This being Albuquerque, and with the recent spate of mailbox vandalism and theft (one entire section of the mailboxes in our apartment complex has been completely stolen) I decided I needed to get a post office box and I am delighted that I chose this location. This location was woefully understaffed on my particular visit today. My concern was for a parcel that was not delivered to me because I wasn't at home. As our queue moved, the gentleman and his associate did their best to handle customer requests. They tried to keep things cool but I could hear a lot of tension in their dialogues with the customers. The two men seemed unfamiliar with basic details such as the address of the store. At least twice, I heard one man comment on the theme of "young people won't work for X dollars an hour anymore". Are UPS workers so demoralized now that there are not enough to help out? Obviously they're not on strike (i.e. no political statement -- that would be a dinosaur in 2026). When I asked for help to find my parcel, the gentleman calmly gestured to a pile of parcels behind the desk stretching into the next room, helpless. His opinion was that my carrier did not leave a pink slip requesting redelivery and was "lazy". Despairing of a redelivery attempt, I asked if my parcel would be safe until somebody would be able to help me locate it. Then the gentlemen, with the most deadpan manner said, "we will leave the doors unlocked and all the homeless will come in". Crediting him with a sense of humor despite his helplessness, I remain deeply concerned about the safe delivery of parcels in our local community in Albuquerque NE Heights. UPDATE 8/20/26: Parcel was safely delivered to me, on the redelivery attempt. I did not attempt to revisit the UPS Store in the morning as planned, because I was fortunate to see, from the UPS Tracker information linked to my order, that my parcel was once again out for deliver. In the light of what happened the previous day, this event had a miraculous appearance. read more

I have been a customer at this store since 1990. Before it was a UPS Store, it was Mail Boxes Etc. It has become very obvious in the last 2 weeks that the two men who have taken over the customer service or perhaps are new owners, are definitely in the WRONG job! Today when I arrived, the customer line stretched from the counter to the entrance. One man chastised (cussed?) out a customer while the rest of us waited.in line. I dropped off a return to Amazon. The clerk finally got the return processed. I went to my box to check mail & received a delivery notification from Amazon. As I started out, the clerk motioned me back to the counter & wanted to know why I returned it in the (original) package. I explained that Amazon wanted the original package, tags, etc to the product I had purchased. Then he wanted to know what was in it. I told him I was returning a pair of shoes & that he could open it because it was NOT sealed . I also showed him my delivery notification of a new PKG received today & asked if I could pick up that one. The other clerk said they did NOT have time. "Couldn't I see how busy they are"? Meanwhile instead of helping his customer, he proceeded to chew me out & told me to return by 5pm today. I came home wondering why those 2 old men were in charge? Inefficiency, poor housekeeping, nasty customer service like they provide, and derogatory language are causing me to rethink keeping my address at that store. What ever happened to the young men & women who were so delightful, efficient, & caring?? If these two men are owners, GOD BLESS UPS! If they are employees, then they have failed in training and are in the WRONG job! read more

We went in right after the store opened. I was pleased there was barely a wait. David assisted us and he was so patient and professional. My QR code from Amazon wasn't showing on my email so he kindly told me how to find it again. He really made the whole process very painless and somewhat pleasant. read more

Been coming here for YEARs New manager today tells me they're no longer accepting shoe boxes for shipping since they're not sturdy enough...really??? Guess what, that's MY choice... Then on my letter with the forever stamp post she says you put tape over it so it's no longer valid AND requires additional post for $1.35!?! I've always come here for the convenience now it looks like they're pushing away any customer that's not using UPS...that's fine though I'll just go to the post office and sit on line and have my post go out today rather than sit here for God knows how long! read more

The employees in this store are rude and overall customer service is terrible. I would look for other places to ship.

We have a mailbox at this location and have always been treated really well. The staff is always attentive and remembers us by name. Even when they are super busy they take the time to double check for packages and even look out for mail that may have been addressed wrong. read more

The driver who delivers from their store dropped off my medical supplies at the wrong address...then he denied it...fortunately, a friend had an app that allowed the tracking to identify where the supplies really went. I am elderly and do not have a car...didn't matter. The manager, rather than assist with my problem, essentially said "too bad." She passed the buck to a 1-800 number for UPS...they, of course, passed the buck to the shipper of the medical supplies--who had nothing to do with their mistake... After most of my life on the phone, I'm out the $17.86 and no longer can use the medical supplies. My advice: when you're shipping packages this year, use the Post Office...they are less expensive and they are kinder.... read more

Great staff and amazing service. Not only did they very efficiently help with my order, I couldn't help but notice how professional and courteous they were to everyone. Even rushing from behind the counter to help an elderly man with a cane open the door. I figure if they are that courteous and thoughtful with things like this they will bring that same ethic of going above and beyond to a print or shipping job as well. read more

This location is a disgrace to UPS. There is no customer service, no accountability for lost packages, no accountability for misshipped packages, no accountability for damaged & insured packages. There is no one at this location that returns calls such as management or even the owner. Everyone can make a mistake, just take ownership, make it right. I have tried to give them the benefit of doubt and rectify their wrong. I am beyond SHOCKED that UPS is still allowing this location to do business under the UPS name. I have never been this disappointed with a business! Do NOT use them and for that matter UPS either! read more

This location is close to my work so I use it for convenience but I really dread walking into the store. No one is friendly. I think they all hate their jobs. Greet your customers and ask them how you can serve them and then do it. I received a package from the manufacturer and needed to ship it to a customer. Megan told me I needed to pay to repackage the item. Really? I think the way the manufacturers package items for shipment is going to be fine- it was bubble wrapped and secure. Since I refused to pay to repackage the item I was made to sign a form letting me know it might not make it to its destination in one piece. I wish I would have taken a picture to show just how insane this is. read more

I have had the pleasure of getting to know everyone within this company, and its been a joy! I got to see all the behind the scenes, and what these employees going thru on a day to day is incredible! Rachel was just an employee when I came on with the company, and now, she is the store manager! She is incredible, and really devotes her time to not only the company but to the customers as well. The owner and General Manager are amazing people as well, they not only take care of the employees, and make sure they have what they need to do for daily tasks, but they are also so willing to jump up front and interact with the customers. Most the customers that come in and see the owner and general manager already have built that relationship. I am happy to say that I was able to not only be an employee, but now this is the only place I take my business too. I would highly recommend them! read more

I've had a mailbox at this location since 2005. Since the new management took over from Andy and Kim, I've had nothing but problems. Today I discovered my box was terminated. They said it was because of non-payment and incorrect contact information. They said they put many written notices in my box. I never received notice that I was not current on my payment. I also asked three times in the last 6 months about my renewal and each time was told that I was current. Each employee looked at my card and my contract and said the same thing, "you are current." And I updated my contact information back in 2010 when I took my ex husband off of the box. It hasn't changed. But their system didn't have that information. Now, because they terminated my box (because of lack of information on their end), my mail was returned to sender. I have no idea what was returned. Horrible management, horrible record keeping, horrible processes and horrible customer service. But it won't be the store who suffers. It will be me when I have to remember everything I receive at that box and transfer it to a new place. 10+ years gone down the drain. I wish Andy and Kim were still the managers. They respected and saw their customers as people. The new managers don't see anything except the paycheck they get and how fast they can get out of the store at the end of the day. read more
