibly grateful for their care, encouragement, and support during such an emotional and unforgettable moment. When James was born, he needed immediate medical attention, and an entire team stepped in to care for him. I wish I had gotten every person's name because they deserve to be recognized. Watching the doctors and nurses respond so quickly, calmly, and attentively was incredibly reassuring. They made sure our baby received everything he needed while keeping us supported as brand-new parents. I especially want to recognize the NICU doctor who cared for James, along with the entire NICU team. Having your newborn need additional care immediately after birth is incredibly emotional, and knowing he was surrounded by such capable and compassionate people gave us tremendous comfort. We are especially grateful to Thuy and Doris, James's NICU nurses. They were incredibly attentive and gave us so much reassurance when we needed it most. We will always remember the care they gave our little boy and the kindness they showed us as his parents. Our postpartum experience continued that same level of care. Tiffany, Tiawen, Jaimini, and Lacey, our final postpartum nurse, were all wonderful and helped us through those important first days as a new family. Rose, our lactation consultant, was also an important source of help and support. There were other nurses and lactation consultants whose names I didn't get, but whose kindness and guidance made a lasting impact. I also want to thank the doctor who performed James's circumcision. I unfortunately didn't get the doctor's name, but I want their care to be recognized as part of our wonderful experience. The Health Scholars and volunteers, along with staff working behind the scenes, also deserve recognition. There were so many acts of kindness--people checking on us, answering questions, offering reassurance, helping us learn how to care for our new baby, and making us feel surrounded by people who genuinely cared. What made Kaiser Anaheim so special wasn't just one person or one moment. It was the entire team and the consistency of the care we received. From the doctor who began my induction to our labor and delivery team, the people who immediately cared for James, his NICU doctor and nurses, our postpartum nurses and lactation consultants, the doctor who performed his circumcision, and everyone else we encountered, we continually felt our family was in caring and capable hands. We never felt like just another patient, another baby, or another room. We felt cared for as a family. To Diana, Sandra, Aida, Amy, Thuy, Doris, Tiffany, Tiawen, Jaimini, Lacey, Rose, the doctors whose names I wish I had gotten, and every other incredible person who cared for our family: thank you. Thank you for caring for me, for caring for our son, and for supporting our family during such a vulnerable, emotional, and life-changing experience. Kaiser Anaheim will forever be part of the story of how James came into the world, and we could not be more grateful.

She made me feel comfortable, even though I was nervous. Dr. Filek also checked in with me through the whole process. The numbing process was painful, but she paused and offered breaks when I needed it. She also was very careful with the incisions. She used the smaller scalpel and did small cuts. I got 6 incisions total. They are healing up great. Dr. Filek was truly amazing. Wonderful doctor all around!

From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with such kindness, calm, and genuine care -- it instantly puts you at ease. Am travelling and they opened specially for me today just to accommodate me. She is not just an incredible dentist, she is a true professional with a heart. Every step is explained so clearly, with so much patience and reassurance, that you actually feel looked after rather than rushed. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and you can tell she truly cares about her patients, not just their teeth. What really stands out is how gentle, precise, and thoughtful she is -- no stress, no fear, just trust. The clinic itself is spotless, modern, and has that effortless Placentia (LA) elegance that makes you feel comfortable and confident you're in the best hands. If you're in LA and looking for a dentist who combines expertise, warmth, and excellence -- this is it. Hands down the best dental experience I've ever had. I'd recommend her a thousand times over. Thank you for turning something I used to dread into something I actually feel good about!

Dr. Shah is an excellent dentist that is mindful of her patients' time and works quickly but carefully. She is also friendly and approachable to the point that I can ask her questions throughout the process and she is happy to explain. This can be a rare trait to find and is really appreciated. I can just tell she treats her staff well seeing how they interact and work together. Jill and Gabbie are friendly and professional hygienists that do a great job assisting Dr. Shah. Lastly I need to give a shout-out to Dolores at the front desk for her professionalism and patience with my payment and insurance related questions. I already have follow ups scheduled for later in the year and will refer my family and friends over too.
