PEOPLE beware this shop and do not go here if you value your time, vehicle, and earnings. Amanda wasn't there and we know this information was handed over to you, but we'll fill you in on the true details and I advise you to check your cameras and audio if you have it. We took the car to Belle Tire for a starter. It was changed with a new starter that was specified for the vehicle. Then it was realized the flywheel was broken by Belle tire. The vehicle was towed to Multi-State Transmission. They replaced the flywheel for $1200, and when started made a squealing sound. Technician said that the vehicle had the wrong starter in it. Couple days later we took it back to Belle tire and they replaced it with another new manual starter. In the process their technician said that the vehicle was leaking transmission fluid. Took it back to Multi-State Transmission, they then charged $600 to replace transmission seals. My father was told they were putting genuine Toyota seals in the vehicle. He was there when the seals got there which were from Motor Craft. Toyota doesn't make those and he paid $100 for the seals. A couple days later we noticed it was leaking again. Took it back to Multi-State. There's a 90 day warranty on your company's work. When we took it back they said the starter was wrong (after it was replaced correctly the first time and then the second time). They didn't honor the warranty and wanted to charge $1000 to replace them. Then used the excuse of the starters being the reason to the leak. This is ludicrous, the starter that was specified was changed twice and we didn't have any problems with Belle to get it changed again. At this point, it's questionable if the technician even knows what he's doing or diagnosing. Overall, thank you for showing this audience and potential customers that you insinuate guest of being liars.

This place is a total rip off they over charged , they have a coupon for free check engine lite…read morethen they want to charge to check your transmission it is so may other places the do this for free. They wanted to charge me close to 5,000 to do my transmission I called 3 other shops 2,800, 2,700, 2,600 how do you double your price. Please do your homework do not support this place call around . You can fine a lot of quality shops that will not take advantage of you. I hope someone understands the name when I grew up ment something now this name is rip off. The only reason I took my car there is because of what I grew up on my parents took their vehicles to them now I just do not know what happened. I would give them a 0 but this 1 star is not what I want but it's the only option. Buyer beware

We took our 2017 Ford Fusion to AAMCO Chicago Heights on Friday, April 3, due to a stuttering…read moreproblem when shifting between 20 and 40 mph. After having our car for an entire day, we called repeatedly to be told, finally, at 5 minutes to their closing time, that all the fluid had burned out of the transmission, that the transmission was scrap, and the only option was to fully replace the transmission at a cost of $8900. We were promised a copy of the inspection report that showed this need. We never received an inspection report. We paid $495 for the transmission inspection, via Zelle, and picked up the car, unsure of what to do. We spent that weekend trying to figure out options (borrow the money, finance, give up the car). On Monday, the car would not shift out of park. We paid to have the car towed to the dealership where we bought it ($195). The dealership discovered that the shifting computer had been damaged, presumably during the "inspection" at AAMCO Chicago Heights. That cost $1,400 to replace. The original problem that sent us to AAMCO? Cost $270 and had nothing to do with the transmission at all; it was a wiring fault. We are out over $2,000 directly due to AAMCO's negligence and clearly they were attempting to take us for a great deal more with their bogus claims about our transmission needing to be replaced. Avoid this shop at all costs, because the cost will be high.
