This US Post Office is located on Frampton Ave in Harbor City. On the midweek late afternoons that I have been here, there are parking spaces either in their own lot or plenty of street parking. At most there have been maybe 5 or 6 patrons in line ahead of me and the clerks have been good about moving the lines along. The number of clerks available have varied from two to four. Most of them were polite or pragmatic personality types. My recent transaction was a purchase of Forever stamps and the SpongeBob ones caught my eye. Mail pickup from my home didn't pick up small bubble envelope from the mail outgoing rack, clearly visible. I had to run it out, and the mail woman confirmed that this kind could be scanned. There is room for improvement, especially after they returned a prepaid business mail package without scanning it. That nearly went as a sales mark against my permanent record. Maybe they're not in the habit of scanning packages (having to get out scanner, etc) and/or it's extra work? Going forward, I wouldn't trust them with important business packages unless I scan it at the post office front desk. This post office is a little hidden if you are not familiar with Harbor City, CA. There is very few customers no matter the time of day I go here. Staff are friendly and eager to help, unlike some other post offices I've been to in the Southbay. Ample street parking and in the parking lot. I've only dropped off prepaid packages. It has a parking lot and street parking, as well. In the front, there's convenient 15 minute parking in green, which is nice! I'm a fan of this location. It would be nice if this office would PICK UP SCHEDULED packages. I have a business to run, and this is a service that is very much appreciated. Keep LOBBY doors open till 7 p.m. or change sign. Called this office several times (phone number not easy to locate) and tried to speak with someone about this and the phone just rings and rings, then hangs up. Been coming here for years. It's not the ideal post office, one of the female employees that works the counter always seems miserable and I've never seen her smile. Her bubbly personality is the best employee attitude that I have seen since Covid. I'm impressed in a good way. I hope the desk workers can learn to mimic her attitude and work ethic. This office is one of the few actual post offices that I frequent. I like it because it's small, which means that usually the traffic flow is pretty good, since it's tucked in a neighborhood. Service can get pretty slow at times, though the service at the front counters has been decent. The employees tend to have a decent attitude, which I can certainly appreciate. Usually when I have to go in, there are either a few people in front of me or no one. I've never stood in line for too long. The parking lot is tiiiiiiny! There are maybe 5 spaces; that should tell you how compact this post office is. There is street parking, but that can be an interesting feat, depending on how busy the surrounding businesses are, as their customers and even those living in the neighborhood also park in the street. My regular mail carrier, Sunny, is great, but whenever he takes a day off or on vacation, my mail is either delivered to my neighbor or not delivered at all. I get daily informed delivery emails and I was expecting 3 pieces of mail that day (1 that was important). I have a security camera in front of my house and was waiting all day, kept checking my mailbox in case I missed the motion detection. Nothing. This really isn't that bad of a post office. I'm not sure why all that horrible reviews. I've been hearing number of times and the people working behind the counter are really pretty friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. align does seem to build up pretty long but I don't think it's the fault of the people working here I think it's just a small post office and there aren't that many people that actually work here. I havent had bad experiences so far but felt compelled to leave a positive review. I had someone drop some return packages but 1 was for UPS. my fault. I called and all I was told was they didnt see it and it was possibly given to UPS driver. I thought to myself I should consider my losses and move on. It was my mistake. Even if I greet them first they barely respond. I can't count the number of times I have called to complain about misdirected mail, my credit card statements and checks delivered to neighbors (who leave it on the step (checks) or toss it over the fence (sprinklers)... having my mail box stuffed with junk mail I have called to stop (cancelled at the source) but the post offices adds (no address on it) no matter how often I tell them No... I probably average three pieces of mail a week that should have gone to neighbors (I have had a stamp made "please forward to correct address"). And, three times have been left notices there is something I need to sign for, take time from work to go the post office and be told there is nothing there... I'm sure one was my winning check from Publisher Clearing House.... how can they write a notice I have something so important I have to show ID and then not have something for me? Sooo, while I was out of the country a package was sent for delivery. I got an email saying I missed it. I went to look at delivery options to see if a family member could pick it up. No luck. I scheduled redelivery for 10/1/18. Sat around all day --no delivery and no regular mail. I called the customer service numver waited for over an hr to be told to call the local office. I call and someone answers asking to put me in hold. I was in hold for 2 minutes, asked how can they help I stated the general information-- no name, no address, no tracking number before being interrupted by the person saying "Give me a second to look into it." I live near by and go to this location often, usually i deal with the older black lady or the tall white man, but lately Ive had encounters with the over weight man and ED. ED was texting while i was talking to him, when i ask about tape, i ask for some tape and he said they dont give tape anymore, I needed a piece of tape for a small package, he snatched the label that i was purchasing out of my hand.
