Husband needed to drop off a return package. I knew that this location had a self service station. My husband was able to go in and print off his shipping label with ease and drop his package off. Devin and Nikkia, helped locate a letter that was returned to the post office, because the letter carrier was unable to deliver the letter. On February 12, I went to the post office to see how I could find that letter. It took some searching, but Devin was able to find it. They were courteous, very professional and kind . Florissant Post Office Two coworkers died on the clock. Supervisors still pushed quotas. We were told to keep going. During COVID, we were ordered to hold regular mail and only deliver political ads. I worked 16 days straight, 14-hour shifts, even used my own car to haul leftover mail downtown. After a head injury and later two surgeries, management tried to fire me while I was still recovering. My union said I was safe -- the next day, I was told to turn in my badge. I resigned, but they still took me off the clock three days early. I've learned how little protection workers have -- even in a government system that's supposed to serve the people. We can do better. We must do better. read more

The person that assisted me was rude and unprofessional. I was mailing a package. She told me that I needed to confirm the mailing address on the screen. I informed her that the address she pulled up wasn't correct. She kept asking me was I sure. Then she said I had the address wrong on my package. I have been mailing packages to that address for years. For at least 5 mins she kept saying the address was wrong. Then she had the nerve to say the address on the package is too long and she's not going to type all of that in. I have never experienced anyrhing like this in my life. I said I was just going to go to another post office. She said they will tell me the same thing. Well I know that's not true. I looked at screen and correct address was showing Instead of apologizing for her mistake she put her hand on her forehead and started shaking her head at me as if he incident was my fault. When I called her out on it instead of apologizing for her error she was trying to argue with me. I was sending a package priority and the clerk who barely responded when I spoke to her started the process. I made a mistake and hit yes on the part about explosive and I apologized and she said you did that on purpose becauseI was I was looking right at you. I told her it was a mistake and I'm 71 y/o with poor eye. She told me she was tired of hearing us coming in and throwing our age around as an excuse. Then when I tried to pay in cash she refused stating she didn't have change and I was left no choice but to use a credit card but I wanted to pay cash. So after I payed with the credit card,She commented now that's what most people do when they come in here is use a credit Card. I told her I was going to tell my daughter how she had acted during this transaction. She told me have a nice day. This lady was just down right nasty to me and I believe it was because I was older and she has a problem with the elderly. I'll never go back there. I left there feeling humiliated and angry. I was upset all the way home. I was a critical care nurse for 30 years I would not have had a job if I spoke to patients that way. read more

5 stars because in the past I almost went off on someone here and had to leave. Haven't been back in almost 5 years.. But the past 2 experiences haven't been bad at all. I could tell they were tired or tired of people so I made sure to be nice to them and treat them with respect/kindness and they did the same. I will definitely be back here as long as this continues, it was super quick and easy. Just have everything in order with your package before arriving. The absolute WORST post office I have ever been in, and this has just happened at this branch in the last couple years. Window clerk is always angry and rude and refuses my packages (that are professionally and properly wrapped) and her supervisor, Devin, is super rude and argumentative - will not even listen to you, just starts going off on you. I had some packages to send off and I got there the staff was helpful in getting me processed. They advised me on what to buy to go the cheapest route to get my packages off. They helped me packaged it up and I was very satisfied. There was a wait however, they had only 1 lady working and she was moving the line fast by herself and answered everyone's questions. This post office is a little run down on the outside and has become run down on the inside. Most days the door to get in is broke. I love love love the Automated Postal station. I can ship things for ebay at 1 in the morning in my PJ's and flip flops. But I now just ship on eBay to get the discount they offer. They also changed the hours and close earlier than what they used to. PS I do also think the service sucks when you have to wait through the line. I have waited forever at times for something very simple. I do most everything online now and just weigh the parcel and get the discount for doing it online. Seriously makes it worth going to the post office just to drop an item in the drop and not have to waste half your life in line. read more

I truly had to take time to send this compliment. I didn't get help from ups so I googled the closest usps. I was afraid to go to one because I have always had bad experiences from where I live( horrible horrible and nothing you can do about it). This usps is about 35-40 min away from me and it was pretty big, so I definitely was intimidated. I read the reviews on yelp and said to myself" well you have just two items and no packaging, this can go wrong". I walked in and there were two gentlemen there and I walked around looking lost I assumed and I picked up a package supply and put it down and went to another area. I overheard a male saying something but I didn't think it was to me as the employees were working with the customers they had. I ignored it. I heard something again telling me which package to get and put what I had down. I was so happy I indeed put it down. I had another small tiny item to mail as well and I grabbed a box. The gentleman mentioned while being able to work with customer and visualize at the lost helpless customer. " ma'am don't get that box, let's mail the first one out and figure the other one out. Wow!!! This is nothing like the usps where I'm at or the surrounding area. I was nervous because my number was called and I didn't get to close the package. There were two customers who were after me and the employee motioned for me to come as it was my number that came up and he looked at my package and did everything so fast. No attitude or treatment as being incompetent. I did have another small package but the other two customers seem as if they were in dire need of help so I stepped aside and packaged the item. I came back and no issue. Mailed out. I told the first employee that he was so very nice and I appreciate that. Where I'm at they are not and the service is horrible. The other employee was nice as well. Honestly I would make the drive to come out 35-40min to get service like this. Very nice gentlemen and I appreciated the help and actual service. Never saw someone being able to multitask As it should be but when you encounter someone like that, please acknowledge it Because it's rare. read more

This location has gone downhill, so much rudeness as soon as you walk in. They don't want to help you at all here! I usually have my packages dropped off at the counter since there done at home selling on marketplace & eBay. I had to send back a package to China which is insane price to ship back but anyways I get to counter and the worker thinks he is a king or something. I forget his name but he gave no help on filling out the paperwork for customs plus he had me go away from the counter and fill out the form there instead. I said I'm not going over there, I'm staying right here with you to get this done and over with. He says no and I tell him this is some bullshit arguing over the situation. I waited in line for this crap! I look back at the line and there are so many people waiting! So I started to fill out the customs form then decided I ain't got time for this and I left out of there quickly. He wanted me to wait again in line, would have been there forever! Today I left the Florissant Post Office and was deeply saddened by my experience. I am a P.O. Box customer and today i was treated completely unfairly and patronized by supervisor and management. This post office offers a 24 hour p.o box service so even if the store is closed you can still have access to your packages i came in at 7:30 but all my packages weren't delivered. i waited until 8:30 when the store opened to ring for help even though someone had just helped me. I ring the bell and wait after about five minute the clerk Devin who i've interacted with on previous occasions points at me and tells me to get on n line because no one is back. I said someone is back there she just helped me ive been here since 7:30. He goes off on a tangent that im just gonna be standing there and he's not gonna help me. I never asked for his help, I just rang the bell. He was being negative and rude so i asked for a supervisor. He said no one was back there which was a lie. Eventually the lady who helped me earlier came to help me again she found my package and went to get a supervisor for me. As i was waiting a man that was cleaning the lobby opens the door you ring for packages that im standing in front of and begins to tell me you think you're better than everyone else you can stand in line, I tell him someone is already helping me ive been here since 7:30 looking for a package from Friday, he continues and slams the door in my face. The supervisor Denise comes and ask what package im looking for i let her know that i got the package but i would like to make a complaint i let her know whats happened she says okay ill talk to them. I said i will like to make a formal complaint she says that this was a formal complaint. I said well you didn't write anything i down, she said she didn't have a pen. I said well can i speak with the manager she said she's busy until 12, i said can i have her phone number, she continued she didn't have a pen. I can tell she was getting annoyed and she came out to get a pen from the clerk who was upset that i rang the bell. I watched as she laughed and joked with him. She brings over the manager's number. I asked can she get my statement again, she says she has it in her head. I asked for her name and left. Denise, Paula, Devin, and the custodian. Im very disappointed. I feel uncomfortable and don't want to return to this post office knowing if i have concerns about the way im being treated by employees its going to be an it is what it is kind of mentality i refuse. I pay my Po box and i pick up my mail all i did was ring the doorbell and that was an horrendous interaction. So incase that complaint never gets filed do better Post Office. read more

Everyone is usually very crabby, curt and generally unfriendly here. I always am holding my breath to see which one it will be (sometimes it's a lovely combination of all three) If you ever need to call to find out about a package--good luck. It seems like no one really knows what's actually happening here. Also, they have a policy of only accepting credit cards if they're signed. Is this 1990? Most people do not sign their cards anymore and instead put "see ID" on the signature line. If you did that well then sorry about your luck and hope you have cash. They will not take it under any circumstances. I understand that may be your out dated policy but at least have a sign on the door before you let someone wait in the always insufferable long line and then tell them. Regardless I try to avoid this post office at all costs. read more

Seriously worst Post Office experience I have EVER had in my life. My map thingy told me it was only 5 mins away from my workplace so I decided to try going there to mail a package. I also heard via Yelp that they had one of those electronic mailing kiosk thingies which I have used a few times at the Olive location, and I was looking forward to using that. Well, when I got there (it took 10 mins btw), the electronic kiosk was broken. There was no one I could ask to fix it or restart it or whatever. There wasn't a sign saying out of order so I assumed it just needed to be reset but I don't know. The line to get something mailed was literally 17something people long. I took a number. It said "17" and they were only on number 5! There was ONE woman working a desk. The line was moving at the pace of a snail. If you're only going to have one person working, at least fix the automated mailing kiosk so people can get their crap in the mail and get out! I gave them an extra star because parking was really easy. Ended up going to Laclede post office by SLU and waited 0 seconds. read more

I rarely ever have to mail anything, but my husband is deployed and I wanted to send him a care package. Now because of Devin who works the closing shift on 13 Oct 2020 I'm not sure if that will happen. This store closes at 6:30pm. I arrived at 5:15pm with items to ship. I waited in line for about 20 mins before I was even allowed in the store. The USPS store only allows 10 people inside because of COVID which is understandable however the length it took him to help people was not. Once I entered the store I got two boxes to start packing all the care package goods. Devin yells at me asking if I was shipping to a military base and I replied yes. Very rudely he tells me I have to come back tomorrow. I informed him I leave for out of town tomorrow and they don't close for about another 45 mins. He says he's too busy and can't help me but can charge me for the boxes I have. I told him to just give me the custom forms now to fill out and I can have them done before they close. Devin ignores me. Before it was my turn Devin got into a back and forth debating match with two older ladies about various issues. Finally, it was my turn in line with 15 mins before closing. He takes items out my box, tell me again he has to leave at 6:30pm regardless if I was in the store before then or not.I told him to just give me the forms and I'll fill them out. At 6:28pm Devin closed the gates on me and I wasn't able to send my package. I finished the forms at 6:31pm. Devin was extremely RUDE, ANGRY, LOUD AND UNPROFESSIONAL! If you are stopping in here to mail a package that you already have postage on, you can skip the lines and drop it in the box at the front of the store. Or, if your package is too large to fit in the box, you can drop it off at the front counter- the far right side is where packages go. This may be the same at every post office, but this is the only one I have been inside of in a loooong time. I live in Florissant. And I have an account with Amazon Prime. I order a lot of stuff. I have subscription items that come every month. Last month I ordered some Monster in my subscriptions. Two cases, twenty four cans, 15 ounces each. The box might have weighed 25 pounds all told. I watched for the mail that day.....it didn't come. While Amazon said it was out for delivery. It never came. It didn't come the next day either. My husband went to pick it up. I couldn't believe the carrier wouldn't even leave a notice. She just didn't bring it out. And this month, I ordered a spool of thread. No notice. Just didn't deliver it. Amazon said it was available for,pickup. I set up redeliver. Didn't come the next day either. Service may be the last word in their business name, but there's no service to be had there. read more

I had a pleasant transaction at this post office today now I don't know what will happen in the future but I believe in giving credit where credit is do. Another customer approached the counter when I was walking up stating that she had # 59 well the clerk had called #69 which I had. The teller told her that she had slept her number and had to wait on me since I had the number that was called. l felt the customer was wrong and the clerk handled the situation very well. Why would the customer wait ten numbers later and then react. I know sometimes people may present a problem that is out of their control but CLERK #35 did a great job. read more

It was my first time ever applying for a passport and she wouldn't even look over my documents to make sure I had what I needed. Once I came back with my photo she proceeded to tell me I didn't have the right birth certificate! If she would have checked the first time this wouldn't have happened. I went in to send a letter return receipt. I stood in line having missed the take a number; two people got in front of me. Oh well my miss. I was able to fill everything out and waited in line again; then was told I could have come up front, well say that at the time I'm with you pls. Recently I used the USPS on-line service to hold my mail for a few days with delivery on the day after the hold. Well, that day came and went with no mail delivery. My neighbor also complained to me that he didn't receive any mail either. This may not be the post office's fault but the mail carrier is an extension of the post office. Also, I will agree with the negative comments regarding the passport office. At the time the online and in the post office says there are open in the morning, they are not. Don't waste your time. Why does this office need a bench and chairs for the customers? There were customers who appeared able bodied as not to have to sit. They were people of color who from my personal experiences are always tired,walk slowly and needed a chair. The service was slow and one of the employees spent most of his time joking with the customers and providing slow service. I got here at 1:20 to drop off a package I had prepaid shipping for off eBay. Waited in line with my number as they took people that didn't take a number first. Then the lady at the counter said my package was a couple ounces off and I needed to reprint my label with the pounds rounded because I didn't pay for enough postage. Apparently you can't change this at the post office. I had to drive home, print a new shipping label, then I made it back at 1:55 while they closed at 2. I added 1 star since the service the second time around was a bit faster. The ironic thing about this is that the shipping cost didn't even change after I rounded up. read more

I've been waiting for over a week to retrieve my package, which our old carrier used to bring to the door. I live in a condo , and have centrally located po boxes. My package was left in a larger public box & the carrier leaves a key to access the larger box with my package in it. The only problem is the key doesn't fit! I went back today to get another different package & the same useless key is in my private box.This package could have been left in my regular private box, as it is a DVD! I try to call Postal inspectors cause this carrier gives me the creeps, and they say(a recording)that I can't call them on my cell phone. I find another # online and call it & all I get is static. I guess I'll have to drive over to the Post Office and try to enlist their help. This same thing happened about a year ago. They sent the package back to the post office and I drove over there and they said it went out that morning with the carrier! When I went back to the box, it was gone and I had to DRIVE BACK AGAIN to the post office and finally got my package. I am almost 67 years old and have two hip replacements and have had back surgery, and several other health problems! I will avoid using the .PO. as much as I can from now on. read more

There can be NO customers at all and if you are waiting on a pick up, the people at the main stand won't even go the extra mile. EXTREMELY unhappy with the post office right now. I was always someone who advocated and supported the post office, but no more. I absolutely cringe at the thought of my packages being delivered by the post office versus FedEx or UPS because I never know if I'll receive them or not. I had two packages delivered the other day that were literally stuffed into my small mailbox because God forbid the postal worker went up 14 steps to deliver them to my door or even set them in front of my door. Just now after tracking a package I realized it was supposedly "delivered" last Saturday. NEVER RECEIVED IT. It would not have fit in my mailbox and I trust my neighbors and know none of them would have taken it. I miss my previous postal carrier but whoever it is they replaced him with is awful. That person delivers our mail so late during the week and there have even been a couple of instances we just never got our mail as scheduled those given days. If you want to stay in business you need to improve your customer service and make sure you have reliable employees. read more
