Tried calling multiple times and no one answers. Workers are extremely rude on top of that. Refused to help me even after they had just finished helping someone else due to them being "closed" I was last in line and was refused. I am a person of color and the lady looked me up and down before telling me they're closed and come back Monday. First they didn't deliver my package and now refuse to help me and give me my package. I expected a package today, and it was here except carrier didn't leave it. I live in secure apt building that has a lock box with key on front door for certain services, USPS is one of those services that has a code to the lockbox so he can use key to enter building. my regular carrier is out on medical leave (I spoke to him before he went on leave) his replacement carrier would get all the tools to do the job right, just like any profession. code box that accesses the key would be one of those tools. for whatever reason this carrier was lazy and found it easier to leave note in my mail box instead of do his job correctly by getting that code (it's only 4 numbers, not hard and this is not Fort Knox so no hoops to jump thru). I needed that package today cuz I leave town tomorrow and needed tontake it with me. and because he can't get to our property by 11 am like my regular carrier does, it will not be left and because I don't drive I won't be able to get out to post office to pick it up. I was given phone number to call delivery supervisor. I called 18 times for whatever reason Eagan must see it important to answer there damn phone. I have no patience for people who are lazy in there job. I don't care if its a federal employee or the local coffee shop employee. we get paid to do a job. if u can't do it correctly than they have no business having that job. read more

This is by far one of the worst USPS Offices in the country. And with how bad USPS can be, that's a high bar to reach. I wish 0 stars was an option. The staff knows nothing about their own policies and procedures. When I was trying to ship a package, I got different guidelines from every person that worked there. It ended up taking 3+ hours and I was constantly getting new information from unhelpful people. The staff at this location do NOT care in the slightest. They really don't know how to do their jobs. One woman answered my questions incorrectly and then asked her coworker if she could go on break. While we were still talking. This place is dank and depressing. If you can choose between going here and tossing your package in a lake...definitely chuck it in a lake. read more

This is a small post office that always seems under staffed. There almost always a slow moving line no matter what time you come. This post office has the necessary supplies for all your shipping needs with cards, tape and envelopes. My only complaint is the long lines and slightly unpleasant and overworked staff. read more

I wish I could post negative star ratings for this Post Office . I've never had such bad service from the USPS!!!! This office is beyond inept. We rented a box here because they said we could have packages from other carriers delivered by using their street address so that we didn't have delivery sitting on our porch. Well good freaking luck with that!!! I had medical supplies shipped here and they lost it. Had a duplicate the shipment they lost that too. The third box I had shipped to my house. They said they don't scan other vendor deliveries. My original orders just showed up literally three months later. Good thing I didn't need them for life support. But they can't even get their own shipments, delivered. I just drove 20 minutes from my house to pick up a priority box that I confirmed was delivered this morning at 9 AM and there's no key in my box. I hear people in the back and they won't answer the door. Now I have to drive up again here tomorrow. And there's no point in complaining because they just don't give a rip. DONT RENT A P.O. The drive through mailboxes were overflowing but I couldn't get anyone to do anything about it. Not their job, I guess. The monitor was frozen in the merch section...for at least six weeks. I pointed it out to several people on several visits but no one could be bothered to even unplug it so it didn't ruin the element. Not their job, I guess. Went in to track status on a package that has been motionless on the online status for 2 weeks. They couldn't help but the friendly, helpful lady gave us a number to call..the generic USPS number. I've been on hold for 1:41:50 listening to sad hold music. I'm pretty sure I know what they'll tell me and I'm sure it;s due to Covid that my package sent on 11/30 is still "in transit". Not sure why this Post Office has such a low rating! Been going here for 10+ years, and I don't even live in eagan anymore! There is plenty of area to wait, the counter along the line is handy as you wait, rather than having to do all packaging work and THEN get into line. Auto post machine is great too. Staff is helpful and efficient. I make it a point to frequent this location. Recommend! read more

Our postal service consistently does not pick up or deliver our mail at our business for many days in a row. We call about it and they could care less! I wish they had negative stars to review with as they would get the max negative star rating! We just called twice about their continued lack or delivery service here. A government employee works there called David has answered our calls about our constant has heard our constant no service issues here and does not understand our complete frustration or importance of our happening mishaps here at all. In fact, TWICE he has hung up on us and he thinks he in above listening to frustrated customers which is a part of having business if big issues arise! He also will not let us discuss this with his manager. He just hangs up....WOW....horrid. This is for real.... If this was a private business, an employee like this would must certainly be reprimanded or even fired but this is the government so I guess it it ok to treat their customers so poorly! This post office leaves a bad vibe. We do NOT get our mail until after 10:00 PM or sometimes not at all. The mail we have placed into our mailbox doesn't even get picked up. As post offices go, this one is extremely sub par in my opinion. It always has long lines. Always. The employees are generally not helpful, don't have knowledge of postal rules and regulations, and seem like they take breaks even though there is a line of people waiting for assistance going out the door. If you can find a non-grouchy helpful employee, buy a lottery ticket that day as you are one charmed individual. I particularly like that a year or two ago they added a vending kiosk, you can buy postage without ever having to encounter a grouchy employee. I'm sure the idea was installing the kiosk would cut down the people lining up to be serviced by The Grouch Crew. But guess what! The opposite happened. Now there is a long line for the grouchies and there is a long line for the kiosk, because apparently only technology challenged people choose to interact with a computer over a grouch. And as per government regulation, there is no grouch on standby to help out technology challenged line killers, so they just flounder about pushing buttons, uttering curse words, and slapping the side of the kiosk. Some even kick it. I don't know about you, but I've had plenty of computers that would work better once it was given a good beating. I can totally see the theory of kicking the kiosk and miraculously having it spit out the correct postage. Long story short, this is not a good post office. I would go to any other before this one. Drive a few extra miles to Apple Valley, or Rosemount. You will be glad you did. read more

I'm thrilled this location has the self-shipping kiosk. It's saved me time, and worked well over the years. Especially since I can ship packages at 6 AM. Bonus points for being located near my employer. Have you ever heard the phrase, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it?" They did. And their new kiosk sucks. Am I overreacting? Let me elaborate. The touch screen requires the pressure of an elephant's foot. But you have to place that pressure accurately within the screen. I find that a knuckle works best, or perhaps a fist? Instead of merely a zip code, you need to enter the house number and street now. This new technology also MEASURES your package! But it never,ever works. Nope,not once. And the pressure (from the hordes of hopeful shippers behind you,waiting for you to enter your information) required to manually enter height,width and length of your small box mounts with each minute that passes.You need to punch each measurement accurately before it rewards you with the next screen of frustration. Now, let's cover the credit card slot. If it recognizes your card, this process is close to a minute. Let's say you brought more than ONE package to ship-there ARE folks doing this nowadays. Efficiency might allow you to COMBINE postage costs on a single receipt or transaction. That ain't happening here. The new machine leaves you with enough paper to start a recycling company, while your fellow kiosk users impatiently shuffle and exhale dramatically behind you. There is no single improvement from this new kiosk. Is there any wonder why the USPS offers home pickup? read more

The Eagan post office at Phone 651-405-3068, 3145 Lexington Ave S, Eagan, MN 55121, never answers phone or e-mail. It should have a MINUS star! I have a valuable package that has been sitting there for almost two weeks since August 27, 2020. The package was here from China in 10 days, so it will now be sitting longer than that in Eagan. Has it been stolen internally? Who knows because this facility is not accountable and doesn't answer the phone or e-mail. Initially, the package was delivered to the Brooklyn Park post office and then mysteriously sent to Eagan rather than delivered to me in Red Wing. I have had several packages go missing after the usps mail carrier states on the tracking report it was delivered. To who because it sure wasn't in my mailbox? In the process of trying to get my $125 back from a misplaced item I bought last week by having to file a police report....which if it gets denied the company I bought the product from says they are not liable to replace. They don't even answer their phone. Carriers just throw packages on the floor of our 172 resident senior bldg. I watched the carrier do it today tried to call but like I said they don't answer. We have two sets of mailboxes they don't want to put the packages in them takes too much time I guess. My mom taught me at an early age not to through my stuff on the floor. I don't blame the people working there... they are mostly friendly and my sense is they would like to be more helpful than they can be. Some of the counter workers seem like they couldn't care less how long people wait on line or how long the line is, and they don't hurry no matter what!! For some crazy reason, there is often 1 service/sales employee working during the busiest times, such as lunch hour, because others have gone to lunch or are doing other things. The idea that the customer is the most important thing seems totally foreign, and efficiency is on a level with Mexico. If this was a private business, it would go bankrupt in a week. It is in total contrast to the service and attitude at UPS and Fed. Express and I avoid going there if at all possible because it is always a crapshoot how long it will take to mail anything. read more

Modern, big post office. I like that they have the self-serve kiosk so you can weigh and purchase postage for packages if you can't get away from work to come to the post office during their staffed hours. Yes, the line was long and it's quite busy, but that's not their fault. In general, most post offices are this way, so I make sure to go when I am not in a hurry. Don't forget you can use carrier pickup too if you purchase your postage online, that way you do not have to stop by the post office. The postal workers do a good job here and are courteous. read more

If I could rank below 1 star I would. Got there at 9:04 this morning to beat the lunch rush. 3 people already in line, and the door over the register windows was still down. After waiting until 9:17, and ringing the bell to have no avail, I googled their direct number and asked 'Larry' if they were in deed open. He was perplexed, " No ones up there? " he asks. After my answer, he said"I'll take care of it" 10 minutes later (the apx. 12 people in line) are told that " It may have something to do with the hacking" ( refering to recent events) Are you kidding me? Im aware that hackers are some brilliant minds, but did they actually somehow come up with a way to make postal employees late for work and had it in mind to piss off people who actually thought ahead to get to the Post Office early in order to be more efficient? I dont feel that was their objective. Infact, I think the Postal employees thought we might buy that b.s. The door went up at approximately 9:28 and after much confusion over who should run the sole register,( instead of opening multiples, because lets face it, we have nothing but time) we are graced with a very apparent ' new' employee who is having various issues dealing with the complex system. I believe that when all was said and done, I left there at approximately 9: 47, so it took me roughly 44 minutes to close my PO box. (I was 2nd in line) Many other's had long given up and left. Probably to the UPS down the street. After my experience,I just had to let you all know that you can feel good knowing that your government is hard at 'work.'
