Advisor- please do not fall for the beautiful photographs she has in her rooms. I went in there a couple of times and every single time, Dr Sura just rubbed me off wrong. I'm sure she is a nice lady but professionally she was rude, arrogant and not a great listener. I went in because my insurance changed and I was referred to this Dr bc she was the "only one" that took my insurance. I never had IEHP HMO before so I didn't quite know how to use it. I complained about pain and informed her about my symptoms. She did nothing to help me or treat me. Nor even care and just dismissed me. I went back for my pap smear a few months later. The most painful pap smear in my life. I left home with cramps. She literally shoved the tool inside me rapidly to the point that it burned and it was almost excruciating and rubbed me with the Q tip like if she was mixing pancakes up in me. It was horrific. Every time you speak or try to she seems annoyed, be littles you and gaslights you medical wise. I am not a person to be confrontational so I just brush it off and agree. However I still questioned myself why I keep going back. I got a call about my results being abnormal she said "have you ever been diagnosed with HPV before? I said no. She said I am going to refer you to an ONCOLOGIST. She said on a scale 1-5 yours came back a 3. They will call you in about two weeks. I asked should I inform my partner? she said well don't know if you have HPV and just keep tour immune system up" so if I don't have HPV why even mention it?? I rapidly called the oncologist office and my PCP scheduled appointments. Scared for my life about cervical cancer since she said it was at 3 and HPV. The day finally arrives and I go to city of hope. I meet the sweetest doctor. The kindest doctor I've ever met. He asks "why are you here???" I said well Dr sura referred me. Dr Kebria is an amazing listener and he cares very well for his patients that he stays until all questions are answered. I understood why there is a waiting time because he wants to make sure all his patients go home informed. He said I had absolutely NOTING WRONG with me. Led me to the front desk and asked the receptionist to give me a refund. I want to mention I am not the type of person to be confrontational or rude to anyone in person or online. I went home crying thanking God for not having HPV or cervical cancer. The only thing good i can say about this i am thankful she referred me to Dr Kebria. and allowing him to correct the misleading referral and confusion. read more

Checked in for my appointment, was sent to a room where I was asked questions regarding the reason for my visit and even undressed for the doctor. After waiting for 25-30 minutes the for what I thought was the doctor, the RECEPTIONIST came in to tell me they couldn't see me because I had 2 insurances which one I already provided over the phone when booking the appointment. Unfortunately, my first experience with this business was a waste of time and I noticed lack of professionalism. If the doctor said they couldn't see me, it would've made more sense to have her tell me directly instead of the receptionist coming in when I'm undressed from the waist down. *Dr. Sura was the on-call Doctor who delivered my twins at Pomona Valley Hospital. I went in at 7cm and she examined me and let my know my options and had the best nursing staff in a nice big room. Unfortunately due to the pandemic I could only have one person with me who was vaccinated and tested. We had two teams of nurses for each baby and decided to deliver the twins in the OR room for emergency purposes. Since one twin was breeched we delivered through c-section about 8cm (practically ready to come out) and doctor performed the delivery safely. She was calm, very competent (even during an emergency situation) and helped me with blood transfusions to keep me alive and healthy and almost pain-free post-partum. Thank you doctor for delivering the babies safely. *C-section: was normal procedure and so far looks decent. *Anesthesiologist: was very nice but was stabbed multiple times in my back. Which was unpleasant especially during the contractions that were one minute apart. *Nursing staff was the best. read more

I absolutely love Dr. Sura and her nurses. She delivered my first baby and when I have my second I will most definitely be going back to her. I was having a difficult time trying to pick an OB/GYN & then Dr. Sura was referred to me. A big thing that stood out to me was that many of the nurses at the hospitals she delivers at actually choose her to deliver their babies as well... Which tells you if the nurses trust her then she must be good! Overall I appreciated the fact that Dr. Sura made everything so simple. If you had a question she'd answer it or Wendy (her nurse) would, but other than that I never felt pressured to do anything I didn't want, I was always given options and I was able to speak on anything I wanted to without any disregard for my concerns. Also needed her to fill out her part of the paperwork for EDD and they are charging me $10 for them to do their job. After being a patient of Dr. Sura's for a while now, I am very disappointed that I will be changing to a different OBGYN. MAIN REASON: Dr. Sura diagnosed me with a given condition and proceeded with a series of tests and recommended a fairly radical procedure for a 21 year old healthy female with no family history for this diagnosis. After getting a 2nd and 3rd opinion, I learned that new research has shown this diagnosis is highly common in young women, and the correct protocol following should be to monitor yearly, NOT to have young women undergo a biopsy or procedure. I am still shocked that Dr. Sura was practicing not in accordance to the most recent findings in medicine and CANNOT stress enough how important it is to FIND YOURSELF A DOCTOR WHO STAYS UPDATED WITH MEDICINE. Other reasons: I have been consistently overcharged at this clinic despite having my insurance on file. I have been charged in full every time for any visits/procedures, rather than paying only what my insurance says I owe. Over the years I have probably overpaid Dr. Sura QUITE a bit, which is honestly a pretty sketchy practice. I've only been paid back after realizing this was going on after at least year of coming here, for RECENT visits after calling the clinic and having to ask for the money back that they've taken from me. WTF?! Finally, the receptionist is AWFUL. Overall just incredibly rude and insensitive in person and on the phone. The only person in this clinic that gives it a redeeming quality is the fantastic nurse. In short, don't go here to avoid being receiving an inaccurate treatment plan and to avoid being consistently overcharged for your health. read more

I was with a different OBGYN prior to switching to Dr.Sura. I switched because I was already 5 months pregnant and I hadn't met my OBGYN once. Plus I would be living in the area a few days out of the week so I just decided I would switch and see how it works out with a different OB, and I'm really happy I did. The staff is really nice. Wendy is super friendly and funny, Elizabeth is really sweet, and Dr.Sura is just amazing. I saw Dr.Sura at every visit, except one, and that was only because she was called to the hospital on an emergency. She builds a connection with her patients and that's the best part about her. She's super nice and very knowledgeable. Visits are quick because she goes back and forth from patients to the hospital all day, so it's understandable. But when something was wrong or I had a concern she would take the time to explain and make sure everything was okay. She was there with every visit all the way up until I gave birth. I saw this doctor briefly and I wouldn't recommend her or her staff to anyone. The nurse Wendy is friendly and personable, but i found it odd how she had this negative attitude towards my husband. When he came to the 1 appointment both Wendy and the doctor ignored his existence. Odd - wouldn't you want to congratulate the father to be? I mean I am the one carrying the child, but he's excited to become a parent and see/hear his child too. That same appointment my blood pressure was high. next appointment i was fine, Wendy made a comment that it was because my husband was with me that day ----- uh, why would i be nervous that my husband is in the room with me? She made some other comment about him without ever seeing him or knowing him, that was confusing. I saw Dr. Sura from mid-Dec to February. I enrolled with my employer medical insurance, after asking staff if they accept ANTHEM BLUE CROSS HMO, they said it should be fine. So I took that information and enrolled. Turned out it's not "fine". I was dropped on 03/12/21, 27 weeks pregnant, recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes - failed ALL 3, age 37, and no advice or referral. Simply ya the doctor won't be able to continue to see you anymore. I asked if my secondary insurance - mediCAL would cover the expense and they said no they would not. I thought mediCal covers all pregnancy expenses? Why wouldn't it cover my pregnancy and delivery? The nurse would disclose, just simply said the doctor would no longer be able to see me. New doctor asked the following questions: how could my previous dr. drop me so far into my pregnancy knowing I was high risk? why didn't i see a perinatologist as of January when I began to see this doctor, seeing that being 37 automatically qualifies me as potential high risk and should be under the care of a perinatologist, if i was gestational diabetic - why wasn't i told to check my sugars immediately rather than wait for a nutrition class, which again never happened due to being dropped? when is my due date? this isn't my first pregnancy nor is it my first csection. what i found to be so interesting is that my due date is based on an ultrasound tech that I paid to see my child while waiting for mediCAL to be approved. Dr. Sura never confirmed or denied that due date. She had me do an ultra sound and NEVER discussed the results of the ultrasound nor the actual due date or even csection date. This new doctor gave me the whole diabetes spiel and even informed me of the risk of a 3rd c-section. Did Dr. Sura do any of these things? Nope. I guess not informing patients about their health and pregnancy is her method of making the pregnancy less stressful. Yet, when I said I am beginning to swell in my feet. i am beginning to feel pain in my body. It was all dismissed. lady - this isn't my first pregnancy. if I bring up a concern it's for a reason. Now i'm getting yelled at by my new doctor because some previous doctor dropped the ball and i'm 30 weeks and 5 days walking into their office seeking prenatal care. Thank you Dr. Sura and staff for your incompetencies and lack of care. Others may have gotten talked to and informed about their health care. Dr. Sura hardly said a word to me. Her staff doesn't seem competent. There are reasons I say that, which i didn't disclose in my review as I am more concerned with the lack of disregard for my safety and my child's. I love Dr. Sura and Wendy and the rest! They care so much for me. They answered all my questions. I am FTM and literally no idea what's going on with my body. I was referred to Dr. Sura and she diagnosed me with gestational HB pressure. She monitored me very closely and given me Labetalol. I am glad that she was very concerned about me and my baby. My child was delivered very healthy and no complications Thanks to God and To Dr. Sura. If I would ever get pregnant again I will definitely go back to Dr Sura. Also they always make me smile and laugh and I never had any problems with setting an appointment. They always are there to answer my questions when I call them. I had to get induced because of my Gestational HB Pressure. I was very scared, yet she still was able to help me remain calm and she explained it to me very well about the process of the induction, and made sure I was safe. The delivery was fast and everything went easy. Dr. Sura made sure everything was cleared out. I probably just bled for two weeks and that to it wasn't that heavy. It was very light!! Love her! I came to dr Sura 6 months into my pregnancy after moving from out of state. From day one she treated me as if I had been coming to her for years. She delivers at Pomona valley which is where I wanted to deliver and seems like all the maternity ward nurses have her as their obgyn which is a great sign. My pregnancy became complicated into month 7 and her staff did everything possible to make sure I was being taken care of with referrals for my insurance, etc. Even though I had a high risk pregnancy I really did not want a c section if possible. I also was really against certain types of labor induction. Dr Sura did the best she could at keeping my birth plan wishes and was able to deliver my baby girl vaginally and only on the induction and pain reliever I requested! She also try's to deliver all her babies herself, not whatever dr is on call at the time and came in to visit me numerous times on the hospital to explain everything and see how I was doing. It was amazing, everyone is is shock due to my baby's complications that she was delivered vaginally and I thank dr Sura for keeping my request in her best interest! I met Dr. Sura 6 years ago when I was pregnant with my son Landon. What made me decide to go with her was her knowledge and experience. I knew if something were to happen to me or my baby I knew she would know what to do. I felt super comfortable with her and how she runs her office. I also LOVE the fact that when you see her you see her all 9m and she is the one that delivers your baby - not like other doctors who work on a team and you just never know who will deliver your baby. On top of being the best she has the best bedside manner - she truly takes the time To listen to your concerns and has always calmed me and answered all my questions. One last update to my review!! We had our twin boys last week, via scheduled c-section.. Dr. Sura performed super quick and efficiently, and I am so grateful for her!! In the final weeks of our pregnancy she was so encouraging, telling me she is proud of me and always staying so positive, it was a delight going in to my appointments here. I HIGHLY recommend her. My husband told me good job on finding her, because he was pleased as well.. He likes to joke around and was able to do so with Dr. Sura. The nurse that was removing my staples was complimenting the work Dr. Sura did. The staples came out so smooth. I barely felt them and the nurse kept saying they were the smoothest staples to remove.. and they were all aligned, whereas some staples she has seen from other doctors are crooked and randomly placed..and she needs to tug and pull on some to get them out. But not mine! All thanks to Dr Sura's neat work. Also, I can't forget to mention Wendy in the back of the office. She is so easy to talk to, she is definitely patient oriented and I always looked forward to seeing her when I had appointments. Definitely a fantastic office, and I will be back as needed! Dr.Sura is amazing, she is very thorough and she takes her time to address any Concerns you might have my previous OB would always rush me out of the room and give me very short answers to my concerns so this i greatly appreciated that. She delivered my baby via cesarean I was very nervous as my first C-section was an emergency so this time around it was scary for me because of my past experience. she was very helpful in easing my nerves and making me comfortable she did an amazing job my baby is healthy as am I and healing very well. The nurses at the hospital have all had great things to say about her as well.Also all of her staff is Great as well I Love nurse Wendy! I am trying to set up my referral from another office to there and the woman who answered started yelling telling me to stop calling (this was my first phone call) I immediately told her there was no reason for the attitude I was calling to follow up on my referral. I asked her name and she yelled to stop calling and gave me a patients name (HIPPA violation) I told her that was NOT my name. And she was furious and yelled I know it's you and called me the patient's name again. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor and she stated she was the supervisor. She has very poor communication and dreadful bedside manner. She is rough and careless. It is because of her my wife had a miscarriage. ALL NEW PATIENTS BE WARNED. DO NOT GO HERE.
