The phone number Ms. Tanya B. leaves in her response to service requests is bogus. Ir rings, rings, rings then hangs up. And every response puts their errors on me, blaming me for the forwarding mail problem. All I do is follow their instructions. And get blamed when they don't follow through and put a VACANT sign in my mailbox. I have not VACATED! I have a temporary COA (change of address).!!! Now mail has been returned to senders and they think I no longer live there. Thanks local US postal service for causing a big fat mess in my life. read more

The Kentland post office has a Marcus problem. This man refused to assist me even though there was no line behind me. I let him know the item I had was expensive and wanted to hand it off (rather than drop off) and collect the tracking receipt too. He refused and said I can either drop it by the side and leave but that he wasn't going to assist me. Not even when his colleague called him out by name saying, "Marcus just help him," he wouldn't budge. So, I left with the package and drove to the bigger US post office near Home depot at Westlake terrace. There a staff assisted me and I thanked her. Stop locking the self service drop box. People need to drop off packages after hours.

The employee at the counter seems has not any interest to work there. She did not ask or explain the charges for the shipping. She automatically added insurance cost. I ended up paying extra for the insurance cost that I did not wanted. read more

Only redeeming quality of this post office is Jeany, she's incredible, compassionate, and competent at a senior level here. Marcos on the other hand...? Goober. He looks like a goober but acts like one too. Every. time. I've come in here, he doesn't want to help me at all. Bringing in a label on your phone to have them enter into the system? Nope. Go over to the counter and take this form and then fill it out. By the time it took him to look for a valid pen and then give me the form and tell me directions, he could've already entered it into the system. Hey, I need a receipt as I'm dropping something off from eBay. "Why don't you just use the machine? It's right there" - Marcos. Well Marcos, I saw that there was no line and figured I'd have to deal with less questions coming here and having you scan the package and do your job. Also, there was a line at the machine.. do you see .. over there? There's lazy, and there's just I don't want to be here and I don't want to do this service standards. I'm by all means for work smarter not harder... But I'm also one for under promise and over deliver. I guess it's on me for thinking things are still like the good old days of actually having a repur with the post office staff. At least I kind of get that at the Diamond Farms post office. Oh and Life Pro Tip: this location is actually considered a retail location and not a bonafide Postal location. So you won't get anything your normal locations have. Favorite post office. Nearest home. People are patient and helpful. If the front counter is closed, you can use the self-service area to mail your package. Takes a little getting used to and sometimes it's slow but it works. Gets my packages from point A to B. read more

This is my favorite USPS in the area. They are located next to the My Gym and Bucca Dipeppo. There is plenty of parking, its a more modern post office or looks updated. Sometimes lines are long on the weekend. Which I expect, however you will get good customer service as opposed to nearby locations. I never have issuses when I mail off packages. They get to their destinations on time vs other locations. The location is spacious and clean. If your mailing off packages with a prepaid label, make sure you request for a scanned receipt. This is important especially if you are making returns or selling stuff online. They offer po boxes starting rate for 6 months is $81, and you have 24 hour access. My only con is they dont stock their lobby with simple USPS documents like the green slip for signature, or slips to change address or hold mail. I had to wait in a long line for something that I couldve grab and go. Other than that. This will be my spot for my USPS needs. read more

I've come here a few times to buy stamps and send packages, including once to send a package overseas. I have generally had okay experiences here; the staff I've interacted with have been friendly and polite. It's great if you come here when it's not busy (weekdays in the middle of the day, if you can manage it), but if there's a queue, be prepared for a long wait. The store is usually staffed with only 2 people at the counter, so they do the best they can but they can only go so fast. You also have to go to the counter to buy stamps. The store is pretty spacious, with an area where you can do your own packaging/sealing. They sell stationary as well, including holiday cards (I saw Christmas and Diwali cards, among others, when I visited in November). Credit cards, including American Express, accepted. There is plenty of free parking in the shopping center. read more

US Post Office - Inside - Post Offices Near Me - Gaithersburg, Maryland

I really wish I could say this to them, but seeing as how I do not want my mail messed with, I am posting for people who do visit this one. By far the slowest post office in the neighboring area. It always takes at least 10 minutes (if not longer), even if there are only 1 or 2 people ahead of me. The store here is huge but seems unstaffed all the time. There are about 2-3 other post offices close by in the area with much faster service; I would consider going to instead of this one, esp if you are pressed for time. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. I went in on a Saturday morning when it first opened up because the package I was looking for said it was being held up and available for Pick up at a carrier location. This older caucasian bald guy wears glasses, told me that it "coded like that" that it would go out for delivery. I asked him repeatedly are you sure it's not in the back because on the app it said it's here for pick up. He was 100% sure it would go out and didn't even BOTHER to look on the back, I don't know if it's cause I'm Hispanic or if he really didn't want to work in morning and do an extra step on confirming that it wasn't there even after asking if he could double check. Anyways fast forward two days, still hasn't came to my house, and I'm sure it's at the post office, if he would've just checked I'm sure it would've been there the first time I asked. Now it's Sunday which it is closed and have to wait for Monday, when the package was needed Saturday, the day I asked to check, and he refused because and I quote after what he said "it's not back there we don't hold packages I would know it's getting delivered today". I'll let you guys be the judge tell me how it's being delivered when it says this three times ......see screen shots. This employee was rude, and lazy. read more

This Post Office is my favorite of all time! I wish it were in the neighborhood where I live. At least it's around my job though which is still wonderful. The ladies that work there always seem to be in a good mood. They are very helpful. this facility is kept stocked with postage material and also kept very clean. Sometimes (depending what time you go the line can be long but they still manage to get it moving quick. I think a lot of people like going here because more than once I've seen repeat customers in there. I know it can seem a little strange to review a post office. For those of us who still use them it makes such a big difference when they're up and running like this one and have a great staff to compliment it. read more

I went on a Saturday morning and was worried this location would be extremely packed however it wasn't. All the cars parked in front were for the children's gym next door. There was only one clerk and she worked fast, even with a long line. She was informative, friendly, and didn't rush me out the door. I prefer this location over the post office closer to my house. The building is large with plenty of counter space. read more

The staff are pretty nice every time I go. It's not that busy in the early morning, there is almost no waiting line.

I noticed this post office out of the corner of my eye as I was leaving Kentlands. I thought this location would be less busy that my local branch since ita tucked away in the corner but when I came in there was quite a long line. While I understand that it gets busy on the holidays, I was there mid-afternoon, but there was only 1 associate working the desk. Another was just scanning packages in front while the line continued to grow and many of the customers waiting ahead of me seemed frustrated and must have been waiting much longer. I left after 15 mins of the line literally not moving and drove to my regular location which had a line just as long but only waited 5 minutes. read more

While I was waiting my turn to mail a package I noticed the other clerks and some patrons suddenly looked to my left in the direction of the package prep counter. It turned out that unknown to me, an older employee had spoken to me which I did not notice because I have a hearing loss. When I informed her of my hearing loss, she obviously spoke louder (fat lot of good THAT will do) and gesticulated semi-wildly leading me to believe that she was asking if I wanted stamps. I indicated my package and said no as I needed package postage, insurance, etc. The younger clerks are, how should I put it, more polite, less embarrassing to deal with, etc. read more
