On 05/18/2026 around 2:30 p.m., a young man (unfortunately I did not catch his name) helped me submit and mail my passport renewal paperwork. I was already feeling extremely overwhelmed due to personal circumstances, and he remained calm, patient, reassuring, and professional throughout the entire interaction. Unfortunately, the employee next to him, a woman with colored braids and eyeglasses, was dismissive and rude toward me. Despite the young man already informing me he could assist me, she repeatedly tried to discourage me from mailing my paperwork there and told me I should go to another USPS location instead. Her approach added unnecessary stress during an already difficult moment. What stood out to me most, however, was how quickly the young man stepped in after overhearing the interaction. He immediately reassured me and took the initiative to help without hesitation. As someone who works in customer service myself, I know how much one employee can impact a customer's entire experience. One person can make someone feel unwelcome, while another can completely restore their faith in humanity. This employee deserves recognition for the way he treated me with kindness, professionalism, and respect. Employees like him are the reason customers continue returning and trusting USPS services.

With the help of Yelp, I discovered this USPS location which was convenient given I had to be around here anyway. I was a little deterred because of the reviews, but thought, eh. I'm already nearby. I usually use the kiosk, and of course it's out of order. I was then forced to get in line. Three people ahead of me, so I prepped to be here for a long minute. And I knew I was wrong about that dreaded wait as soon as I saw there were three workers at the windows. The locations close to home rarely have two workers at the window, but three? I don't remember the last time I've seen that. Needless to say, I was outta there sooner than I anticipated. And the lady who helped me was friendly and matched that service with a smile. I tracked the packages and they were delivered on the day and within the time frame as promised. So it was a great first run. Now on my radar.

Boxes and moved the services to the main line to the right. Pens for packages usually have to be asked for here since they're a hot commodity. Recently, my building had a mailbox key access issue and the post office took a month to repair/replace it. This caused residents to have to come in for mail pick-up, which got a bit messy. At one point, my blind mother went in to pick up her mail and someone released the entire building's mail to her. Thankfully she asked my SO for help sorting it which sent flags up to him to immediately return everything that wasn't hers. He explained the situation and the post office has seemingly taken things more seriously. The clerks? (not sure of the proper verbiage here) seem overworked and exhausted. I wish people were nicer to them despite their frustrations. It's better to stop in instead of calling for things, or set up a USPS account online where you can manage some things.

While I was there, a young gentleman came in and simply asked about a machine that wasn't working. Instead of politely assisting him, the younger clerk with her horrible attitude shooed him away like he was a dog. When it was my turn, I approached the counter and explained that I needed to mail a couple of certified letters. Rather than greeting me or asking how she could assist, the younger clerk shoved the letters back toward me in a way that felt unnecessarily disrespectful and dismissive telling me I needed to go fill out the certified slips. The entire atmosphere in this location is ALWAYS negative and uncomfortable. No smiles, no greetings, no basic courtesy, just horrible attitudes. I genuinely try to avoid coming here because almost every time I visit, I witness customers being spoken to disrespectfully. People should not walk into a business or public service location and feel like they are bothering the employees simply by asking for assistance. Management seriously needs to address the customer service and professionalism at this location. Based on my repeated experiences here, something needs to change.
