I would give this place a zero if possible. As has been pointed out in other's reviews, "Paul" the VERY grumpy and RUDE person working the counter is not only grumpy and RUDE, he's also VERY uninformed as to the basics of his job. My time and money was wasted TWICE because the first time I went to inquire about shipping a personal gift to someone internationally, he told me that absolutely NO packages are allowed to be shipped out of the USA and no packages are allowed to be received in the USA from foreign countries - no exceptions. I went home and researched and found ZERO information making any such claims, so I went back a second time and again "Paul" was RUDE and became HOSTILE and tried handing me an unofficial photocopy of something showing restrictions on shipping. I said that photocopy was nothing "official" with verifiable reference, and I wanted to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor was a young kid that looked like a deer staring into oncoming headlights. This supervisor had no idea what I was talking about and obviously had no idea the people he's supervising are turning people away from doing business there, and being RUDE and HOSTILE towards people just wanting to ship a gift overseas. The supervisor excused himself to go and do some research and after about five minutes came back and said he found no such restrictions on shipping in or out of the USA and gave me a form to fill out. At first the supervisor said perhaps the restriction is because I wanted to ship an old Palm Pilot and it has a battery in it. WRONG! Yes, the package needs to indicate it HAS a battery in there, but it no different than sending a cell phone or hand-held game. Ugh, it just SUCKS that we DEPEND on these people to KNOW what the rules and restrictions are, and I know there are many, but they need to KNOW what they are talking about and be able to back it up with verifiable, OFFICIAL documentation, and no matter what, don't be RUDE and HOSTILE towards someone that just wants to get information and do some business with them. Do yourself a favor and save yourself time, trouble, and money - go somewhere else and hopefully "Paul" will just retire and it sounds like he's a perpetual BAD customer service representative and should be FIRED! read more

the floor supervisor "Joe" is HORRIBLE!!!! A lady was standing in front of his work station when he came out from the back. It was her and I in the lobby BUT he Would NOT help her until she walked 2 feet to go back in the line w/me, and then he called her up to his station!! Talked about "abuse of power". PLEASE fire him as floor supervisor and send him back to remedial training in customer service, HE IS TERRIBLE and his coworkers agree!!! read more

These people are the worst I dread having to go here every time, I can't even begin to describe to you how many times they have lost my mail or delivered it to a different address or charged me for pick up absolutely the worst post office I've ever encountered. I am ok with the long lines. They are to be expected. It is the post office after all. What I don't like is to patiently wait in the long lines only to arrive at the register of "Paul" to then have to deal with his bad attitude. Not sure if he is having problems at home or just hates the way his life has turned out. He is rude, short and condescending. A customer service job is the last place he should ever be working. Not unlike other post offices, this one could use an upgrade, but we were able to get in and out relatively unscathed. They had the necessary boxes, but we were forced to purchase tape to seal them for shipping baby books to our expecting cousins. Parking was easy just outside the doors, and plenty of spots were available at the time we arrived. read more

Old lady that works at the front with straight grey shoulder length hair is incredibly rude. She was cold to me when it was my turn but she was so rude to the person after me it took alot in me not to step up for the customer, who was an older man that didn't speak English as his first language. Did you know that your post office receipt has a web address at the bottom where you can provide feedback from your recent visit? I figured this out after having dealings with a customer service representative that had the bedside manner of the soup Natzi from Seinfeld. Normally I wouldn't bother to rate government employees because after all they are punished enough through working their lackluster jobs and dealing with the public on a daily basis, but I made an exception yesterday because this older woman was quick to spout off policy and procedure to customers and didn't hesitate to send several of them back to the end of the long line or out the door without service. There is no doubt that she knew every regulation in the postal manual, and as old as she was, she probably wrote some herself, but when customer after customer walked away grumbling from their negative interaction with her, I felt compelled to warn the citizens of the world that this is a place where ill will is started and spread throughout the community. On a more positive note, there are two gentlemen that work behind the counter who are quite efficient, although robotic, at performing their duties. You may want to let people skip in line if you are faced with the prospect of being served by Ms. Grouch just so you can win the lottery pick of being helped by one of the gentlemen instead. If you didn't know already, bring your own tape to seal boxes, provide your own labels and boxes if you don't want to send items via priority mail, and possibly consider bringing extras to share with those who weren't fortunate enough to read this post so that a little good will can be spread throughout humanity. read more

I've been frequenting this Post Office for almost 20 years - and it has barely changed in that entire time. But that's what makes it quaint and very Bellinghammy. Yes, the lines can be long (hey, it's the Post Office after all) and there never seem to be enough staff on duty, but think of it as a time to catch up on your phone surfing or even bring a book to read. Bonus points for the ample free parking and easy curbside mailbox, which you can access without even leaving your car. Pro tip: it's a super quick hop over to Whatcom Creek and a beautiful waterfall to de-stress any frustration you encountered while in line to mail your package! read more

Surprisingly was able to get a hold of someone and was assisted successfully in locating my package. Considering the state of USPS alongside COVID, I'm grateful and more patient with the very apparent grumpiness of the employees. I appreciate that whoever answered at least tried. I definitely don't appreciate the woman who I encountered at the counter. Her alone would have given this a one star. The job is awful and customer service is miserable, but the blatant rudeness is a choice on her part as a person. There is also what seems to be a lot of miscommunication and confusion. I was told my package didn't include the apartment number, yet it was visible beneath it being scratched out...? The man on the phone seemed to understand and was able to explain why my package was being held, but the woman didn't appear on the same page. Overall, better than my already low expectations mostly not due to the employees but USPS as a whole. The hassle and unpleasant in person interaction leads me to avoid sending or receiving mail through them at all costs. read more

Basically If you are giving them a call, expect to be on hold for a couple hours and then either hung up on or not helped. If you are going in with any questions or concerns, expect them to pretend that they don't know anything. As an example, I was told I cannot have package rerouted to a different address, despite this being an option to do online at the UPS website. I'm unclear on whether they only hire incompetent people or they just collectively choose to not provide any customer service whatsoever. I now have three packages that I will never receive because they failed at their one very simple job. read more

I have a post box and so far have had good service. I have called them 2-3 times and they have always been friendly. They even remembered my name once. Recommend. They do Competitive Street Addressing, so if you have a postbox you can send it to the street address, one of the few post offices that do. You need to sign forms, but they helpful and friendly. Nice area, decent parking. read more

I have had an ongoing issue with this post office for over a year - They will randomly stop delivering my mail every few months. I go into the post offfice to resolve the issue and sure enough it happens again a month or two later. When I go into the post office to speak with a supervisor it takes 20 minutes on average for someone to come downstairs to speak with me regarding the issues. read more

Awesome Customer Service! I went on a trip to visit my brother and left some important medication there. He sent it priority mail, and the tracking stated it had arrived on the due date, and was out for delivery. I was out of medication, and needed it that day, but I realized last minute our apartment mailbox is too small for a package. I went to the post office, and they called the postman, located where he was on his route, and gave me an address where I could connect with him to get the package. I drove 3 minutes and got my medicine. Thanks so much to the employee who went the extra mile and helped me out :) read more

I called because my tracking information had shown my package was out for delivery, and then it showed that it was 'available for pickup' but did not specify where to pick it up. I was confused, so I called. The first time I was on hold for 8 minutes after explaining everything and then it sounded like I was taken off hold and then hung up on. The second time I called, as soon as it sounded like it was being picked up it hung up again. The THIRD time I called, it rang and rang (the other calls were at least answered fairly quickly) and then I explained this was my third time calling and there was zero acknowledgement of that. She then answered my issue quickly without me saying anything so I'm pretty sure it was the same person all three times. Apparently they had not actually taken my package out? Her explanation wasn't overly clear and it sounded like I was just a nuisance to her. I was told it would be delivered today but I don't overly trust that. I understand that places prefer you use the website as they repeatedly say in the automated message, but the website did not give me any information. I'm frustrated that my package was not delivered the day it was supposed to be, and I am frustrated about the poor customer service I received. read more

The Magnolia street location always seems to have fewer people which is a plus, but I can not stand the man who works there. He is slow and condescending.
