I was sending some paintings to my mother in law and one of them was framed with glass already. Ramen took the time to make sure the package and the box are secure and safe to send to VA. He made adjustments to the box and asked me to come back later to pay so he can work on the shipment. I was really impressed with his work ethics. Attendant was rude, gave a lot of attitude for me daring to ask for a receipt for a simple fedex dropoff. He made sure to be intentionally slow printing a receipt and also insisted on me give him my name first (even though all the info was of course already in the pre-printed scannable fedex labels). Seriously. I had to sit outside of this business and write this. I went to ship a package he needed a 12x12x12 box. The woman was extremely kin and got me one and we packed my things and taped it up. She then told me that all she needs to charge me for was the box as I was using my own account number. $14.00 FOR ONE 12" box!! I understand we are in the palisades... but are you serious? I only go to InstaMail since they opened. (I did not enjoy giving business to the UPS store nearby - unfriendly manager who doesn't even let the kids paint on his windows for the adorable village Halloween painting contest every year.) Super friendly, fast service, easy going. I've sent packages and also had special items printed (block party banners, big Father's Day cut-outs of the kids, etc ...). Never a problem. The owner will go out of his way to upsell you and "guarantee" that your shipment will arrive on time, even within the state of CA. With a loud voice, he announces this to many customers, one by one. Then, when the item doesn't arrive on time after you paid significantly more, he isn't interested in resolving the matter. I mailed a package May 4th, followed up with him when the package didn't arrive on time. He said that he would research, file a claim and get back to me. Never once received a call back, however I finally was able to reach him after calling the store numerous times (they do not have a working voicemail). He argued with me on the phone, and now tells me on 5/25 that FEDEX isn't guaranteeing anything due to COVID! This business is awful! read more

This is a poor excuse for a business. I will never darken the door of InstaMail Palisades ever again. I have a Fedex account and have used this place on several occasions to package and ship via Fedex. On each and every occasion, the owner/manager of Instamail has screwed up a packaging or print order or, promised a service he was unable to deliver on. I'm now fed up! Go across the street to the UPS store in the Palisades where there is a very pleasant "can do" "how may I help you" attitude coupled with capable trustworthy service. While there is a UPS sign on the place, they also handle Fedex and all manner of packaging and shipping. read more

A fantastic option when you need a notary in the Palisades. The UPS Store is the usual go-to and, yes, it's a lil cheaper for notary services. However, the UPS Store's service is awful and notary hours erratic. This is not so with Instamail. Their service is great and it's easy to know when the notary will be available. Friendly and courteous, will do whatever it takes to get your order "finished " in a timely and friendly fashion. First to Review Do NOT do business with these greedy horrible people. For years, we've been doing business with the UPS store virtually across the street from this Instamail franchise. We thought we would spread the wealth around. Give a local family a chance to make it in our town. The UPS store makes it so easy to mail packages. If you have the label, you can just call from your car and they will run out to pick up your package/box and happily tape it shut and send it on its way for you. The customer service is great over there. They recognize that parking is an issue and if your package just needs a few pieces of tape, they will accommodate you -- even though they are not making money from this transaction. Last week, I went out of my way, parked, got my two packages and brought them into this Instamail store. The jerk behind the counter proceeded to question me. "You don't have tape? I'll let it slide this time but next time I will charge you." I said, "what? For a few pieces of tape! The UPS store never charges for tape." (Gesturing to the two tape guns he had sitting next to him.). -- He made up some lie about the UPS store charging for all kinds of things. He actually had the balls to say, "we don't make any money from this and tape costs money." I started to get angry, he again said that it was no problem this time. I left the store. I sat in my car with a horrible taste in my mouth from greedy little man's crap. I decided I would take my packages and bring them across the street to the UPS store where I knew they would be safely sent to their destination. I grabbed 4 quarters, put them on the counter, (my 2 boxes were still right there with 3 pieces of tape on each one). I put the dollar down and let him know that I will be taking my business elsewhere. He said something like "you don't need to do that." I then let him know that he is nothing but a greedy jerk. (It's not about the tape of course, it's about the mere idea that he is RIPPING neighbors and friends OFF by even insinuating that it's normal for a mail store to charge for tape. There is NO EXCUSE for this rude behavior. He is nothing but a greedy and condescending jerk. He actually had the balls to first act as if he was doing me some big favor by putting a few pieces of tape on my packages. He then proceeded to ask me why I was so upset about some tape. What a horrible man. When I did take my 2 packages to the UPS store across the street, they howled with laughter at his attempt to steal from his customers. They also informed me that they have heard other similar horror stories from this so-called business. Do NOT support this horrible family and their attempts to steal and humiliate the people of Pacific Palisades. NEVER again will I step foot in there and all my friends, family and neighbors have and will continue to hear of their shady practices. In fact, this review is only the beginning of the exposing of truth that will happen around this encounter. They should be out of business very soon. It will be my pleasure to make sure this type of human waste is not in my neighborhood, around our children or taking up prime retail space on via de la Paz. Quick and efficient notary service which I found after three visits and two calls to the nearby UPS store in a attempt to track down their notary and find out if he could provide a certified copy for me.
