My neighbors are still waiting for a week's worth of mail after we were told the lock on the box was frozen. There has since been a thaw. I attempted to get my mail from the postoffice but was told there is bunch of unorganized mail to go through and was given a fraction of what I am expecting. This large Post Office is the slowest, worst managed, poorly staffed and grossly inefficient I've seen in years. And that's saying something. This is based not on one visit--which could've been a fluke--but 6 visits over 3 weeks. Often only one window is open, and there are only 3 anyway. One employee spent a half-hour with one customer on a passport application, while 14 people waited in line, as he openly whined about everything in the process yet the customer needing the passport clearly had done nothing to prepare and had no idea what his own responsibility is. The person at the other window took 13 minutes to check 2 packages, clearly with no sense of urgency at the line of customers out the door. And when I got up to the window, I was charged $31 for a "priority express" letter to another city in Ohio only 88 miles away, and yet couldn't guarantee next day delivery. This place clearly lacks leadership and accountability, and its an example of why UPS, FedEx and other carriers are cannibalizing the USPS's business. read more

What a wonderful customer service. I spontaneously send a package to my family in CA and stopped by this post office since it was the closest one to my hotel. The staff was friendly, fast and very efficient. I had a few ppl in front of me but really didn't have to wait very long until It was my turn. I live in Beavercreek and dread having to go to our post office. Everyone is super slow there and not very friendly. We often wait 30+ min in line with only 4-5 customer in front of us. read more

US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Hilliard, Ohio

As a Poshmark seller I frequent the local post offices of Franklin County on a regular basis and generally find the staff in most of them to be helpful and efficient. Although the 24 hour drop off bin is consistently jammed at the Nicolas Rd location, but I digress as this review/PSA is for the Hilliard Leap Rd location. On Monday morning of this week I dropped off two packages in the bin to be scanned. Due to a line and having to go to my day job I left them in the bin and went to work. Both of these packages had 2 day priority shipping labels that were clearly marked, well taped, and secured. I then left and went to work. Because I sell and bring things to various Post Office locations frequently I know that typically the item is scanned in by that evening or at the latest the next day as it's two day shipping with Poshmark. When it was still not scanned in my the next day I started to worry a bit, and when the other package that I dropped it off with was set to be delivered, I knew there was an issue. When I called on Weds, I needed to wait until Thursday, and when I called on Thursday, I was asked by Skip the "Post Master" "why I didn't get a receipt when I dropped it off" and that "he did not have time to assist me" and when I said the package was important because the merchandise was irreplaceable and expensive, he said that "all packages are important" gave no apology whatsoever, and told me to call back the next day. Meanwhile I'm being asked by Poshmark why I haven't sent my package with the two day Priority shipping label they sent me because they are concerned that it is not tracking. From the time that I have been trying to call back from Friday morning right at 9 am off and on until they close at 6 pm yesterday to when they open today until close at 1:30. The phone has been busy every single time. I ended up calling the Dublin Post office to see if I could talk to a human there and they were actually really nice and helpful but the package is still nowhere to be found. Please do better Hilliard Post Office. read more

Staff was rude and unhelpful. They wanted previous packing label removed from a plastic bag instead of just covering with the new label that was the exact same size. Implied I was incompetent for not knowing this and not remembering USPS is the only one that won't tape up the package for you. read more

The gentleman who assisted me yesterday was very kind and gave me the paperwork to renew a passport. To day when I returned the lady that assisted me was very curt and almost downright rude. I will wait for the kind gentleman next time and if she says anything I will dress her down. I'm not usually that way but I just needed some help and instructions on sending the items correctly. She definitely doesn't need to be at the front counter. read more

Very dissatisfied with the service I asked for assistance from the post master and one of his supervisors at this location. I personally left a large postage paid box on the counter and many days went by without further tracking. On numerous occasions after talking to the management I was told and assured I would receive a return call after they researched but no calls came back to me. My wife went to the branch as was very rudely treated when she was simply making further inquiries. Many people in the branch were amazed at his rudeness including staff. All I want to know is where my box is and why it was not delivered. Not hard, you would think. We are escalating to much higher levels. read more

I am a fan of this USPS location!!! I am so grateful to a woman named Amy who went far and beyond locating an express package lost in transit. It's employees like Amy, why I continue to support USPS. I live and sent my package from California. The last scan was in Los Angeles. I had called the general number which created a case # & also gave me the direct number to this post office. I got lucky to speak with Amy, who was calm, understanding with a great sense of humor and just simply a darn nice midwest lady. She followed up with me with a personal call. I truly appreciate the direct human to human customer service. Especially when there's a thousand plus miles in between transit drama. THANK YOU AMY! read more

Hm. The location is odd, in the sense that if there's any traffic it can be hard to get in and out. The parking lot itself is a bit odd, not laid out very efficiently. The building is older than you might think, but clean enough and laid out well inside. There's the usual post office line, but things moved reasonably quickly. Service was good. The manager came out and tried to speed things along if anyone had simple needs. I'm sure I'll be back. read more

This is the fastest and friendliest post office in the greater Columbus area. I have to drop off multiple packages for work sometimes more than once a day. Even when there is a line, the staff does their best to be efficient and move it quickly. It's also easy to get to and parking is better than most! read more

Usually they're ok, but, today was horrible. They close at 130pm, I was informed, but the attendant was already rushing me at 110pm. I said from the get-go that I had two kinds of shipment, one local and one international. While processing the local, I asked the attendant for options where I can know if the recipient did receive the envelopes, etc. He did give me the details, but as he was printing labels for my three things, kept muttering "Jesus" under his breath like he was frustrated. Anyway, I ignored this, and after the local stuff were done, I proceeded to present the two bigger envelopes I had that were supposed to go to the UK. Attendant proceeded to tell me that this will "take forever" and I should have told him "if there was anything else", and even alluded to just have me come back on Monday (it's a Saturday) to finish this part of the transaction. At this point I got really frustrated, told him to just ring me up for the local transaction and I took back my other envelopes. Mind you at this point, it was 110pm. I did not walk in there at 129pm and expected to mail ten million things. I think he noticed the change in my tone and offered the forms I need for international mail and said if I wanted to fill them out then he will still process those. I said never mind, and left. I went to the UPS nearby and gladly paid $85 for the the two flimsy envelopes I needed to mail international. My time is valuable too. When I am on the clock, I work until I need to be off the clock. I hope I never see this attendant in the hospital needing something from me close to shift change. read more

Although I've had some issues with my mail delivery, the Hilliard USPS staff has been helpful and professional. The post office location is convenient. There's plenty of parking. And the automated postage machine is a must for efficiency! Horray! For months, a lot of my packages have been scanned as delivered before actually being delivered to my mailbox. The delay is usually one to three business days. It was extremely frustrating. I track all my packages. The inaccurate information has been stressful. Every time I call this post office to ask, the staff member is always diligent in returning my calls after contacting the delivery person on my route. I appreciated the responsiveness and courtesy from the staff. The actual post office location is convenient. It's clean and well-managed. The service is excellent. Everyone I have encountered has been pleasant and nice. There's a drive-thru mailbox for quick drop-offs. There's a full-stocked area with flat rate boxes. And the automated postage machine is my favorite. If I'm in a rush and I need to quickly pay for postage, the machine saves me from waiting in line. I have not encountered any problems. Mailed a package using the self service kiosk here only to find out (over a week later) that the prompts on their kiosk led me to select an incorrect postage option with no tracking number or insurance. Now, 13 days later, someone finally tells me that the package is likely lost and won't be making its way either back to me or it's recipient. Beyond frustrated with the experience and service here, won't use the USPS again until I get a response as to exactly what happened to my package. read more

This week we have a sub for delivery. Today they were top coating some of the roads, but the Board MADE SURE they were open to the mail boxes not being worked on. The sub "slug" did NOT deliver the mail......Just LAZY federal employee. There was plenty of room and I was expecting medicine, but no....they couldn't get their sorry a__ here.......... The regular delivery person is GREAT..........subs are HORRIBLE. read more

I'd put this post office just above average compared to others I've been to in Columbus. Every time I go, there's a huge line, but they move you through there quickly. There are always lots of people working, and there are always plenty of shipping supplies including flat rate boxes and a variety of stamps and small gifts. It's clean and bright. It's always decorated with the latest post office garb. There's enough parking out front. And there are lots of stores nearby in case you forget something. The workers are upbeat. You can get a passport at this location if you need to. They could use a few more tables for people who are preparing packages or filling out forms. And if they had some of those DIY station, I'd bump them up another star. No real big complaints. Alas, four stars will have to suffice. read more

This rating is for the Postmaster. The worker out front would get a lot higher rating. Our company has a P.O. box. Originally mail was supposed to be in box no later than 9:00. They then changed that to 9:30. Now it is whenever they feel like it. The clerks up front have been very helpful and would go back and retrieve our mail that was supposed to be in the P.O. box. The Postmaster yells at them and tells them they can not do this. I guess in their mind it is ok to take money for P.O. boxes under the agreed upon time from but no honor the conditions agreed upon when paying. No wonder they are losing customers. I will see about switching to having our check come electronically since I cannot depend on the Hilliard Post Office to do the job in the time frame that was promised. read more
