I have a good deal of firearms experience for being 23, but obviously not enough compared to these guys. Before they even established for themselves how much we knew or how much money we had, they displayed the utmost regard and courtesy towards us as they probably would any regular customer there. They keep a very clean shop, somewhat unexpected for a gun store, but being detail oriented is always a plus. Truly an asset to the local gun industry and I don't say that lightly at all. It's a real shame that I made my purchases from Reed's and Targetmasters in the past. I won't even think twice in the future. Product selection is impressive. Unlike other stores, they don't carry everything under the sun so you have to secondguess what is the best value for the money. They ONLY carry the best value for the money. I'm really glad to see these guys are getting great reviews. I was deployed when they opened up, but visited right after their grand opening. Man, what a setup. It's simple but effective. Not a lot of tactical timmy crap all over the place. No 5.11 posters and racks full of tactical polos, cargo pants, multicam backpacks, stickers, and other pog nonsense. The guys are knowledgable and have a good grasp on how to build an AR. They also have some pretty sweet AK setups that I could see. Walked in looking for a holster for my Glock 22 and didn't have a lot to spend. The Big boss came out and offered to go in the back and find a used one. I ended up getting a really nice holster for $40 with a thumb lock. These guys really went out of their to help me out. I will be coming back in the near future. read more

Not a bad experience here ever! Eric & Josh are top notch, honest and most of all knowledgeable and if they don't have an answer they will be up front while explaing your options not a over sell.. Recently had to have a Ruger SuperBlackhawk 44 mag grip replaced, they found me one that works great & decent about the delivery and price. I can see they have added some new items to hep with the maintenance of all things that go BANG! Eric worked on my 30-06 to shorten the stock to help my pull and trigger. Eric replaced the recoil pad, fixed the pull to fit me and did a great job. Its a great convenience to have this store so close, and you don't have to deal with a bunch of Pecker Heads at Reeds. Or drive half way around the planet to visit Bass Ma Pro markup. Now I'm sure you can find a better price but you wont find better service, friendly advice, down to this planet level. Of all the gun stores in the bay area and south bay, this one is by far the best. The guys there (Mike and Josh) are just so knowledgeable and really put customer service at the forefront. Unlike others in the area and I've been to many, they always are helpful and really make it a great experience every time I visit. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could. This place is a great resource! Eric and Josh and the rest of the staff are very professional, knowledgeable and friendly to all customers (whether you have no, some or substantial experience with firearms). The store is immaculate and they conduct business very straight forward and by the book. This is so important when you're talking firearms. They do not try to hard-sell you on products or services. They are very willing to share their knowledge and that builds a great customer relationship. My father taught me how to properly care for and use firearms...if I had someone ask me where they could learn proper use and care for a firearm, I would definitely recommend Eric and his team at US Firearms. Over a year ago I completed my first rifle build and needed a local shop to purchase ammo/supplies. Thanks to the powers of Yelp I found US Firearms Co. Couldn't be happier to live close to a great shop! Just recently broke a screw off in the base of one of my scope rings. Brought my rig here and problem solved! This is one of the best shops I've dealt with by far. The staff is extremely down to earth. Everyone that works here is very knowledgeable and helpful. I learn something new every time I come here. I wish I would have known they have a gunsmith during my build... they could have saved me time and money. I have known Eric for some time. it was Nice too see someone I knew, to had grasp on firearms and was not some poser. Owning a store. I am two tour combat vet and dont take gun wanna be fools well. The kids working there are nice, helpful, and were nice to my 7 year old. His layaway deal for me is epic. I bring in money when I can. And he hangs on to it until I have enough to make a purchase. No time limit., No pressure. I really like this store and the guys in it. and I will spend my money on people I like more then the one who is cheaper and a tool. I highly recomend these guys. It's a nice, well organized store; complete with a leather chaired lounge area and soft classical music over the radio - at first glance, may cause you to wonder if you're really in a gun shop. Above all, they're helpful, courteous - and know their sh*t. I was in there for some minor work on my AR but was also in the market for a new handgun. I gave Ryan my initial mindset on what I was looking for and he gave me not only further insight on that, but additional insight into considerations I had not yet made. By the time owner / armorer Erick was finished with my AR, Josh provided me with good, seemingly unbiased info that brought me another step closer to making my decision. I called this store with some questions regarding handguns and an FFL transfer. Although helpful, the store owner is not very knowledgeable of the law regarding the 4473 form question 11a. This states "Are you the actual transferee/buyer of the firearm(s) listed on this form? Warning: You are not the actual transferee/buyer if you are acquiring the firearm(s) on behalf of another person. If you are not the actual transferee/buyer, the licensee cannot transfer the firearm(s) to you. . . " The ATF provides instructions on page 4 of the form regarding a gift. If the transfer is an out of state off roster gun, the transfer must be blood related such as father to son, etc. This store does not seem to provide FFL service but i would recommend going to a more knowledgeable shop. read more

I came here looking for a little instant-gratification on my purchase of a Magpul Enhanced Trigger Guard, CTR Stock and, a BCM Gunfighter charging handle. Since I get off work between 5:30 and 6PM, when most gun stores are closed, this was the natural choice since it was just up the road from my girl's place. The guy who helped me (I can't remember if I ever got his name) was nice and helpful, He didn't have any of the BCM Mod4s in stock but offered to special order it, which was nice. Overall the store was cleanly laid out, with a nice selection of ARs and other interesting long guns. Hand gun selection was slim but, that seems to be the norm with the current state of the Handgun Roster being what it is. My only gripe here was that a 10/30 PMAG was, in my opinion, over priced. But as I've been traveling all over the South Bay looking for a reasonably priced 10/30, I've noticed this is the norm. All in all, I'll be back for a few little things, just not PMAGs. read more

I am very impressed with the level of service and competency. I'm going to keep this review short and sweet, I want to get to the point and say the owner Eric went above and beyond to make me, and every customer he deals with satisfied. When I first walked in they were very busy, so me, managing a business myself, just stood back and watched Eric and his associates deal with customers. Very informative and patient. 2 qualities very rare to people working at firearms stores. It was instantly noticeable. Fast forward, now I'm up! I have a H&K P2000 .40 I called around many places to have my old sights pushed off. I am utterly shocked at the amount of shops that didn't have the tool for HK! wow! ......anyway Eric had the tool, did the job in 15 minutes with no damage or scratches of ANY sort to my modified slide. 9-4-12 Just Picked up a 2nd and 3rd Gun Safe From US Firearms. Both American Security. They helped me make the purchase a few weeks back. They set the expectation that I would be waiting (which i was fine with) and the day it arrived they called me and asked if the could schedule a garage delivery. I ended up picking them up myself and in the mean time, My Brother in law order one as Well!! Price was MORE than fair as the market goes. Another great experience I met Eric Fisher (owner of US Firearms) through a Mutual Friend. The First interaction I had with him was a private party transfer on two Les Baer 1911's. I asked a lot of questions, some intelligent, some stupid, but All Eric answered with no sarcasm and 100% honesty. Two weeks later i brought in two of my AR-15's and Eric quickly corrected some improper gun-smithing on my rifles. He swapped some parts for me and showed me the benefit of said parts and why there were a benefit to me. I have been going to US Firearms now for exactly 1 year and Eric has received more of my money than any other gun stores combined. He CONSISTENTLY tells me what's worth the money and what is not. He has talked me out of buying lots of things that would do me more harm than good for my shooting collection and hobby. US Firearms only Carries 5 star quality Brands. LMT, LRB, Les Baer etc... When i Assembled my first LMT .308, Eric went with me to the range the day my Dros was up to Help me break in my barrel and zero in my scope! The Gun-Smtihing he provides is Top Notch, the follow up customer service is excellent, and for any shooter, Novice or Expert, If you have not already, you Need to go meet Eric. I had a major problem with my AR and I needed a gunsmith fast. After reading a numbers of reviews (and personal experiences with some shops that shall remind nameless) The guys got the thing working in a few hours, I got my AR back same day! The workmanship was good, and service price was reasonable. Btw, they carries some very high quality firearms - worthy of a lookie because after a little chat with the people there, they know a lot more about guns and a lot of other stores, combined - and without 'tude. (they actually talked me out of a PX4... which I begin to have doubts myself since I used a numbers of times at a range.. looks like I will keep using my walther and sigs until I get the money to get a Les Baer concept...) read more

Smaller, younger, leaner. Modest selection of long arms, mostly tactical, some old military surplus which might be very interesting. Tiny selection of hand guns. Small selection of supplies and accessories. Parking was tricky. There are only two general spots in front of the store and they were taken. I had to park around the block and walk. Not a disaster, just a little confusing at first. I'm glad I stopped in. Didn't find what I wanted so I haven't done business with them yet, but I expect to be back another day. Promising. read more

These guys are truly amazing. Friendly and professional, they helped me pick out a firearm for my individual needs. It was to be my first firearm, I had a lot of questions, yet not once did I get a hint of newbie-unfriendliness. Due to my circumstances changing, I was forced to cancel my order (after I had already paid for it and presumably after they had already put in the order for my firearm). While other stores may have refused me the refund or at least hassled me about it, the cancellation process was basically pain free. A co-worker of mine recommended U.S. Fire Arms Co. a few years ago, with positive comments. I called the store this past July to inquire about a particular handgun I wanted to purchase, and with a minimum of wait time, Josh told me the hand gun was not available in the state of California. Oy! He suggested a visit to the shop and look at what was available, no easy task as I live a good distance away and traffic is always a pain. Let's face it; walking into a gun shop and not knowing anything except what you have seen on YouTube, is a bit intimidating, though I did study the HSC handbook for California. Not so at U.S. Firearms Co., there was a diverse group of patrons ahead of me in the shop, so I began listening to the interactions between customers and staff. Wow! These guys know the business and communicated their knowledge in controlled informative way, no jargon and with down to earth practicality. They were not just trying to sell you a gun, they were there to listen and educate. Kudos to Josh he had the patience and time to spend with me, it was a pleasure learning something new. He asked about my budget, intended purpose and if I had the proper HSC certificate and training. I took HSC test; passed and completed the purchase. Even found an instructor to take classes with. All things considered U.S. Fire Arms Co. is a great place for a first time purchase and a great place to learn from. After the other LGS where I bought my AR15 failed to show me how to take apart and clean my new rifle, I asked the awesome owner Eric here to show me what I need to do for this. Now even though I bought pistols here and not the rifle, Eric was awesome enough to spend time helping me with the new AR15 and gave some great tips on maintenance. These guys are experts on the AR platform! Like I said the only downer is lack of inventory here but they are the best in customer service for any LGS that I have been to. They also have classes on pistol, rifle and shotgun for newbies that are quite excellent. I vastly improved my skills. Prices are a tad high but services is top notch so it is worth it to avoid an expensive or dangerous mistake. Remember guns are not toys and training is key to safety and enjoying time at the range! I just picked up a new tactical sling and Eric helped me adjust it for a perfect fit AND then busted out this special heat wrap shrink tubing and added a true custom finish. Do yourself a favor and STEER CLEAR! Same issue as other reviews. Do not have gunsmith work done here. I brought in my gun to have a muzzle device pinned and welded to my barrel. Harry said this would be no problem and it would be about three weeks. Now, three months later, after countless excuses that he had "bent" the piece, needed to fix something on it, finish welding it, etc. I called him several times to check the status, finally he said I could come pick it up in three days. I drove (1 hour, and I mentioned to Harry on multiple occasions that i was coming from out of town) I get there and he says its still not done, that he the piece was still bent and he needed to fix it, and that he would mail me the piece within 2 days. Eventually about 2 weeks later the piece along with my upper arrived, with absolutely zero evidence of any work being done. Harry had literally done zero work and each time I had called to check the status he lied about the work he was doing. I honestly think if I hadn't called and drove there so many times that gun would have sat in the back of that place forever. Extremely unprofessional to LIE to your clients about the work you are doing on their property that they trusted with you. Zero stars!!!! read more

This place is amazing! I originally stopped by US Firearms Co because I fired a squib load which logged a bullet in between my revolvers cylinder and barrel. I called beforehand and they told me to come by. I had never been to US F Co. before, but wow! They had such a huge selection of high-end, top tier ARs and 1911s. They even had an LMT MWS 308 in stock! Which is insanely rare to find right now in California, especially considering the laws that are about to go into effect. The really impressive thing about my visit--they fixed my revolver on the spot, free of charge! Super knowledgeable guys with a fantastic selection of firearms. There's a lot of good to this shop. They sold me a Russian Century AK-47 which turned out to be a great rifle overall. They also spent a lot of time with me to explain my options for upgrading, which I did. They installed a great Samson railed fore-end (installation came with the price of the fore-end), and they had to shave off a bit here and there to make it fit right. Now the rifle is much more configurable, it's rock solid and it looks great. Kudos because I wouldn't want to try this myself. The only issues I had were that the installation took a long time. Seems lots of things take longer than you would expect there. Busy I think. Also, I had some trigger work done with them and the trigger went from slightly problematic to bad. The weird thing is that even though the trigger went from a 2-stage to 1-stage (and gritty) they said that it was fine. They also said that they didn't know whether the bar across the sear was how the 2-stage functionality worked, but that's why anyone would go to them for service: because they know how things work. Anyway, they will drop in a new trigger for me for free; so all is well. read more

I met Eric at US Firearms before the store opened. I came to the business not knowing they hadn't opened yet and he let me in and discussed what his plans were for the business and when they were opening and told me all about the gun I was thinking about purchasing. He even showed me a Les Baer that I ended up buying. Since then I have bought three additional firearms from them. What I appreciate is their honesty and knowledge of their firearms. Both Eric and their staff are well trained and know their stuff. I also appreciate the uniqueness of the firearms they carry in stock as well. When I go in, their store is always clean and there is always someone to help me - if not they acknowledge I'm there and I only have to wait a moment or two. For service on my guns I was amazed that Eric repaired an old .22 of mine, going above and beyond to get the part it needed (calling and ordering it from the manufacturer and providing me with the information in case I needed it again). Another thing I appreciate, being a working person, is if I come in close to their closing time they will work with me until we are finished even if it is after their time to close. They are about the customer, which will keep them in business for a long time. They are much better than the other local stores I used to shop at. I am prior LEO and an OIF veteran although I don't look it and try to keep that info to myself when I visit gun stores. This is because sometimes gun store employees think they're Delta Force operators because they sell guns. Usually I don't run into any really bad behavior but this place was the exception. I took in some guns for service; I thought this was a professional place and I could be confident a good job would be done. When I dropped them off everything seemed okay: I was quoted a price and given a date for pickup. When I picked them up the guy gave me a little paper which said the price on it, not a printed receipt (at this point I think it was for liability purposes- they didn't want to get sued for their crap work). On the outside, the guns seemed fine so I paid the fee and left. When I got to the range I tried to fire my pistol and it did the SAME thing I took it into the shop for. Then I looked at my other guns and saw they were not even reassembled correctly, by a TRAINED GUNSMITH. In fact, the job was so bad my shotgun may be ruined! Fuming, I walked onto the shop and told the guy what happened. He said it was all a big misunderstanding and proceeded to "show" me how I was "supposed" to shoot the pistol (he held it like a gangster in the boyz in tha hood movie- sideways and cocked to the left- no I'm not kidding). I told him I knew a little about guns and I didn't think it was supposed to be shot that way. The guy gave me a wave of the hand explanation and invited me to leave. I will NEVER go back here- horrible service and untrained cowboys. If you don't know how to shoot the weapon-or fix the weapon- then don't claim you do. A waste of money and time- I only hope my firearms are not permanently damaged. I see all the positive reviews here....why do so many of them sound like employees? read more

Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. However they have nothing in stock. I was in the market for a Glock 19. They were very informative and also gave me some other alternatives to the Glock. They were patient with my nob questions and at the end offered me a spot on the waiting list for $100. According to them there is a huge waiting list for the Glock 19 and they said it would be at least a couple months before they get one in stock. Apparently no one has them in stock and there is a back order months long to get one. As much as I would have liked to buy one from them since they took their time with me, I would wait a couple weeks, but they had no idea when they would get one in for me and it would be at least a couple months at a minimum. I went to another gun store, actually three other gun stores. All had the Glock 19 3rd gen in stock. They said that it does sell quickly but they get resupplied by their distributors quickly. Pick on up now or wait indefinitely? As much as I appreciate their help - if they can't guarantee deliver in a reasonable time, I need to shop elsewhere. Okay, I want to give them my business - so I want to upgrade my sites to a trijicon site. I went back to them to purchase a site and have them install it. They charge more than anyone else for the sites $120 plus they would charge $40 for installation. I decided to call around - the other stores charge $108 and would install it as a courtesy for purchasing from them. read more

I went back to US Firearms today to buy my Glock G34. It must have been the 10th day of the last mass of sales since it was busy! Although they were busy taking care of other customers Eric acknowledged me to let me know that he would be right with me. I wasn't in a hurry but it wasn't long when another sales associate came out from the back to help me. Once again I had tons of questions since I was getting ready to drop a handsome sum and they again took their time although they didn't know I was going to buy anything. So, I felt pretty good about dropping my cash there. Now the waiting game begins. I'm looking forward in a long meaningful relationship with US Firearms since I know they will start carrying more stock since they are so customer friendly I believe they can't help but grow. I recommend this shop highly if you are looking for a great firearms store. read more
