Immediate is defined as "occurring, acting, or accomplished without loss or interval of time." My wife's visit to the emergency room makes no sense to me. Her primary care physician's nurse told her to make an appointment with a doctor (with first available appointment in 4 days), or go to the ER. We chose the ER, but, not before sending me to the gym to exercise, so that she could fix her hair. I understand the ER has more equipment than doctor's office, and even urgent care. It seemed wrong to go to the ER when it was not an emergency. St. Jude ER was vastly different from the ER in Canada that we just visited, where it was a real emergency. We showed up at 5PM and registered. The triage nurse saw us almost immediately. We saw the doctor within an hour. The doctor followed up on the care that my wife received in Canada and ordered a CT scan and some bloodwork. Everyone that we interacted with was nice and professional. They all knew what their job was. I'll take this over universal healthcare in Canada any day where it took 6 hours just to be triaged! Even though we spent four hours at the ER, the time went by quickly because the the process here at St. Jude is just so much better. It was a good experience. I don't want or need to experience them any more. Hopefully, I will never come back.

St. Jude Fullerton's ER demonstrated a serious breakdown in basic patient care. After misdiagnosing…read morethe same symptoms on 7/31 as a "pulled muscle," we returned on 8/10 with lung fluid confirmed by urgent care. The patient then endured seven hours of untreated chest pain because the ER doctor refused to act without radiology, which took ten hours to respond. Pain relief and antibiotics were only given after multiple complaints, and the doctor admitted he was "finally making a decision without radiologist confirmation." The pneumonia diagnosis confirmed after discharge. This level of delay, misjudgment, and lack of urgency is unacceptable for any emergency department. It's too bad I can't give a negative review. In addition, try speaking with Patient Care Relations only to be directed right away to voicemail with a message that call will be returned IN two days, not within two days.

Dr. Ho is especially compassionate and takes time to really listen, which we didn't always experience with other pain specialists we tried. He is thorough but also efficient during follow-up visits, and he helped significantly reduce her pain with steroid injections when medications alone were not enough. Walking in before the appointment, my mom could not sit up and had to lay down on the waiting room couch. After the procedure, my mom has been able to walk short distances without her cane. We are very grateful for the care she has received here.

With Dr. Rhie, that was not so. I woke up only remembering some last words with her: Dr. Rhie: Are you feeling it yet? Me: Not really (That might have been the anesthesia speaking a bit..) He notice that my nose looks really swollen so he prescribe be 2 different kind of nose spray. Check back with Dr Kao in 1.5 months and there was no different in my breathing. He took a closer look and said I have a deviated septum and gave me the 3 different scenario on what I wanted to do. It took me a few months to decide but I opt for the surgery route since it's 90% effective. The office staff was quick and wonderful at scheduling the pre-op, surgery, and post-op. Everything was explained very throughly. The surgery facility is very clean one of the cleanest I've seen so far. The nurses (did a great job that my IV sight did not bruised) and anesthesiologist was very professional and courteous. I thought I was going to be in major pain but it wasn't too bad. Doctor said down time was a week but I only took a day off after surgery since I work from home.

Dr. Patel recommended a PRP Injection which is the plasma injection. I visited twice and both times the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and kind! Poor communication, disorganization, a general unwillingness to help or answer questions. I went home with no clear instructions on how to care for my mouth, what to eat, medications to take, etc. They cancelled my appointment twice the day of the appointments, and then rescheduled the third appointment the day before. I was sent to the other location, but when calling with questions, they avoided answering by saying they don't share information between locations. The disposition of the staff is nice and friendly. They just seem very disorganized and not used to helping or answering questions.
