No customers, all three workers couldn't be bothered...
    Chrys P.

Made an appointment for passports with the entire family, arrived 10 min early and no one else but us in the entire office. Three USPS workers and not a single one was involved to help us.... What's the point of making an appointment?!! The lady who was behind one counter (with no customers) said she's not assigned to help us but rather someone who's still in the back finishing lunch.... Been sitting around for 30 minutes past our appointment time waiting for someone to come and assist for our appointment. The woman presumably assigned to help walks back and forth from the back with her face glued to her cell phone. What a disgrace, management needs to address the issues otherwise the stigma of the Post Office only continues...

Called these loser jerks 20+ only for them to disconnect the call EVERY time. I hate post office employees. YOU'RE ALL WORTHLESS!

JJ and Bruce went above and beyond in customer service when we were getting our kids passports. Super efficient and kind!

After that, does anyone else in the universe really need to be abused by large, loud elderly white males? There were three elderly white males manning the desk tonight. Two of them may have been awesome. I got the one who had been yelling out to everyone exactly how to behave. It was a calm line, but he needed attention. I had 3 packages with computer printed labels on them: one for USPS and two for UPS. He deliberately and condescendingly informed me, moving the packages about and jabbing each label exclaiming that they were for UPS. "UPS NOT USPS" he continued to inform. I believed him from the get-go and calmly asked if they could take them anyway. (I know from experience that Fedex and UPS take anyone's packages graciously while informing you that they cannot give reciepts for packages with labels that arent theirs. These packages have always shipped correctly for me in the past, getting to their destinations on time.) This US postal worker leaned down on the desk dramatically and said, "I tell ya what. We have a bin back there, where we put mistakes from UPS and maybe they'll go out in a few weeks." Is this the level of service our country's postal service wants to convey? Why did that man want to be so vile? Please privatize the post office so cretins like that man will either shape up or be gone so they can no longer inflict their nasty selves on postal customers. Give UPS and FedEx additional and real competition. I usually use UPS because you're in and out relatively quickly and they happily mail fedex and USPS in a pinch. Tonight, I was once again reminded of why i dont like to go to this post office. Ive only visited it for a handful of emergencies in the 22 years I've lived in this town. Its best avoided.

The shipper did not pay extra for insurance, but each box under the program was eligible for $100 of coverage. The boxes had similar contents but arrived with different results. Both boxes were packed with similar packing material and had similar contents. One box had (2) broken items. The other box arrived with nothing intact. I filed claims for each box but discovered that in order to process the claims, the Post Office had to confiscate the contents of each box. Since most of one box arrived intact, I did not surrender that box (DUH!). I received a denial of the claim from USPS because I did not provide a receipt to verify the valuation of the items that were broken. The items were wedding presents to my parents from 1949. No receipt exists today to back that up. However, the clerk at the Post Office who processed my claim was astonished at the obvious value of the broken items. Had I submitted the second box with most items intact, i would not have gotten anything back. I have found this whole process to be extremely ridiculous. Why would anyone pay extra for insurance through USPS under these circumstances? Who would surrender intact items knowing that the potential for reimbursement would not even touch the obvious value of the items insured, knowing that these items would not be returned. I recommend that anyone shipping anything of value to consider any other means except for the USPS. It's a complete joke.
