After experiencing SEVERAL catalog orders from last Christmas that never delivered, I found that all of them had been turned over to the Beverly Hills post office from FedEx or UPS for the final delivery. Each time I had to call the Catalog company, they have to resend the item (& some were out of stock) at their expense & expedited shipping. Just this week I had 3 packages from a catalog company ship them UPS & you guessed it, found out through the UPS tracking that it went to "a local post office", & that supposedly 2 attempts were made for delivery for each package with notices left. Never happened. I'm in a high rise building everyday, & no attempts or notices were ever left. I think they've got quite a racket going on at Maple Street. I'm tired of listening to Postal workers saying they are sorry when they can't even track where the package went once at the Post Office, or they try to say that maybe the packages weren't addressed properly. Really? Like UPS or FedEx would take the package partway to California just for fun I've filed yet another useless claim just like I did last year with no resolve. Next step is the Police Department & a phone call to the LA Times to see if I can get anybody on this sham. read more

I was standing in line, alongside several other people. At the service counter there were only two US Postal office representatives. One of the customers being served was a guy with dozens of parcels, each one had to be stamped and weighed. This customer was was engaging the US postal rep with lively social conversation, and the postal rep was also an active participant without any regards, or any consideration of all the people who were in standing line, most elderly. This exchange went on for about thirty minutes. Again, there were only two US postal service people at the counter. All the people in line were very upset with ongoing. At long last I made a comment, that it would be appreciated if they could expedite and be considerate of the people standing in line. The man who as being served replied very rudely. More, to our shock and dismay, the postal rep, not only continued to engage in their social conversation without regards, to top it all, she made very nasty remarks that we all heard. All the people in line got even more upset to say the very least. Bottom line: Long line, VERY rude, VERY offensive non caring rep, waste of the customers time without any regard, and no manager in sight. One star rating is to generous in this particular case. The line was long and there was only one woman working behind the counter (some other guy was just walking around helping people with cards). I get that the post office takes forever, it's pretty typical. But while this woman had a line of about seven people, she stated that she wanted to order a pizza for lunch and literally told everyone she would be right back!! Horrible customer service and management. I've had a Post Office box here since Jan. I renewed at 6 months and needed to do a name change. Now I'm required to verify new address (although there has been no address change) or box will be closed. Debating on closing the box and opening with another provider. If I was able to grade them on the people (customers) who are taking care of their mailing needs, they would get a minus 10 stars. This location might now be permanently closed? Drove there today and the building was surrounded with a green construction fence which blocked access to the underground parking. No signage anywhere as to what is going on. So I checked their website and also the reviews here on Yelp. Still no idea what is going on. I've been here plenty of times, not sure why all the bad reviews, it's a regular post office. More than one person there whenever I've been. While their jobs may not have been the career paths of their choice, I've always gotten help and advice on what forms to fill out and they let me come back to the desk if I have to fill out another form instead of waiting in line again. Plus they tell me the cheapest options. The main ladies I see there on a regular basis are well meaning and fulfill my mailing needs. I have been here for more then a decade and they have been as helpful and efficient, professional and courteous as a Post Office can be under the circumstances. They naturally have to deal with a varied and often obstantent crowd. People have gotten into line just to argue as though they know the USPS better then they do. The employees are always nice and friendly. They're always willing to help if you are patient and are respectful like you should always be. Their self-service machine wasn't working well. We purchased 10 stamps bur received 8 of them after 5 min of wait. We went to the counter but the Asian female clark told us to "Just put your hand in the machine and pull!!" Well, clearly the machine wasn't working and she was telling us to wait another min?? What's the point of "Self-Service"?? Anyways, the female clark realized the machine was broke and it didn't print out remaining 2 stamps we ordered then she told us "I'll give you those 2 stamps to you but you need to give me the original receipt" ok she needed the receipt I understand that so I asked her if we can have a copy of the receipt then she said "Nope. I can't give you the copy". Really?? What kind of customer service is that??? We only purchased 10 postal stamps there why she acted like the older guy from Breaking Bad?? I go to the post office often. It is right next to my home. HORRIBLE! I had a few bad experiences (long lines, I was given wrong information, I was given an attitude, etc....) The most horrible thing was that once an elderly man in front of me wanted something and an Asian lady at the counter who was working there, showed him her tongue and made stupid face at him as he turn his back to her. I had a small "Priority Shipping" package which I hand carried to the post office on Saturday 5/28/11. Wanted to make sure it got shipped so I took the package to the dock in the rear receiving area at around 3:00 PM. There was a white middle aged, overweight woman 40-50 years old with shoulder length "blond" hair. I asked if she would please take my package inside since there was no one else available. She yelled "just leave it there" pointing to the floor. I told her I did not feel comfortable leaving my package in an empty warehouse with no tables and again asked if she would please take it inside for me. She rolled her eyes and yanked the small package from my hands. At this point she threw it like a freesbie halfway across the warehouse aiming at a cart, she missed and my package bounced a couple of times. She then walked over to the package, picked it up, and tossed with great force into the nearby cart! My small package contained a fragile electronic iPod which was being mailed as a gift, and I paid extra money for shipping. This is the type of garbage employee who is paid with OUR tax dollars and is simply too LAZY to do an honest days work! In the private sector she would have her fat ass FIRED for her lack of common sense and insensitivity! Who acts like that with a customer? When I think of my local post office in my hometown of Newton MA, I actually have warm memories of smiling postal workers who knew us by name, sifted out our junk mail when we were out of town "just because" - because they're so damn nice! - and who liked being part of the community. And mind you, their office is about the size of my living room - no frills. Matter of fact, I can STILL walk into that post office and get great service to this day after 20 years of absence. Beat that BH. What kills me is that it's a post office in Beverly Hills, has loads of space, nice building, great free parking, safe working environment - but none of it can make up for that big fat sour puss behind the counter where you pick up held packages. Yes you know her - that nasty little manager lady with the anger management problem. I stood in line for an hour and 15 minutes once in that line, waiting for a piece of held mail from my PO Box - and there were only 4 people ahead of me. How long does it take you to pull some mail people? What's going on back there - coffee break, a good football game, serious munchies? And if it takes THAT long, maybe you need some help engineering a better process - one that includes a working service bell by the way. Yeah, I love that they tore the bell out of the wall there so you couldn't keep interrupting them standing in the back laughing and taking bets on which customer would lose their minds next. I actually walked in there, and they lost this guy's cashier's check - $25,000. Did I mention it was a certified piece of mail? You may think it's crazy to send a $25,000 cashier's check in the mail... but that's what certified insured mail is for dammit. And what happens? Of course this guy freaks out as Sour Puss Face looks at him with complete disinterest and says, "We don't have it" and no other explanation. So "manager" Sour Puss Face continues, "It's not my problem." Yep. Now THAT'S customer service. And when this guy basically says what the hell does she mean by THAT, she turns around and adds, "I'm calling the police because you are out of control on Federal property." WTF?!? We were all like, dude, we will still be here waiting for our packages so if you want us to explain what a bitch this woman is to the cops, let us know. Even the senior citizen lady next to me was ready to throw down. The first time I left town for two weeks to go back to my hometown, I returned to find that Sour Puss Face telling me "If you leave mail here we won't keep it for more than 3 days." HUH?? Where is THAT rule written, in the "I hate my life because I'm a postal worker" guidebook? When I reminded her that they were supposed to keep mail for weeks, not days, she simply responded, "Well as far as I'm concerned if you leave it here, I'll just throw it away after three days." Not RETURN to sender, but THROW IT AWAY - yes, a Federal crime. I only wish I had a tape recorder at the time. When I went to the manager of the post office, who of course was new, he apologized and said he would personally make sure my mail was forwarded, held etc., but when I did need it forwarded I had to call him personally to remind him four more times while I was away that I wasn't getting my mail. You know who followed up with me after I complained to the USPS head of customer relations, and called AFTER HOURS on their PERSONAL CELL to make sure everything was okay? My hometown post office manager in Newton 02459. Now THAT'S service beyond the call of duty. I've left the 90213 post office permanently because they are corrupt, rude and they suck. You'd figure with that much attention on you and money from the city of Beverly Hills that you'd perk up and put on a smile once in a while, and maybe do your job. But instead, I had to pay these idiots to look at their angry pusses, and to have them forget yet another part of my life in a bin. Get it together USPS - this place is an embarrassment. read more

I am awaiting checks and after weeks they did not arrive so I contacted the people who mailed me the checks and they replied that the CHECKS were RETURNED AS UNDELIVERABLE which is COMPLETE BULLSHIT because I consistently receive the check requests at the same address. This review is for Rony and Pat. I was waiting on a package that I was supposed to receive yesterday, June 13th 2017. Yes, I said supposedly because I didn't obviously get the package. So I checked the website and searched for my tracking number. USPS mentioned that it had already arrived at a "PO BOX" address. I clearly don't remember giving a PO BOX address to the person that was shipping me something. So I called USPS (1800-ASK-USPS) waited on hold for 45 minutes. They said they weren't sure what was going on, so they put in a claim. After 2 hours of the claim, they called me back stating that my package was at this location. The gentleman on the line gave me the phone number and address to this location. I don't even know why I tried calling, have you ever seen a person pick up a phone at a post office? No - exactly. So I couldn't help it, I took an uber from my office to the post office. I waited in line for a good 20 minutes (horrible....but then again I've never seen lines go fast at a post office anyway). I went up to this sweet Asian women with glasses and explained to her my situation, she gave me an answer that I didn't like. Along with her answer, she gave me a "customer concern" form to fill out. This did not make any sense to me, so I asked to speak to a manager. I waited for another good 10 minutes until Pat came out. I explained once again, my story. She asked me to wait while she checked the back, she went and did a little research and came back with nothing. I was already frustrated with the run around over the phone, and even more frustrated when I saw her coming back with nothing. As soon as she walked over to me, Rony opened the door and asked for my name/address... and Walah he was able to find it. I'm sure you get all kinds of crazy people that walk into your location.However, what I appreciate is that you actually took some time to look for my package. If you're looking for your package, here's what I recommend you to do as a customer. Do your research before hand. It's 3 days before Christmas and I'm at this post office to buy some stamps. They no longer have the machines that sell stamps, so I have to stand in line. There are probably 15 people standing in line ahead of me and they only have 2 people working at the counter. This is just poor planning by the managers. Several times I have received the "notice left" - or the 3849 form. Signed to have it redelivered - only to have it NEVER show up. I tried keeping the form and going to the post office (where each person in front of you is a 10-20 mins per person) -waited almost an hour to be told that they could not find the item! I see so many complaints about this post office but compared to many of the over crowded under staffed locations I usually go to in the valley, this place is a palace. I was greeted at the start of the line with a nice lady who helped me with paper work, all while keeping a smile and being super nice to everybody coming and leaving. I actually enjoyed coming here. This USPO makes you feel like you are in a 3rd-World country. 7 days ago, I signed 2 pink slips left in my mailbox, for RE-delivery of my items - 1 was only redelivered 1 item. Still missing the 2nd item, I drive to the PO on Maple this morning to inquire about my missing parcel. The idiot Asian lady at the counter asks me for the tracking # - how the eff would I have that when I signed and returned the pink slip left on my door? Then she asks me for my name, address - 5mins later to return and say to call XXX-XXX-XXXX # to find out where my parcel is. This was after she said, "let me get a manager to come talk to you." she disappears for another 5mins, and comes back to say, "the managers are in a different building." B.S.!!! a joke. read more

The mailmen don't look at the addresses on the mail. I continually get other people's mail. Some days I get no mail because they deliver it to the wrong address. Not only do I get the wrong address number, but often the wrong street too. This had been a continuous problem and there is no one at the post office that takes it seriously. They don't answer their phone. The one time I got through, they said they would get back to me. That was a year ago.....still waiting for them to get back to me! read more

Give these people a break. It's a post office for heavens sake. Of course wait times are awful, they are understaffed. That's not the clerks fault. Plus they have to deal with rude, snappy BH residents all day long and often simply respond in the same manner as they are spoken to. Wait times suck. They often don't have supplies. But if you talk to the people working here and are friendly to them, you'll realize that they are actually very nice people just doing the best they can. Most of the issues with this place are administration issues. For example the hours for package pickup (M-F: 11am-2pm, 3-5pm, really? What if you work?). But the staff here is nice, considering the jerks they have to deal with all day and people who clog up the line with unnecessary requests. Just use the self-service kiosk for stamps or priority mail! Or do it online, save money and skip the line! :) read more
