This place is a joy compared to one in Bradford. There's a middle-aged woman there that was so rude, disrespectful condescending, etc. etc. I needed a piece of tape because she said I couldn't send a box without it being taped shut and I said I don't have a tape dispenser on me. Do you have a piece of tape? No she says we don't have any tape in this whole building. I said a post office doesn't have scotch tape, electrical tape, duct, electrical tape, tape worms nothing so I had to go all the way home to get 1 inch of scotch tape and go back and she was still just as rude. I cannot believe that place does not a supervisor there that notices how rude she is. And they wonder why they're going bankrupt. I can't speak on the Washington Street one, but there's no way it's any better than the Bradford one thank you for your service Miss Post woman. read more

Area there is NEVER a mailman the same one more then a week then he's gone comes back e or 4 weeks later and he been our mail man forever it seems like till this past summer now every day there's a different person. This place is a joke. If you need anything from them, other than stamps or cashiers check, don't bother going they will fight you'd tooth and nail to get your mail. My girlfriend changed her address twice in their system and got mail in the beginning of her moving, but after a couple months, the mail stopped coming. We checked twice why she wasn't getting mail and they said it was because her name was not in the mailbox. It's a joke because half of the apartment building doesn't have their name in the mailbox yet they still get mail. Make that makes sense. Why would she get mail when she first moved and then just stops out of nowhere??? My postal carriers for this address consistently misdelivers mail - much more often than anywhere else I've ever lived. This has been going on for the past couple years. I'm not sure if it's the same carrier. When this problem first started, I spoke with a mail carrier who said that it wasn't his usual route. But when I saw him again, he complained that the numbers weren't clearly marked. When I put my house number on a piece of paper and taped it to the door, I continued to receive the wrong mail. I first filed a report in June of 2012. Also, the mail carrier leaves some mail hanging out of the letter box when it rains, which has destroyed all mail received. In 2013, I did not receive my excise tax bill in the mail. I went to city hall to ask about it when I had learned that others had received theirs. The clerk at city hall had the document and told me that it was returned to sender and was unsure as to why. I'm not sure either. The Boston office receives my complaints and forwards them to the Haverhill Post Office. Regarding the excise tax bill being returned and the multiple incidents of misdelivered mail, they emailed: "The returned item was most likely processed as a return in error at a processing plant and never reached the Haverhill Post Office. The carrier has been notified of misdeliveries. Special order cards are in place to remind replacement carriers of issues in the past with misdeliveries." Other responses have been similar to the following: "I regret learning of the inconvenience you have experienced. I have spoken with your carrier and requested he check all boxes near your address to confirm all mail delivery has been accurate. If any mis-delivered mail is found he will re-deliver it. Please deposit the mis-delivered mail into your mail box for the carrier to retrieve." I just bring it to my neighbours' house, but we're all getting tired of this. read more

The driver was to deliver a package on 7/18 but said my driveway/door inaccessible, well we have been home all day, my driveway is clear door is not blocked. The driver was either at the wrong house or to lazy, I'm going with lazy, to deliver package. Haverhill Post office sucks. read more

I am so tired of USPS, especially in Haverhill, Ma. So much so, that if I see they are the ones delivering, I actually get sick to my stomach. I am in a rural area and it's so easy for people to steal packages. It's not that far away, but, I can't see the mailbox from the house. When USPS delivers, I know there is going to be some half-hearted effort and the package will either be left in, or attached to, an open mail box, or at the end of my driveway right near the street, or somewhere between the mailbox and house. It is NEVER delivered to my front door. I am in a wheelchair and have to order online a lot. I constantly worry where they will decide to dump my packages as I cannot retrieve them. FEDEX and USP ALWAYS get out of their vehicles and deliver to front door, but many times they hand off packages to USPS and then there is always a problem. You can't say anything to the carriers because they will just take it out on you with future delivery issues. They have really gone downhill and it is a horrible company to trust or rely on. read more

Packages still never make it despite 3 trips and two conversations in person with a supervisor. I get mail that belongs on another street, I get packages that don't belong to me, or on my street...how does that happen????? Clearly my name and address can be seen for miles, how do u leave packages with another name and another address. Everyday at work I am stressed worrying about MY MAIL OR LACK OF. I have had to cancel subscriptions because delivery is so inconsistent. I worry about missing payments, due to missing bills, afraid to order products because now I can't count on the mail carrier (s). Tbis just started in June or July of 2017. Prior to that my mail delivery was onpoint!!! Tonight was expecting a package, tracking stated " package is out for delivery 8 am" well, as EXPECTED it is 9:05and where is my package???? Who knows!! What a bunch of morons! The woman was rude, told me she wasn't "going to waste her time" when I asked for help with a potential scammer. Long story short, I sent an order to a customer, the customer took out what she wanted to keep, requested a return, and sent back the order with the items missing. I simply asked if there are weights recorded when packages go through the system, to compare the weight of what I sent, to the weight of what this scammer sent back. Simple enough question, right???? The woman at this post office wouldn't even let me finish my question without interrupting me a million times, and acted as if she was not understanding my question. It's a wonder why the state of MA in it's entirety is quite laughable to the rest of the US. Pretty comical that a state that has 2 great universities could produce so many morons lol.
